Hostess was very rude and not professional, Our waiter was great and my filet was delicious!
As always, Soby's did a great job. The food and service met their high standards.
Service was a little slow, but it was late so sort of expected, some of the rice was hard in the dish I had.
Menu had an excellent variety of options. Everything we ordered was delicious. The server was observant without being overbearing. A very pleasant evening out.
We ate outside and enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food selection even though it started to rain half way through our meal. Raincoats and umbrellas help prevent the evening from being spoiled
Great service, food and atmosphere.
Sitting at a table overlooking the kitchen made for an even better time, as it was fun to watch all the meal preparation.
Carrie was outstanding!!! Knowledgeable, informative and fun!!! When we visit again, will be definitely be back and asking for Carrie!
Soby’s is one of my favorite places to eat downtown Greenville. It is always consistently great service, awesome food.
Kyle, our waiter, was great! Love the open dining area and the atmosphere.
Staff was great. Waiter asked me up front what the occasion was (first date). Did a fantastic job balancing space and keeping the drinks going. Food was excellent.
Great food, atmosphere, service!
Unfortunately sat beside wall near fireplace with constant runway traffic to upstairs seating and bathrooms.
Soby’s never disappoints. Friends visiting from out of town and we had a great time. Always top notch services and the food is fantastic. Wonderful wine selections. We ordered the Corvina fish special and the grouper. Cooked perfectly and full of flavor and finished with the banana cream pie. Great meal!
Had a wonderful experience at Soby’s for our 30th Anniversary. Service by Brion was great, food was very delicious & the atmosphere was cozy. Enjoyed every moment, would definitely recommend!
Soup, our server, was excellent as were our meals. Another great experience at Soby's
It was a very nice experience. I was entertaining out of town clients, and they were very happy with the meal and the ambience.
Outstanding food and service. A must make when in Greenville
Great business meal. Kitchen went above and beyond for a special dessert request.
We were celebrating our 51st Anniversary. We are from Maryland and we were on our way to Atlanta for a wedding. It was a beautiful night and the food was delicious. Our waiter was very attentive. I would definitely recommend this place.
Wonderful food. Fantastic service.
The crab cakes and short ribs were excellent. Will go back.
We usually have great food and service when visiting Sony's. Not tonight. My wife's pork tenderloin was over cooked and the mashed potatoes were instant. Also the meal lacked sauce. We also waited over 20 minutes to get the check on a Monday night.
Good wine, good beer, wonderful she-crab soup. Two of us had the signature shrimp and grits. Very good. We were all happy!!!
Outside not available because of rain so seated at a street window. Good location and great service. Delicious birthday dessert provided by Sobys. Meals were delicious.
Menu with a definite southern flair, very high quality ingredients very well presented. A definite go to spot
Always a five star experience at Soby’s. The food and service are flawless.
We would rate our first experience a year ago a solid 5. Great service and very hospitable staff. We sat in a booth. We had such a great time that we went back for my birthday. This second experience was a 4. Neither hostess greeted us with a hello or smile. We were first seated at a table for 2 along the wall next to the server station where we were distracted by the creaking/moving floor caused by the constant server traffic. We requested another table and were escorted to the other side of the restaurant by a hostess that barely spoke with no smile. We thought our chosen appetizer was over-priced. $6.00 for 4 very small deviled eggs that were a bit too mustardy for our taste (but had a very nice presentation). Our entrees were delicious, love the She Crab soup with Crab Cakes! Our server was exceptional and made our celebration very special. We will be back!
Overall, I was really happy of my choice for my wife’s birthday dinner. The food was awesome; my wife had the crab cakes and I had the fried chicken and both were absolutely outstanding! We had the deviled eggs for starter and I had the Caesar salad. The eggs were perfectly prepared and perfectly round.
Grant was our server and was really good. However, there is a common theme with things opening up after the shut down and that is service. Grant seemed to have a couple of large tables outside, and tables inside. There were seemingly long gaps between food arriving and check ins. We did wait a long time for our final bill and Grant gave his regrets and apologized; we tipped the full amount because he was good.
Fortunately, we were in no hurry and we’re enjoying the pleasant outdoor surroundings. All in all, my wife enjoyed it but as a diner I have set my expectations because restaurants are understaffed and burgeoning with patrons.
Another wonderful dining experience on this birthday celebration. Mike was knowledgeable about the menu and managed a polite conversation. The grouper and crab cakes were delicious. New dessert item lemon meringue pie was good topper. Our fav GVL restaurant.
We were seated and no one came to our table for 10 minutes to greet us. We watched wait staff walk past us numerous times as we continued to wait to be greeted.
Very good. Food is outstanding!! Love the outside seating, people watching and I can take my dog. Very loud on Fridays and Saturday when there’s a lot of traffic on Main Street (motorcycles and cars).
Went for the first time on Sunday night. Really nice restaurant and the food was great! Looking forward to coming back!!!!!
We were treated by friendly staff and showed our table the waitress was friendly and helpful the food was delicious as always I will be back again soon
