Good place for a business lunch--great service and in and out in a timely way.
Good place for business lunch
A friend and I met for lunch, we had a reservation and were seated immediately. The food and the presentation of the food was excellent. I hadn’t been there In several years but will be returning again before too long.
Great place for lunch. Food is always good, service strong
Overcrowded, tables on top of each other.
Good food, good variety with several vegetarian options - everyone enjoyed their meal, and the service was great!
One of my favorite spots as there's always something on the menu I want to try. My favorite is the tuna tartare!
Server was fantastic and hostess was very accommodating for our larger than expected party.
We had Tapas and our wait staff had helped us with decisions and they were all delicious.
I discovered Society on High walking by their outdoor patio one day and have had several lunches on the terrace. Now I work in the building and it's a great place for us to take business associates. Great food and service!
Get the salmon burger. Best lunch item on menu.
Need lunch reservations - you'll wait otherwise
My coworker and I had trouble deciding what to order--not because we didn't like much of what was on the menu; it was because liked all of it! I ordered the chicken sandwich and she the tuna--both well-seasoned--and the fries and chips were divine and plentiful. The noise level wasn't too loud for conversation, but that might've been because we were seated in the back corner. We will definitetly return!
Host was rude.
Asked for separate checks on Open Table. Got one check.
Our server was lovely, but everyone else there looked miserable, especially the hostess who called to confirm the reservation and then sat us at a table by the kitchen door despite multiple other options. When we inquired about those other options, she was less than gracious. It was clear that there were easily 1,000 other places she'd have rather been than there. Was it her or how the place is managed? Who can say? I'll probably not be back, which is a shame because the ambiance is nice and the food was good.
This is my go-to restaurant for business lunches. The food is good and it’s a convenient location. It was the most crowded I’ve ever seen so I was glad to have a reservation.
Heavenly and will return
Great food, quality service and convenient.
Awesome lunch on 10/31!
Everything was delish!
This was my second visit!
Lunch was delicious, service was fine and it was blessedly quiet! The outdoor seating was very pleasant.
Went for lunch with a friend who was looking for a place to get a good burger. It was excellent and the fries were amazing. Typical lunch/business crowd, not too loud and very friendly staff.
Good as always. Excellent selection of specials, although the swordfish kebob can't be beat.
Food was great. Was seated and assisted in not time. Would recommend the place to anyone who wanted a nice meal and a good spot to talk.
Great great food, loved the variety of small plates! Very creative food. Good wine and ambience. Very wonderful services!
Since the last time I was at Society on High, they emphasize and have a more extensive tapas style menu in the evening (there are only about 4 entrees). The tapas is fairly broad and therefore lends itself to plate sharing whether just 2 or a larger party. We had the risotto balls, calamari, steak tips and kale and broccoli fritters. Nothing cutting edge in that ordering and therefore the results were what we expected solidly executed. The wine list was reasonable though they were out of the original Italian wine we ordered but the substitutes recommended were good alternatives. Service was prompt, efficient and friendly.
The outside area was really crowded and It was very noisy.. but that's Boston lunch
I know no one comments on music in a restaurant, but the background music selection was the best I had listened to in ages. Add that to very good food and service, and you just have the ideal lunch I guess.
society on high is always good. had risotto with shrimp. very nice
Great lunch spot with outdoor seating right in financial district.
The salads are all fantastic...love the Caesar with grilled shrimp. And try the lobster risotto if still on the menu
We arrived a little earlier than our reservation and were seated right away. It was a nice day and we were able to enjoy the patio (rare in the middle of the city!) Great food, great service!
I brought my friend there for her birthday and we were both very disappointed with the food. It was very expensive and not very good.
The broccoli bowl is fabulous!!!
SoHi was a lovely experience - friends and I arrived as the local salary men and women were drinking after hours so it got loud.
It wasn't that bad after food and drinks arrived and we indulged in the '4 for $20' special.
Good lunch spot for a business lunch.
We always enjoy eating lunch at Society on High. Great drinks and great food. We can usually be in and out within an hour (for our lunch meetings).
Greated by a very rude host.
This is mainly a bar with a few tables for eating.
We felt throughout the meal that we were an inconvenience to them and diners are definitely shoved away in a corner.
Food was of an acceptable standard.
Certainly nothing outstanding.
Definitely would not recommend going.
Service was exceptional. Very attentive waitress. First visit at lunch time. Definitely will go back. About 5 lunch specials add to menu choices. Salmon burger was delicious.
awesome! Thank you! we really enjoyed ourselves! will return and let everyone know about you!
Creative and tasty appetizers. Tapas were varied and as creatively presented as they were delicious. The server(s) (evidently we hit the end of our original server's shift) were a bit distracted but still fairly attentive without being annoyingly intrusive.
My wife and I were in Boston for a nice, relaxing romantic weekend to celebrate our birthdays and sort of stumbled into this place. It was a good thing I had researched it online as even though it was only a few blocks away, it's sort of tucked away/hidden in the lobby of the building (99 High). Great little gem of a spot.
Food was good, as always but they took the swordfish sandwich off the menu!
