Soi4 Bangkok Eatery
…inspired, influenced, accented, and tinged; anything but ‘fusion’. We prefer to think of it as "Bangkok style” eatery.
Always great! Will be back, again and again. It would be nicer if the food didn’t come out so quickly and we could have a more leisurely experience. Perhaps we should just ask for that, but from your point of view I guess the restaurant is so popular that you want to turn the tables quickly?
Amazing food. The service was above and beyond - attentive but not annoying. Best Thai restaurant around
I've always loved the food here. Often, if the restaurant is crowded, the downstairs area can be quite noisy.
On this evening, there was space around us so it was possible to have a good conversation over dinner.
This neighborhood restaurant is also good for special occasions. There is a large menu, not filled with the typical Thai standards, though a few are intermingled. Food is not too spicy when served but a trick is to ask for the condiments tray, and then you can spice it up to taste. The drinks are really good Samui is highly recommended.
We always have a good time at Soi 4 but some nights the kitchen is really spot on, others not so much. Only someone who dined there regularly would notice, though.
All the food was excellent except for the noodle rolls which were very bland. Dumplings were out of sight. I've gone to this restaurant many times and have not been disappointed.
We thoroughly enjoyed everything about Soi4 Bangkok Eatery. The Hostess was very cordial and welcoming and our Waitress was GREAT - very attentive yet sensitive to our conversation. The food was PHENOMENAL and the Chef gladly accommodated some special requests to slightly modify the dishes we ordered. For dessert, I highly recommend the fried bananas and coconut ice cream. Delicious! I'm looking forward to returning to this fabulous Thai restaurant and encourage everyone who loves Thai food to run (not walk) to this gem!
The food here is consistently good. We like the small plates especially the corn cakes, mussels, and the mustard leaf treats. For mains, I love the tamarind shrimp, and the noodle dishes. The tom yum soup is divine.
Excellent food, fast service, very pleasant experience overall!
Service and food excellent
Everything we ordered was fantastic. We will be back soon.
I was especially impressed that immediately when we walked in, the hostess picked up that one of our party is disabled and might have a hard time going upstairs where they had planned for us to sit. She quickly switched a downstairs large table to a 2 and a 4 (for us) and set the table for the large group upstairs.
As always, excellent food and service!
I Excellent food. Lots of choices. Excellent service. Very enjoyable
Loved the flavors at this place. Great service.
Have been going here for a long time ,generally food and service is good
The flavors are always a pleasant surprise, each selection brings a new combination and pairs well with any other dish on the menu. The wine menu could be a bit more robust; but what they have works with the menu and the price is right. full bar, smallish countertop to eat solo or with a friend, nice seating seating areas and they cater to both the date night and the family groups. the mussel starter is wonderful and so is the Monterey squid salad. all the curry dishes are authentic and packaged punch if you ask for spice. a delicious neighborhood gem that never dissapoints.
Not as good as previous visits, food and service was off
Food was unique! Really yummy appetizers and Happy Hour prices were a bonus!
Great and very attentive service. They really do try to make your experience a memorable one.
Always great! We especially loved the tiger prawns and grapefruit salad.
Everything we ordered was excellent
Great food, but noisy. Hard to have a conversation although there were a lot of people trying.
What a great place. The restaurant had just been remodeled and it looked great. Food was excellent and the service was on point. Really liked the Pad se ew and the Thai chicken soup.
they do a great job, prices are fair, tasty food that is authentic, according to our friends who have been in Thailand! Been there a few times and always want to go back.
The food was very fresh tasting and full of flavor. We were seated immediately. We did not have a child with us, but did notice that it was very family friendly. The portions were substantial, and we left feeling full (we had an appetizer, two mains and rice). We would come here again.
Very nice atmosphere and great food
Have eaten there for many years of lunches and dinners. It's a solid go-to restaurant with a varied menu, thoughtful service, and comfortable atmosphere.
The food is always great, but the service during lunch is not good.
We've been coming here since it opened amz have never been disappointed. The corn cakesare awesome. The only time I ever eat turnips is at Soi 4- I'm hungry cit the turnip cakes just thinking of them!
Wonderful evening great food and friendly staff!
Food ok but I expected a little more . Servers were nice .
Interesting menu. Really good cocktails. Fun environment.
A friend referred me to this place. Loved the food and service. Will go back for the fried catfish. The dinner menu scallops and green beans and chicken in black beans sauce excellent. Appetizers vegetable rolls and crab won tons very good.
Food was delicious and service very attentive. The only down side was the noise.
Noisy and rather bland sweet food.
Family in from out of town.
Love this place. Have eaten here many times and it never disappoints. They change a few dishes from time to time to keep it interesting but also keep some of the old favorites on the menu too. Everything is so fresh and delicious. This dinner that I am reviewing was on a Friday night at 7:30, and the restaurant was very crowded and so the service was a little slow. The main dishes were much slower to arrive than usual but we were having lots of fun and enjoying the cocktails and appetizers so it was not really a problem. But I am just noting that the service may be a little slow at peak times.
We had a fabulous meal this past Friday. The place was hopping and we were seated upstairs...we usually go during the week and the upstairs is never open. It is so much quieter and mellow up there and the service was exceptional. We had the crispy veggie rolls, mustard leaves (I’m allergic to shellfish so they made them with chicken...so YUMMY!), pork with squash in curry and wide noodles with pork. Each bite was superb and as mentioned, everything was hot and delivered quickly. Also very good wine and vodka pops. For the price, one of the best meals I can remember in a long time! Beautiful ambience also.
This is a go-to for extraordinary Thai food. The turnip cakes are not to be missed! Also love the Panang Neur.
This is the second time that Soi4 has destroyed our special occasion. New Year's Day was my son's 40th birthday. I made reservations two weeks in advance. Open Table connected me to make sure I was going. Then we arrived at the restaurant to find them CLOSED. We were never told in advance. Afterwards, we were left with few choices because it was New Years Day.
We had to eat at a bad Chinese restaurant.
The time before, my daughter in law made phone reservations and when we arrived, they told her they never marked the date in their book. She has a copy of the message in her cell phone; however, they never tried to arrange seating for us. They told us they were simply booked.
This is unacceptable!!!
They disrespect their customers. We have received an apology from the restaurant.
Don't make reservations there and expect to be seated.
