We decided to try Society on High for some drinks and appetizers. My friend and I are both vegetarians. They had a great menu with excellent variety of food and drinks. The atmosphere was really fun and lively!
The staff was very attentive and the owner came over and chatted with us for a bit.
We will definitely be back and can't recommend it enough!
Great spot for lunch. Arugula salad special was outstanding.
The food was cold and odd tasting - service was great! This place is just so strange, it has really bad music and gross bathrooms but try’s to feel bougie
We shared tapas and each dish was delicious whether a delicate seared ahi tuna or a more earthy poutine. The flavors were all well balanced and portions were as expected for tapas. It does get noisy after work but the service was attentive even with the crowds.
Great Food, great Atmosphere and overall a great lunch
Good experience with slow service for a lunch time event.
Food was delicious. had the lamb chop lollipops which were perfectly cooked and just enough. The fried calamari was very light -you could taste the fish. The flat bread pizza was amazing. And the price was very reasonable. Would go again and again
The staff is super attentive and helpful. I love the atmosphere and abundant food choices especially since I am a vegetarian. Wish there were more vegetarian options but I always find more than enough to keep me satisfied.
Always a good choice for work-related lunch
Second time having dinner here. The food was once again served too cold, disappointing.
Sun reflecting off the building across the street was blinding.
Our server Sergio G. was very professional, engaging and attentive to our needs.
It was a good time
Excellent food and service in a professional lively atmosphere!
Very quiet lunch dining experience. Great options and very good taste
It was 8 pm on a Friday night and there were very few people. Maybe it is in the Financial district and it is way after work hours but still it was strange that there were very few people. I went there before around 5:30-6 pm and there was no place to walk. Strange. Apparently, it is not a night hang out place.
Food was non-plus, service was adequate, but seating was very uncomfortable.
Went to Society on High for lunch strictly because of location - it was central to all the people at the table. The food was good - nice sized portions, and good choice. The table wait staff was fine - the reason I gave it only 3 starts for services was the host staff - there's no easy place to wait for your table, and they acted like they were doing us a favor to seat us. The host / hostess stand sits right next to a passage to the back and to a chunk of the tables, so you are constantly having to juggle to let people through (it was busy and there was virtually no room at the bar either. Had a reservation and got seated close to the reservation time, but they need a lesson in making customers who have to wait for a table still feel welcome.
Service was excellent.
the menu is certainly different with appetizers and more appetizer choices and only 3 entrees. food was very creative. just be prepared to have 5 plates in front of you..
tables are very close together. good vibe if you're under 40.
Great, delicious menu for an upscale restaurant in the financial district. Would attend again.
It was a busy place for lunch on a Tuesday. Service was fairly quick despite being so busy. Food was just average.
They were extremely busy. We were seated right away but we had to wait a while for our food. We had a wonderful, friendly waitress.
I have been a few times for lunch. This time however, they were not adequately staffed for lunch. We waited ~45 minutes for our food. When you're on your one hour lunch break, this delay makes it impossible to eat at a normal pace. Food is reliable, I am fond of their salads, ambiance is very pleasant. They should staff properly for busy lunch time.
It is conveniently in the financial district and service was great - efficient. The salads are very good.
Food was excellent, good draft beers and excellent service.
Consistently a great place for lunch meetings. Fresh food cooked the way that you like it with fast and friendly service.
Great location for a work lunch. The service was fantastic.
Great staff! Amazing accommodations!!
Server was great
Back service spotty ( no water refill etc)
Great place for Tapas. Great selection of food and I highly recommend the fried plantains with guacamole and crisp pork. As well as the octopus.
Good selection. Salmon was nicely cooked and well seasoned. Brussel sprouts were a little underdone for my taste but that's a quibble. Efficient friendly service and an easy place to hold a conversation in.
Usually a great place for lunch. Our group waited 20 minutes to order. Did not get our food until we had been their over an hour. Waiter said nothing. He was inattentive. Did not check in on us. Horrible experience.
Great lunch spot! Delicious food. Had a great experience there.
The food was excellent! The soup of the day, Watermelon Gazpacho, was amazing! Best gazpacho I've ever had, and it's even garnished with a large shrimp! If I could, I'd go back every day to get a bowl for my take-out lunch!
Food average, bartenders are not attentive, very slow.
Great service. My daughter is gluten free and they were very accommodating. Service was also quick and very attentive. We all enjoyed the tapas!
I've been here a few times, so I think this particular visit was just an off-day. Lunchtime - seated outside. We ordered our salads w/grilled chicken and after about a 1/2 hour of watching other diners get seated after us and served before us, I flagged down a waiter. We were told they had to "cook more chicken" and that was why there was a delay. I'd say it took 45 minutes for our salads to arrive. I understand that mistakes happen. We should have been told there would be a delay (not ignored) and there should have been some sort of apology. It was as though nothing happened. "Cooking more chicken" sounded like an excuse perhaps for a forgotten order or something. The salad with grilled chicken was fine, not great. Very disappointed in the service; our waiter should have checked in on us.
Awesome environment, staff was great and food very good
