Everything was great!
Wonderful food and very friendly staff. I would recommend the shrimp and grits and the she crab soup.
The last time we came to Soby’s was our first date. This time we were celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary . Since we live and work in Anderson it is difficult to get out as often as we would like. Soup was our waiter and he was friendly, efficient and awesome! Thank you for another amazing experience. We will be back sooner next time.
We asked for our food (a significant amount) to be boxed and the waiter forgot and threw it all away
Visited with another couple on a Saturday night. Arrived early, so had a drink at the bar. Crowded, but fun. We were seated at the time of the reso. Started with a round of cocktails and wine, then apps and then dinner. Everyone could find things that appealed to them, so a winner of an evening!
Great place and great food as always. The food and service are always good and they even continued the restaurant week specials through this weekend.
Birthday celebration and made dessert extra special!!!
Service was very fast and food was very good. We aren't used to going to more expensive restaurants so my opinion is biased but I do think this is a very nice place for a date night or special occasion!
Was close to our Hotel. Went based on menu and reviews. Was excellent! Food service and drinks. We love southern food and this was gourmet version of that. Flounder, fried chicken, crab cakes- all done to perfection
Soby’s is the best and we LOVE everything about it especially when we get our favorite table!!! ♥️
Best shrimp and grits meal ever!!! Service and everything was top notch. I would make it my top food recommendation to anyone from out of town and first timers to Greenville
Wonderful! We’ll be back.
I love this place and every time I am in Greenville I make sure I eat there. The food is great and the service just adds much. It’s in a perfect location.
We came to Soby’s as a 60th birthday celebration for my dad. We were seated upstairs at a round table which was perfect. We had plenty of room and didn’t feel crowded. The buffet was perfect as always and each of the guests at our table were pleased with the food. I was thankful for the quality service we received from the moment I made the reservation to the moment we stepped outside those doors. We all decided we’ll be back for dinner sometime. Amazing time! Thank you!
We were very pleased that the upstairs (where we were seated) buffet tables were replenished up until 1:30. we were concerned the food might run out, but it did not. Thank you for keeping the offerings plentiful and fresh until the end! Food was very, very good! Loved the shrimp and grits and pork tenderloin, and all the other goodies too. And we appreciated the generous mimosas. Overall, a great outing. It was a tad noisy, but we survived! Will be back again in a couple of weeks for dinner with friends.
My only complaint is that when we made reservations and was asked if it was a special occasion we said it was our daughter s birthday. Why ask if nothing is done to acknowledge the occasion.
Fantastic service. Was seated early and had a great experience. Earlier in our trip we had tried another (what appeared to be) a nice italian spot down down the road. Won't name names, but you'd be better off to avoid. I would recommend sobys. The staff and manager make it their goal for the customer to enjoy their food and time at the restaurant.
Outstanding Dinner! We enjoyed an all adult dinner last Saturday night. The food was outstanding as expected and Zeb our server was excellent. My filet unfortunately was a tad overcooked but other than that everything was just as expected. We would highly recommend this restaurant for families, visitors to Greenville, or for just a evening out!
Celebrating husband’s 75th birthday, a true milestone, and enjoyed a delightful dinner with family. Soby’s energy, overall, is amazing, which facilitated a memorable evening. Bravo!
We highly enjoyed dining at Soby’s! Everything about our evening was enjoyable and we will be back again for sure!
Great restaurant week special the is always great along with great service from the waitress/waiters
Awesome atmosphere, excellent food and service from staff. Special thanks to chef Shaun for making this date night one to remember.
Excellent, attentive, and couteous service, all the way from being greeted for seating, checking on beverages before the meal, and throughout the dining experience. Zeb was the server. Wonderful service!
The service was impeccable and the food as always was perfectly prepared and excellent!!
Superb food in a great atmosphere along with great service.
Can't ask for much more.
Not many vegetarian options. Please expand offerings.
From the moment we were greeted to our departure everything was very good. We were there for Restaurant week for our first visit. We had and thoroughly enjoyed the following: stuffed fried green tomatoes; she crab soup; artichoke spinach dip; braised short-rib; Gullah shrimp and grits; banana pudding; chocolate raspberry dome; old-fashion and blood orange margarita. Server Lynette was great as well.
Kali. our server was outstanding. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. The artichoke dip appetizer was very salty. Braised ribs for entree was outstanding, as was the banana pudding.
Thoroughly enjoyed Sunday Brunch at Soby’s.
Everything we ate was above expectations ! Reasonably priced for excellent food!
Food was very good and the wine list was extensive. We had a cocktail in the bar while we waited for our table, great martini! It is very busy and a little loud but it is a "happening" loud! My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves.
Great food and service. Tiny bit pricy but worth it.
Great find. Exceptional dinning experience - food, service, atmosphere great.
Great food and service.. will definitely be back in the future!
This is a great restaurant. Awesome food and service. Atmosphere is special!
I eat at Soby’s regularly, but it was especially Good Friday !!!!!
We enjoyed everything about our meal
Nice choices during restaurant week in Greenville. This place is consistently good. All four in our party were very happy!
All was fine but not spectacular. When we arrived for our reservation and were escorted upstairs as the first guests, we wondered what we had done wrong to be isolated. An explanation as to seating might have been appropriate. Our server, Katlyn was lovely and attentive. Food was good. We ordered decaf cappuccino after dinner and I wonder if that is what we really got as I was awake until 3:00 am.
We were on time for an early reservation. Only a few other patrons in the restaurant. Lots of open tables. First seated at the table up front near the hostess stand and next to the server station and beverage stations; requested another table and then led upstairs to a table overlooking the uncovered trash can in the kitchen, very appetizing. Requested a third time and moved to a table over the fry station with the he wafting smell of oil. On top of this a large corporate party was expected any minute in the open adjacent area. So, we tried a fourth time back downstairs to one of the 6 open two tops we walked by to get upstairs.
It was the first day of restaurant week, and a special 3 course prix fixe menu was offered. We chose the flounder with duck, andouille, and white bean cassoulet, Caesar salad. and desserts. Salads arrived quickly, barely dressed, almost dry. The entree next, gave doubt to the appearance of flounder filet, as it was two narrow, thin strips of pan fried fish crossed over the cassoulet. Both the fish and the cassoulet were lackluster in flavor, no kick of flavor from the andouille, and just a rare bite of duck, with a sweet tomato broth. Struggling through the entrees we made it to dessert. The desserts were great, a banana pudding, and an espresso semifreddo, both tasty and delicious. Finally I have to admit our server was good, not overly attentive, but not dismissive.
I’ve been told this restaurant has a great reputation for food by locals. However I was not impressed with my first visit. Since we go to Greenville frequently, I will give it another chance in the very distant future, once the memory has fuzzed a bit.
