Soi.7 Ratings and Reviews
We used to try to set up department lunches at this place for 20 or so people. Now I don't think I would come back here under any circumstances.
Ever since this restaurant has changed management, it has gone down hill. The food doesn't taste as good. They tell you that the food will be ready in 30 minutes, but take almost an hour to prepare. Even then, it was the wrong order. But they don't seem to care about customer service, because even after informing them that the order is wrong, they just act like... "ok, and..." Maybe it's just the lunch crew, but this is definitely not the spot to go for lunch. Stay away unless you have all the time in the world and don't mind waiting around for them to get your order right!
This was our first time to this Soi.7. The Thai food was very delicious and presented nicely. The cocktails were well concocted and we received the happy hour pricing. The wait staff was attentive and very accommodating. The restaurant is quite large and bit cavernous which was surprising. However it was very clean and well maintained. I will return.
Excellent food in a quiet space, feels like you're transported to Thailand. I stayed all afternoon and enjoyed lunch, tea and a few meetings - quiet enough to discuss private business, large tables available for group meetings/events. Try the duck rolls and the mango / sticky rice dessert - excellent!
It was fairly empty, though I'm not sure why! Delicious food, great service (try the flavored ginger-ales, yum!). Only marking it down for ambiance because we were one of 3 tables seated during the dinner hour, and it's a little weird to dine nearly alone in such a large restaurant. Everything else was great! I hope their business picks up soon.
this is my second time here because i truly enjoyed what i had the first time i was here which was a basil pork lunch special that was served with a sunny-side up egg. i requested my egg be cooked over medium because i don't abhor the clear gel on my egg but i enjoy the silky runny texture of the yolk. my order today came with an over-hard cooked egg so i requested another one which also came over-hard. so disappointing when this was the highlight of my dish that i specifcally came for as i had a craving...truly bummed. service, otherwise, was good.
I go to Soi 7 all the time. I also order and have their food delivered. The food is exceptional. My favorite are the Chili Basil Chicken Stir-fry and Pad Thai Chicken. The service is usually good, but tonight it was poor. The waiter came to our table twice - Once to take our order and once to deliver our bill. I had to walk over to the bar to get a refill on my Coke, one of our guests had to go to the service area and get a knife and they did not give us any plates for sharing. We had a group of three people so it was a little frustrating.
Food was excellent this time. The service was slow, again, as usual. It took a very long time after we were sat at a table before a waiter even approached us to take our drink order. All in all, however, I still come here about once a week because the $12 lunch special can't be beat.
I love the lunch special here, and eat here about once a week. However, the service is usually very slow (regardless of how many customers there are), and this time was no exception. It took a very long time to take our order, an exceptionally long time to get our food, and a very long time for the waiter to realize we had finished. Again, I come here often for the wonderful $12 lunch special, but something should be done to address the slow service.
We went early on a Wednesday (6) and found the place almost empty. It's a huge space, so seems weird. One server/host. I guess it's because they don't have a full bar? I sent the first drink back and was graciously given another I chose which was okay. It's a beautiful space, and I'd like to see it full. But I was glad it was so quiet. The food was good, but not sparkling or special. Service was a bit spotty, but the attitudes were very good.
