Society on High
Dead place with extremely poor service!
The food was good but it took almost 45 minutes to arrive during lunch. The wait staff literally ignored us when we tried to get their attention after we had been sitting for 15 minutes without being able to order. I told the server I had to leave at 12:55 while ordering and he assured me that it would arrive on time. At 1:05 we still didn’t have our meals and no one bothered to stop by to tell us why. Again there were people standing around the whole time that were amazing at looking at everything except the person trying to get their attention. The restaurant wasn’t that busy. We crammed the food in our faces and ran out to our meetings. It will not be a repeat experience.
The swordfish kabobs I had were excellent. Unfortunately the noise level was so high we had to shout at each other at the table. We were wondering if the booths were quieter. Will ask for one next time.
It was a colder Tuesday night and there were seats at the bar. The bartenders were super friendly and made great food and drink recommendations. We tried the tuna tartare, prosciutto and arugula flatbread, and the dumplings. All come highly recommended.
Mushroom risotto with truffle oil was amazing. Service was prompt and friendly. Will definitely return!
Burgers were good. Service was slow and place was crowded and loud.
This was a good place to come for lunch for a business meal
Great place for business lunch.
Food and serve was fine
Consistent meal and good for a business lunch or drink after work.
This is close to our office and the atmosphere and food has always been very good.
We sat there waiting for 25 minutes waiting for someone to take our drink order. Unacceptable
I have now been to Society on High twice for business meals...both times enjoyed the food...excellent service and nice atmosphere. It is a place I would definitely go to for a casual lunch with friends as well.
A fun bar scene. Forgettable food - nothing wrong with it but nothing memorable - but terrific server and nice modern setting. A good bar choice near PO Square.
The menu and food have improved. We were also happy that they efficiency fed our party of 10!
Been to this spot a few times and everything just works all around. The food is creative and delicious and the service is outstanding.
Busy, loud and expensive however the food was actually better than expected. Bacon burger and poutine both really good
Fantastic evening here. When my group had a couple more people than expected, it wasn't a problem. The server was patient with us and attentive. Loved everything we had on the menu and will certainly be back.
Normally, my experience for lunch is good at Society, however, on this occasion the chicken on my Caesar salad was rubbery. When you charge $5 for a piece of chicken on top of a salad, it should be delectable. I was told that the charge would be taken off the bill, but it was not.
My meal was delicious I had swordfish. However, it took forever to be served and they messed up an order for someone who has special requirements.
Enjoyed my first-time visit. I found the food to be tasty, the service to be impeccable, the menu to offer a variety of selections, and the atmosphere to be quite enjoyable. I knew the location was a popular lunch and happy hour spot, but had never had a chance to visit. I plan to return in the near future.
Great variety plus added specials
A bit disappointed with the service. Our drinks came long after we ordered and received our meal. Also, we couldn't find our waiter for the check. The hostess had to get the check for us.
They need better front desk service. The person did not welcome us at all and was rude in the process of finding our reservation. Definitely made the start of the experience an unpleasant one.
So, I’ve ordered the same salad 7 times this summer and not once have they dressed it or brought me dressing. It’s a joke now when I go and order it. But I freakin love the darn salad!!!!
Service is good, this is more of a bar/meetup for after work. The food was a variety of things I could get at Trader Joe’s and microwave. Very disappointing.
The food is consistently good and the service recognizes that many patrons are in-between meetings - attentive, prompt, but not rushed. Terrific choice in the Financial District!
Our server Alexa was spectacular
The food was wonderful, tasty and full of fresh ingredients. This is a really nice place for a sit down lunch in Downtown Boston.
Had a great time this wednesday here. The food is amazing and the ambiance pretty good. Music is not loud enough so good for conversations. Must try: Salmon! Drinks were good as well.
We were also offered a couple of complimentary draft beers.
I'd give 4 stars for value but worth for a special occasion.Highly recommended.
Great lunch on the patio.
Just went there to have lunch, service was good, fairly prices
Servers were polite and attentive even with a very full restaurant.
Everything was fine until about 30 minutes after I left the restaurant. I don’t know if it was the calamari or salmon but it did not sit well in my stomach and ultimately made me sick. I always eat seafood and this is the first time I have had it make me sick to the point where I needed to leave work. I will not be coming back.
Awesome spot to relax and enjoy a cosmopolitan atmosphere, great small plates, super clean oysters..a great place to just chill with friends..
This was overall ok, but what was strange is with the restaurant being relatively empty the host sat out group in the one part of the restaurant where the AC was broken on a very hot and humid day. That really impacted my perception of the experience.
Super food and service
This is a terrfic gem of a restaurant in the financial district! Great food served efficiently.
Consistently great food and service. A Financial District gem
Service was way too slow, server was inattentive.
