Had a really nice time. Service was great food was even better. Soby’s is a must go
It was fantastic!
Love Sobys, food and service are always good and the ambience is nice.
Our table was at the top of the stairs and everyone passed by, the waiter was indifferent and I got very sick on the food.
As always the food and service were impeccable. We’re a tad disappointed that although we had reservations at 6 we weren’t seated til shortly after 6:30. We were anxious because we were trying to make the show. The staff however got us taken care of and was a delightful dinner!
Food was amazing. However the portions were a bit small. Not a big deal for my wife and I, but it could be a deal breaker for some. I had the braised beef short ribs, with the horseradish mashed potatoes. Couldn’t have been happier. The sauce on the short ribs was great. My wife had the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Server was quick and friendly.
very nice Saturday dinner before show at Bon Scours. Service good, salmon and chicken dinners very well prepared. Service was excellent . Have been here several times over past 7 years, always a solid choice for downtown dining.
Great like always!!
We love Soby's and recommend it to anyone as our favorite restaurant in Greenville. Food, service, and atmosphere are wonderful!
We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We will return.
Excellent food and wonderful atmosphere. Perfect for a special occasion with your significant other.
Anniversary date. Very special occasion. Started at a smaller table and asked for a more private booth and was happily accommodated. Great quiet atmosphere. Best Old Fashioned I’ve experienced! Overall a wonderful time with the love of my life.
I am in disbelief over my most recent visit to Soby's. After calling twice to confirm surprise dessert and champagne for my boyfriend and me on our anniversary date night, we were never given what I had requested and was promised by the staff during our visit. We have been regulars at Soby's for years and I thought this was the place to go to ensure a special evening. Disappointed and probably will not return. Quite sad after so many years of tradition.
Will definitely go back next time we are in Greenville.
Food was good. But for $75 (no alcohol) for two we were still hungry when we left Soby's. Consider offering a small salad with the entrees.
Service was great and so was the atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
Overall, the experience was outstanding. My boyfriend and I went to Soby's for Valentines day. We enjoyed the unique cocktails and the food tasted amazing.
Was there on Valentine's night for dinner had made a last-minute reservations got to the restaurant 10 minutes late and was still seated very promptly wait staff outstanding service was outstanding State ordered a tenderloin and I ordered salmon tenderloin was exquisite salmon on the other hand I've had better little on the bland and the dry side other than that I would highly recommend
Amazingly delicious southern food with combined with great service....we will be back for sure!
Food was excellent. Waiter George was exceptional, helpful and plan fun!
Service was great. Food very good.
Lamb chops fantastic. Shrimp and grits the best. Crab cakes good, good, good. Kansas strip steak outstanding.
Great place to dine. It never disappoints. Our server was top notch!
My go to restaurants when I entertain out of town guests. Soby's has Southern charm, great food and wonderful wait staff.
I've lived in Greenville for several years without ever finding the right opportunity to try this local classic. I've seen error of my ways after visiting for the first time, and I'll be back. Repeatedly.
Professional wait staff. Food came quickly, but not too quickly. Shrimp and grits outstanding as was fried chicken. Felt like the attitude is all about making the experience memorable. Will come back frequently.
Always excellent food! This time there was fried chicken on the breakfast buffet... perfect!
We had excellent service and wonderful food at our Soby's Sunday brunch. We will definitely be back!
I'd not been to Soby's in a few years, and thought my wife and I would return. Had reservation, but still seated 20 min late (Ok, that can happen - not a huge deal). Waitress seemed rushed and disinterested overall. Was kind of shocked by the $11 Fried Green Tomatoes having only three tiny slices of one tomato - but they were pretty good. Our entrees were a bit cold (like they'd been sitting a bit), but we decent enough. Just not exceptional. Not the $120 dinner I'd come to expect in Greenville. Loud, poor service. It's basically an Applebees with better food. Not terrible - there are just better options for the price.
This is the best O.G. restaurant in Greenville. Really hard on the wallet, but worth it.
Our waitress was fabulous, along with the food, atmosphere, and drinks
Went with friends for a girls’ weekend. We had the filet, short rib, and grouper. All three entrees were outstanding as was the service. Would definitely recommend!
A little noisy. Liked upstairs a little better than floor tables. Downstairs booth is preferred. Food was excellent.
Great Atmosphere.. friendly servers and staff.. food was excellent and presented very nicely! Keep up the great work.. you have a special restaurant..
Great food, excellent service. Consistently a great place to dine.
Really, really enjoyed dinner here! Service was excellent and the energy of the place is great with music that sets a nice vibe for a great evening. I marked down a star only because the banana cream pie we had for dessert wasn’t sweet and seemed to be more just nice wiped cream and white chocolate shavings. Soby’s is a pastry chef short of perfection!!
Wonderful as always!!! We have decided to eat here every time we come to Greenville for plays at the Peace Center.
Soby's, downtown Greenville: I have enjoyed Soby's dining on several occasions - not one negative word - just overall complimentary - DrCCJones
Great food, great time, great fun. And my favorite wine, Sancerre
The waiter was a little rushing. Did not really enjoy him. Brown hair glasses. The charcuterie board was sub par. Cheese was dry.
