The bourbon selection and dining menu were fantastic! The staff was completely welcoming and attentive. Highly recommend a stop here.
The four of us had four different entrees. All were very good. The one disappointment was the fried green tomatoes. We ordered two orders. They were just too thin and chewy. Our server was great. She worked her butt off outside but provided great service anyway.
The worst restaurant in orlando overvalued you will be seated on a corner with no view no light and 0 ambiance ... do nothing waste your money and time in this restaurant please
We enjoyed a lovely Sunday evening dinner at Soco with its trademark Southern cuisine, comfortable surroundings and great hospitality. Everything we ordered was delicious, but I would say the shrimp and grits and the banana pudding are not to be missed!
Had a great time at Soco. Food was delicious, bottomless mimosas were truly bottomless (tasted great), and ambiance was chill. Would definitely come back here when in Orlando again.
Genie was an amazing waitress! The food was amazing.
Excellent food. Chef is amazing. Not a bad item on menu. Highly recommended.
Always outstanding!!!!
Our son was in town and is a chef for a farm to table restaurant/farm and we thought he would enjoy your restaurant. It was a nice surprise that we found out the Juniper Rice you serve is from his farm! ❤️ Congaree and Penn in Jacksonville.
The food was excellent and could have been the highlight of the meal but the service was some of the best I’ve gotten anywhere. We were the last customers there but treated as if they just opened. Try the lobster mashed potatoes and their Mac and cheese, best I’ve ever had.
Very amazing service!
This is a really great restaurant with simply spectacular food. Highest of compliments to the chef. If you are into whiskey, this will not disappoint, either. Bonus round: get that brunch.
Wonderful place, however when we were sat we were placed up against the wall with no space in front of a giant mirror. I was rather uncomfortable, and I had no place for my purse. I had to push my purse against the wall with my leg to keep it off the ground because if I had placed it on the chair corner it would have gotten hit by the people walking the hall way. I felt like I had T-Rex arms trying to move my drinks or even trying to read the menu. They sat us elsewhere when we asked, very kind staff, just really needed a better layout because no one wants to be placed up against the hallway wall with the tiniest table in the world. ( One regular sized table used 2 of the tables I was placed at.) Not counting that the server had to push herself up against our table to even let someone else squeeze past to get through hallway. Just don’t place a table there. It’s uncomfortable for your staff and for the people sat there.
Great date night spot. The ambiance, service, and food was great! We would definitely go back and recommend it to others!
The servers and host were polite and checked on us before and during the meal. The appetizers were very small and lacked seasoning. I had oysters and my husband had pork belly buns. For our mains we had KFC which was not bad but portion was way too large. That was accompanied by cornmeal crusted okras which had absolutely no seasoning. My husband had the valentine's steak and he enjoyed it but it too could use more seasoning. Overall not bad.
This was our first visit to Soco... its in the same space as one of our favorite old restaurants, HUE and its as interesting to see what they did with the space. We had the “Steak Frites” appetizer which is actually Steak Tartare served with homemade fries and the combination was really great! My husband had the Pecan Crusted fish fo the day that that night the fist was Golden Tile and the combination was superb. I had the Meatloaf and Lobster Mashed Potatoes and it was vey good. The side of fried Okra was awesome and they served Okra 1/2’s instead of the normal okra bites and they were amazing! Our waiter Grant, was very nice and took great care of us. The only issue we had was with our cocktails. We started with Woodford Reserve Manhattans on the rocks and the first round and for the second we had Makers Mark Manhattans on the rocks. The house Manhattan was priced at $8 and and ours were $6 each plus an $11 up charge for both Woodford Reserve and Makers Mark (even though Makers Mark is less expensive) making it a $17 cocktail... there wasn’t a cocktail on the menu for $17. When we asked our very kind waiter about the high price, he went and spoke with the manager and the manager told him that is what it costs... This good restaurant is not a $17 cocktail type of restaurant and while we enjoyed our meal, the cocktail super overcharge has us looking for another place to have a drink and a good meal...
Awesome restaurant! Everything was fantastic. We ordered the deviled eggs, which had just the right amount of mustard flavor. I had the scallops and he had the steak. Everything was tasty and definitely don’t skip the dessert!!! Their potato chip chocolate cake is great and their banana bread pudding is amazing.
The food was absolutely amazing, the service was great, and the all around vibes were perfect.
Thanks for reserving the back room...it was much easier to converse with a table of 6!
Great find while in Orlando. Couture versions of traditional southern fare. Every dish was stellar. Great craft cocktails. Sat outdoors, covid distanced. Really enjoyed.
First time here. Good effort to update traditional southern cuisine. I’ve lived in Charleston, Pawley’s Island, SC and New Orleans, so somewhat familiar with modern takes on southern fanfare. Priced fairly for the amount of time and effort put into each dish. Our server was very pleasant and enthusiastic, but a little green with the menu. Appropriate timing on delivery of apps and entrees. I found my Meatloaf entree to be a tad peppery, but overall was not disappointed with the dish. The accompanying lobster mash and onion rings were both very good. The chicken and dumplings (2) was good, but barely enough for one person to sample. The fish fritters was also good, with portions suitable for two, even three to share. Overall, it was an enjoyable first visit and recommend others to give a try.
Great atmosphere, tasty food. Was definitely a different twist on Southern cuisine. We had the pork belly biscuits, cornmeal oysters, grilled meatloaf over lobster mashed potatoes and Angus burger.
Fantastic food and service. Wonderful place for a quiet dinner. Nice ambiance. Try the Korean Fried Chicken, you won’t be disappointed. This was our first time dining here, now one of our favorites in Orlando.
It's very nice to find a restaurant that is neighborhoody with original food. The Chef at SoCo has a very good sense of Southern cooking without being afraid to do creative variations of familiar dishes. Great value, great bar, great staff, great location.
Food was beautiful and amazing. Very cool vibe however, Bathrooms were not clean and our service was less than desirable.
Leah was absolutely amazing. As a manager in a restaurant I could not of asked for a better server. She was extremely attentive and took care of us even after we checked out. Amazing experience and will be back for brunch again!
The only issue I had is I made a reservation to sit at a high top table and I was sat outside in direct sunlight.
Great food and service. Recommend sitting outside weather permitting.
Enjoyed brunch at Soco’s last weekend for my birthday. We sat outside in a somewhat private area. The music playing through the speakers was a bit loud but not too bad, we could still hear each other and have conversation. Shared the pop tarts, acorn squash, salmon potato cakes, and biscuits and gravy. Everything was a 10. I probably would not order the acorn squash again (wasn’t as tasty as I expected) but definitely a good meatless option. The ambiance inside is contemporary and soothing, definitely a great place for a celebration of any type. The service was on par. Soco’s is a delightful hidden treasure. Do yourself a favor - go for brunch and then afterwards take a stroll around beautiful Lake Eola - you won’t be disappointed. Make a reservation, they book fast. After you’ve experienced Soco’s you’ll see why.
Love the oysters and 1/2 off wine Wednesdays! Always a pleasure to be at Jefferson’s table!
Great service! Jefferson is the best!
Birthday celebration
Our server was awesome!!! Thank you!! We will be back!
Overall, a great experience the food was great and the ambiance was just perfect I do recommend this restaurant for brunch
Great atmosphere, solid service , great food make it for a fun evening. Any occasion!
Made a reservation for outdoor seating for a special birthday which was specifically mentioned on the reservation and when we came in, right on time, they accidentally gave our table away. They told us to wait a few minutes while they set up a table us. After waiting for a little bit, we were told to follow to a table; inside. No forewarning or explanation. When the hostess brought us to the tablet and started to walk away, I asked about outside seating and she said no. I said that I had made the reservation for specifically outside and she said there was nothing available, said a quick sorry! and walked away.
We sat down, ordered some drinks and two appetizers; the hash browns and the pop tarts.
The pop tarts were really delicious and unique. The hash browns never made it to the table.
We ordered our entrees, and they were OK. I ordered $36 steak and egg plate that was good, but nothing to write home about, especially with that price.
Our server was great but the food or the attitude of the other workers were definitely not enough to bring us back again.
Anniversary
Outstanding place! Highly recommended.
Food was pretty, taste was okay.
The food was great but on the expensive side 👍
Will go back next time am in town
