About Soi4 Bankgok Eatery - Scottsdale
From the Siri Group, a family business that owns and operates four highly acclaimed restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area; the original Sweet Basil Thai Restaurant, Basil Thai Restaurant and Bar, Basil Canteen and Soi Four Bangkok Eatery is proud to bring our newest addition Soi Four Bangkok Eatery to Scottsdale.
"Soi" is a Thai word for side streets or alleyways that, together, form the essential lifeline that makes up the fabric of Bangkok city. Like the city, our menu is a modern take on the traditional through the use of fresh local ingredients, sustainable practice, and creative approach to authentic Thai dishes. At Soi 4, we also offer Thai inspired artisanal cocktails and a wide variety of local and imported beers.
….influenced, accented, tinged, anything but "fusion'. We like to see it as a beginning of something interesting.
Chai yo – Cheers!

Soi4 Bankgok Eatery - Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
We wanted to love this restaurant. On a good note, the service and ambiance were very nice but the food did not deliver. The cocktails were overly sweet and the dishes were over seasoned. Unfortunately, we will not be back and will not recommend this restaurant.
Dibee last Monday with 2 other guests. Slow Monday, which meant less staff so we did have to wait quite a while to be greeted and offered drinks.
The Thai coffee was enjoyed by one guest said it was good. The roti appetizer was quite small, could bump that up in size a bit. One chicken and mushroom soup was ordered and we thought the broth was delicious, the size of the mushrooms and the chicken need to be smaller for soup. We had to cut them up.
Out entrees were pad Thai, crispy chicken and green beans, the sautéed chicken dish and then curry charcoal veggies.
We all really like the green curry vegetables. The curry was very spiced perfect. The guest who ordered pad Thai said it was good, that was a great size portion. Of the 2 chicken dishes, I liked the sautéed one better than the crispy one.
No desserts. Our bill was roughly $130 which is why the lower stars for price. Dinner for 3 at $35-$40 for Thai was a bit pricey.
Overall, there are some good deals on the menu for the price, I would only order one item next time though.
thought the food was fair, nothing special or even worth noting. My husband had the steak salad which was so odd. no dressing on the mixed greens, and a bunch of lettuce leaves like you were to wrap the beef possibly, as you certainly wouldn't eat it like a salad then. we have been there twice and the service is beyond slow. we literally had to wave servers down to get anything, including taking our entree order. The best part was the wings, which are sweet but have a nice kick too. though i love an upscale thai eatery it is very doubtful we will be back.
Three of us enjoyed an early Sunday dinner at 5, and they were just opening. Our server was fantastic, friendly and attentive. Certain appetizers were happy hour pricing all evening, so we ordered crispy chicken wings (excellent!), veggie spring rolls (crispy and fresh), and fried calamari (I thought this portion was a little on the small side, even tho it is an app, and there were no tenticles, which are my fav).
For our entree, we shared the gai gra prow (diced chicken with green beans, basil, garlic and chili), panang neur (tender pieces of beef shortribs in a delicious panang curry sauce), and pad ke mao (wide noodles with beef, basil garlic and chili) All three were delicious. We also ordered three baskets of sticky rice. So good!
There are many great sounding items on the menu. We will definitely be back to try new things
Too bad we were too full (ended up taking leftovers home) to try the sticky rice with mango dessert. Next time!
The food was good, not great but very good. Portions were ok, got the Calamari appetizer and a green curry vegetable dish that I added shrimp to, prices a bit high considering. The cocktail was very good, believe it was a ginger martini. They advertise a wide variety of beers but the list is actually quite limited. The service was good but the most irritating thing about it is the server would hastily arrive at the table and immediately start talking and interrupt our conversation rather than pausing for just a brief moment to be acknowledged. Overall, the food is flavorable, you pay a little more than similar places, the drink menu is hit or miss, and the service was fast but not very courteous.
Beautiful restaurant with dimly lit, trendy, Asian interior. There is seating on the ground floor as well as balcony. Service was good. They were quick, friendly, helpful. We came here for dinner during the weekday and had a reservation but don't think you'll need one if you're dining on a similar day. Food presentation is simple and well-constructed. They have a full bar. I ordered one of the cocktails, and I absolutely loved it. I could have drank 10 of the same drink. The food was mixed; some items were amazing while others were lacking. The Indian bread was a perfect mix of crunchy and soft and the taste left me desiring more. The steak in the Neur Namtok Salad was perfectly juice and flavorful. There was a chef's special: marinated chicken wrapped in pandan leaves. The chicken was extremely juicy, but the taste could have been better. We ordered other a la carte items but the fried meats were too soggy and didn't have much tasted.
Overall, great restaurant, service, drinks. Food also tasty but does have some room for improvement.
Soi 4 is always good. We go at least once every time we're in Scottsdale. It is the real deal. The brown was is the best I've had, not like one gets from other Asian restaurants. Their cocktails are creative and delicious as well, although you can't beat one of their beers.
