Soby’s New South Cuisine is an eclectic blend of contemporary continental cuisine infused with traditional Southern ingredients, transforming old favorites into something fresh and new.     Beautiful setting, delicious meals, great bartending, and awesome wait service by Donnie made our first visit not our last one. Great spacing of tables upstairs so that we could enjoy our meal with easy conversation. Thanks Soby's!!! .

    Soby’s is our special place for over 25 years! We had early reservations at 5:00 so it was quiet. We used a Table 301 gift card and the Teacher Appreciation discount! Our waiter, Soup, was attentive and the food was fresh and delicious. We’ll be back!

    I’ve dined at Soby’s many times and always very pleased with the service and food. However, tonight I invited a friend to dinner who ordered the fried chicken dish. It was unbelievably salty. So salty she could not eat it. We told our waiter and he took the meal. Later the manager told us they informed the chef and the issue was the batter. I don’t believe that because the crust wasn’t as salty as the meaty part (inside). Definitely left a bad impression. Very surprised and disappointed.☹️

    I brought three people with me who had never been to Soby's - two from Columbia and one from Wilmington. After the meal all three said they would return on their next trip! I can always depend on Soby's when I want out-of-town guests to have a good experience.

    We had a reservation for 07:00 pm and 3 of us were looking for duck confit which was on the menu however the duck confit was not any more available?? We went with others selections which were OK however I ordered a bottle of French red wine # 235 on the menu however 20 minutes later someone came back to tell us that they have 3 wine on their menu with the number 235 ?? Why ? We finally got the right wins who was delivered more than 20 minutes later ( not very efficient) . It took the visite of 3 people to get finally our bottle of wine. Not very efficient!

    I think Soby’s is the best place to eat in downtown Greenville! Food is consistently good. And the service is terrific. We sat outside and enjoyed a cool spring evening and people watching on main street while enjoying a deliciously prepared meal.

    Our first time back in a few years. We enjoyed the menu, food and service. The Valet parking was great, as downtown parking is very difficult. Derek, out server was outstanding.

    We dined at Soby’s for the first time as we celebrated our 22nd anniversary. It is lively so we will always ask for a quiet table. The food was outstanding (calamari, she crab soup and beet salad). Service was good and prompt. We highly recommend Soby’s for a special occasion.

    Mussels were excellent! They were tender and tasty, and the bread and broth were amazing. Service was great, and the noise level was perfect—energetic but you could easily talk to the people around you. This place is a gem.

    We dined at Soby’s when visiting Greenville over a decade ago, and returned today. It has only improved with age. Delightful menu options—difficult decisions. Turns out you really cannot go wrong—you must simply return again to try the others. Appetizers, cocktails and entrées were exceptional, with special shout-outs to the fried calamari, she crab soup, shrimp ‘n’ grits, and the Midnight Train to Georgia.

    This is definitely a place I will return for dinner! I didn’t quite understand why the she crab soup was sweet. Couldn’t really taste the crab. Never had it like that before (born in Pacific Northwest and now live in Mid Atlantic). ⭐️However, every item on my plate was simply phenomenal. We dined on swordfish and red snapper! The staff were simply superb! The couscous was delicious. ⭐️I love how the large wooden doors are on the side. Very easy to miss though there are huge glass windows in place of a wall on the street side of the restaurant. This is cool how you can look in and see people enjoying the amazing music and crazy delicious food!

    As new residents of Greenville, we thoroughly enjoyed our brunch experience at Soby's! Erich provided amazing service and Mal even stopped by to share the history of the building - it was a cotton gin back in the day! We are hoping to be seated at Table 301 for next Soby's experience!     Excellent food. Beautiful place and the team greeting customers was exceptional. Waiter forgot to submit our order causing extreme delays. Additional simple tasks like requesting a refill of a soft drink I did recommend based on this being a poor server. Did and staff very good

    Never disappoints, always consistent. Crab cakes are delicious with the Tyger salad. Biscuits are to die for. And don’t forget white chocolate banana creme pie.
