I have had many parties here before, I always recommend Sofrito to my family & friends and they have all had a great experience, the only thing that I was shocked about was how they changed the number of guest for the bar packages. Overall I had an awesome time!!!
Waiter mixed up order and brought out the wrong entree. We didn’t say anything but...Prices were also a bit high for the quality and value.
Slow Sunday for Brunxh so It was really nice because we didn’t feel rushed and were able to fully enjoy the company of our party. The monitor that we had at the Bar while waiting for the rest our our party to arrive was excellent. Likewise, The food was good.. The sangria tasted a little weird, both the white and red and the mimosas were overly sweet. Other than that everything was fantastic.
This restaurant attracts LOUD people who are happy to shout at each other to be heard over the high noise level. Fantastic food, good service, but if you are noise sensitive, you might want to go during the day. Lots of birthdays and office parties for some reason. But again, authentic delicious food.
Not my first time there, & definitely not my last. Everything was great, from the food, to the drinks, service and ambiance.
It was a great brunch
The food is always great!
For being Mother’s Day, the service was good and the food came out really quick. Best of all, the food was delicious!
Food was absolutely fantastic and the amount of food served was more then enough amount especially with the price you are paying. High recommend!
Great Brunch! Great drinks! My only complaint was that we had a reservation, yet still ended up waiting about 30 mins for our table.
This has been my fourth time at sofritos and although my experience was not great on the past I decided to give it another try after try because when I sit at the bar the service is not so bad. However when seated at a table the experience is completely different. The servers seem overwhelmed, they do not check on you to make sure everything is ok, the busboy worked harder than the server. My steak was not cooked to my liking, my drinks were not good, I had to go constantly chase after the server as he took ages to come to my table, the service was horrible. It is safe to say that after giving this restaurant multiple tries and chances I will no longer be stopping here again nor will I recommended anyone to visit this restaurant; absolutely horrible!
I took my mother here to celebrate mother’s day. Her food was cold, our waiter never checked on us. I always had to reach out to her for something. She checked on the table next us though, don’t know what that was about. She gave me the wrong order, the food was good but when the check came I asked what this is I didn’t order that she looked at me as if I’m trying to get a free meal and went back on forth telling me this is what I ordered I had to ask for the manager. I’m willing to pay for what I asked for not your mistake. I am not a steak person therefore I did not know the difference until I saw the name on the bill. The manager was kind enough to take off the difference.
surprisingly great for kids..... as it is very loud but also they provide sippy cups and crayons etc
Delicious food but the atmosphere was more like a club than a restaurant
Very good food wait staff was very attentive. Your definitely going to spend a lot, but I think it’s worth it. Not the place to come for a quiet dinner but if you are in white Plains you have to eat here.
Great menu. Attentive staff. Food great. Noise level much too loud
Food is excellent.
Sofrito Whitplains was OK, but I prefer Sofrito on the Hudson in Riverbank State Park.
The ambiance there is so much more better.
It's so loud in there you can't hear yourself talk.
Staff ignored us, no fork or knives.
food was average, they pushed the mohitos.
It send like the server wanted us to serve her. Better training needed. We were a party of five and they automatically added 20% to the bill. The restaurant splits the tip so the staff gets a cut of the tip.
We arrived knowing it was Hudson Valley's restaurant week. I had made the reservation a week before. Upon arrival, we were seated quickly because there were only 3 tables being utilized at the moment. After being there for about 10-15 minutes the hostess informed us that due to 2 large parties the kitchen was closed and we could only be served appetizers. Had they known this in advance they should've called so I could've made other arrangements as this was our early dinner because we had a show to get to. We waited over 25 minutes for appetizers to arrive. Once they did come out, only 3/4 arrived and the other arrived about 5-10 minutes later. We were seated for a reservation at 3:30 PM and didn't get out until after 5. Aside from that subpar experience the food was goof. I thought Sofrito would've extended us a courtesy and reduced the check to account for all the mishaps but they didn't. We paid almost $100 for 2 drinks and 4 appetizers. I am EXTREMELY disappointed as I had been to Sofrito before and never experience anything quite like this, even on their busiest night. I doubt I will return.
They seated us and served us drinks only to come back and tell us the kitchen was closed for 30 and we couldn’t order any food so we would have to wait. We left . Why are they even scheduling reservations during that time
We were given a table in the back which looks like a different restaurant with ABSOLUTELY no ambiance at all - not a candle, flower or low lighting. The front was hopping and trendy and the back was ugly. The food and service were good but I won't be back.
Great job by the staff
Food was delicious. Waitress did a great job.
Bathroom was a disaster!
Have been wanting to get here for a long time but it never works out so finally go there Friday night for date night with my wife. Way too loud a place for dinner and we were in the back room. Portions were very big and food was good overall. Would try to go back when it’s not a weekend night so you can have a conversation without yelling
My overall experience was Awesome. Every time I go there, I try a new drink. Today I tried the Sofrito Express and it was out of this world. 👍🏾👍🏾 Plus it was Restaurant Week. We took advantage of that. The food is always Amazing.
For a Wednesday night family outing it was good. My daughters enjoyed it. The food and the servings were good needed a little more seasoning but overall good
Many usual menu items were unavailable on this night. Our steaks tasted low quality, my side of mofongo tasted more like mangu and my dad's arroz con gandules was stale. This restaurant used to offer a great menu. I'd also like to mention that the ladies restroom was a filthy mess. Toilet paper on the floor and very little to no toilet paper in the bathroom stalls. There was no hot water at the sinks. The bathroom appeared outdated and one of the stall doors had no lock. I was not satisfied to say the least with the overall experience.
The appetizers were the highlight of the meal. That's a sad commentary given the expensive prices for food in this restaurant. Our bill for 5 people was over $200. Only one person had a coke and everyone else had tap water. To add insult to injury, the restaurant was out of bread. As if that wasn't bad enough, this Latin restaurant was out of Flan (seriously?) and cheesecake for dessert. The dessert selection could only be described as slim pickings. Save your money. There are many better restaurants in White Plains.
The food was amazing and the service was good. The only thing I'd critique is that we made a 7:00pm reservation for 6 people. Everyone in the party was there at 7:05pm however they said it would take another 10-20 minutes for them to have a table ready. So we weren't seated until 7:40pm which kind of made the reservation a waste of time.
The music was a bit loud but after dinner they didn't pressure us to leave so we could continue conversations.
Great atmosphere and food. The music play was nice but not overpowering.
I ordered mofongo with beef stew they just gave me rice and beef stew
The waitress was not engaging. The food was mediocre and the noise was too loud. The cocktails are overpriced and not much alcohol. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and would definitely not eating here again.
Booked Sofrito for Vday after hearing great reviews. Arrived ahead of our reservation and were quickly seated. We were starving so we were gawking for our waiter to come around. We knew what we wanted so gave our orders quickly . Long story shorts after waiting 20 mins for our appetizer which was soup they came out with entrees?!?!! QUE! I got up to get the attention of our waiter when Fio the Manager stepped in and saved the night. She apologized was ready with our soups and assured us they would re-fire the entrees to ensure it was hot. She also checked in on us 2 times after that and offered comp cocktails! SERVICE!!! I will sure to be back!
The food was great as usual. It was Valentine’s Day and sofrito had a pre fixed menu. It would’ve been nice to have the usual food menu as another option in conjunction with the pre fixed menu. Other than that, food and service was great.
We really enjoyed the food. Everything had a nice taste and the portions were big. They also make excellent drinks here as well. The service was great too!
Food was great. My husband as I live in queens NY and took the weekend off from work and the kids. Had a great time here EVERYTHING from the food to the drinks were exceptional.
Thanks will be returning here.
