From the Siri Group, a family business that owns and operates four highly acclaimed restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area; the original Sweet Basil Thai Restaurant, Basil Thai Restaurant and Bar, Basil Canteen and Soi Four Bangkok Eatery is proud to bring our newest addition Soi Four Bangkok Eatery to Scottsdale.

"Soi" is a Thai word for side streets or alleyways that, together, form the essential lifeline that makes up the fabric of Bangkok city. Like the city, our menu is a modern take on the traditional through the use of fresh local ingredients, sustainable practice, and creative approach to authentic Thai dishes. At Soi 4, we also offer Thai inspired artisanal cocktails and a wide variety of local and imported beers.

….influenced, accented, tinged, anything but "fusion'. We like to see it as a beginning of something interesting.

Chai yo – Cheers!

I have always really liked any dish I have ordered here. The servers are Thai and are very friendly and welcoming.

On our first arrival, a lady was complaining about not being helped so they left. We got seated but we had to help ourselves to menus. We made sure we flagged a waitress down to order and address the wait time issue. She said kitchen was behind but luckily we only waited 20 min for all our food. Pineapple fried rice, pad thai, roti and yellow chicken curry were tasty.

We were there for a little under two hours because service was slow. We were only 3 people. Two tables of two seated after us managed to get their appetizers and entree and leave before we got our entree.

They ran out of mushrooms and we ordered two dishes with mushrooms. We were asked only about the soup with mushrooms being substituted with other vegetables, but not our chicken entree. I assumed it had a different type. Well, it didn’t come with mushrooms.

Flavor profile is authentic so it wasn’t a big deal other than losing umami and and protein from the mushrooms.

I like the lighting and decor. Drinks were nice. I’d come back in a heartbeat.

Had a wonderful evening at Soi4 this week. We were seated right at our reservation time. Found a nice bottle of wine from their Wine List, which is on the small side, but where all bottled wines are also available by the glass. Started with the dumplings which were crispy fried and very tasty. For entrees, I had the pan seared sea bass which was simply prepared but with wonderful Thai flavors. My husband had short ribs in Panang Curry and they were meaty and flavorful. We stopped up every last bit of his curry sauce with a side of warm Roti bread. Shared a mango and berries and ice cream dessert which was great. Ambiance is lovely, service was good even though it was very crowded on the night we dined. We’ll definitely return. Recommended!

Quick little Valentine's Day date. Two apps, a main and two sides were had. Everything is delicious. Sweetness can be found in most of the food we ordered but it wasn't overwhelming and was a pleasant treat. The turnip cakes are to die for. The Roti has almost a creamy texture, as if you were eating a tortilla that was made by a croissant baker. The coconut rice should be a dessert it's so good. I'm not used to Pad Thai being a little sweet but that seemed to be the theme of the night, although the prawns were large, unsweet, seasoned properly and cooked well. The calamari is more delicately cooked here than in other establishments which left it more chewy. A tasty change of pace and one of the only dishes without sweetness. I've been looking for good Thai food since my trips to Thailand but people here just don't know Thai food beyond Thai Basil which is gross. Soi4 is amazing. The timing of the dishes was impeccable and plates kept coming out in a sequence resembling a 4 or 5 course meal.
