It was our anniversary and the food was just okay. I think that we eat there too much! Service was great.
Food was excellent, Ray ‘s service was great!
I redeemed 10k points and followed the instructions. Soby’s restaurant was listed to be worth 50.00 . The restaurant manager said they do not honor the open table master card reward card. The certificate clearly said to key in as a MasterCard. I could not understand why open table would make the reservation, Soby’s checked in the reservation and did not honor the open table reward. It was a great disappointment and an embarrassment.
Additionally , I paid with my personal Master card. Verifying that the restaurant accepts Master cards. Not only did they not honor the master card certificate No points were given for the reservation as in the past. Extremely disappointed in being mislead .
The food and service were excellent. It is a little pricey but worth it if you are in Greenville.
Always one of my favorite places to eat in downtown Greenville.
Taste of entrees was very good, service was excellent, ambiance was good. Portion sizes were on the smaller side and offering a salad as part of the main entrees would have made a great positive difference.
Our waiter Anthony was outstanding and his recommendations were spot on. It was our first and now not our last time to visit this restaurant.
We were glad to read about Soby's AND have it recommended to us by two different people we met along the way. Food was very good and our waiter made good recommendations.
We had a great dinner on the patio, amidst Greenville’s bustling Saturday evening revelers. My son had the filet and i had the salmon. Both were delicious. We also loved our server, who had had a lively wit and was super helpful.
Our waitress, Kerri, was great! I have a gluten sensitivity and she was well aware of the ingredients in each dish. Kerri knew approximately the amount of gluten in some dishes as well. The crab cakes have a small percentage of gluten, and that was something that I was able to eat. Love the service, love the food and wine. And we appreciated Kerri’s knowledge regarding wines. My mother in law had a wonderful 93rd Birthday Celebration at Soby’s.
Everything was great from the food and drink to the service provided. I had family visiting Greenville for the first time, and Soby’s was the perfect choice to show them the wonderful hospitality that this town has to offer. We also had a rambunctious 4 year old with us for dinner, but the staff was very helpful and accommodating and made everyone feel at home. Thanks for a great night out.
Outstanding as always
We’ve chosen Soby’s a couple times for our anniversary and they always exceed our expectations. The flowers I ordered for our anniversary didn’t arrive so the manager went and bought some for us! Julie did an excellent job taking care of us and making our night even better. Can’t say enough about this place! Oh, almost forgot the food is amazing too!
Soby’s is always reliable for great food and service.
We were on our way to Atlanta for a wedding and stopped in Greenville overnight. Got a reservation at Soby's thru Open Table. It's the best restaurant in Greenville We were greeted by the owner, sat at a nice booth, served very nice cocktails and Ashley helped us order from a wonderful menu of Southern food. It was our 54th anniversary. My wife enjoyed the lamb chops and I loved the fresh grouper. We should have a restaurant like this in North Raleigh.
So many choices for this Brunch Buffet. Breakfast items, waffles, salads, bbq ribs, chicken, Gouda Mac and cheese, New Orleans shrimp and grits, omelette station, carving station, desserts, desserts and desserts! Great value for the price!!
We had a good dinner and service was fast - Natalie our server seemed like she didn't want to be there and was not very friendly and enthusiastic. It was reflected in her tip - seemed like a bother even though we had no complaints or special requests.
She should really work on her attitude to be more cheerful and friendly as that could spoil an otherwise nice dinner - our bill was well over $100.00 and we expected a better experience than what was provided.
It all started with her not introducing herself and welcoming us to Soby's - I would not have her as our server again.
Incredible food and service (Sarai was great). We were celebrating two birthdays and couldn’t have picked a better restaurant. Can’t wait to go back!
Revisiting old haunt.
While in town on a weekend getaway from Charleston, we were looking for a great Sunday Brunch to enjoy with our son and his girlfriend (who is gluten free due to health restrictions). The restaurant is amazing. Very cool vibe and friendly staff. But what was more impressive than the building and the food was our server's knowledge of the menu and what would work for our son's girlfriend. The server asked up front to what extent she is gluten free and even asked if she had Coeliac. That helped her provide recommendations and also cautions. After listing all of the GF options, she even said, "Please be sure to avoid the vegetable & egg bake because it has croissants baked into it, which you wouldn't expect." The brunch buffet had so many choices that were GF, but our server even went above and beyond suggesting that if there was something she saw that she wanted to try that was not 100% GF, she was willing to ask the chef if he could make an acceptable substitute. I wish I could remember our server's name, but I'm horrible with that. She is definitely an asset to Soby's and we couldn't have been more pleased.
Went for Sunday brunch, the food was good overall, the grits , egg soufflé and the ribs were very good the Chicken dish was OK the vegetables were very over done. I did not try the salads except for the watermelon cucumber salad which was not good at all. It was a very hot day and I know with the high ceilings it was hard to keep it cool in there but it was very warm, the ceiling fans were on Low, not sure why. The dessert table was pretty good, the fresh strawberries with melted chocolate or the best item on there, our server was very good and we had a booth right next to the food
Good brunch with family. Good variety and quality food and service.
Food came way too fast. We were not finished with our salads before entrees came.
The food was absolutely outstanding and we could not stop talking about the entire experience all weekend!
Annabelle was a perfect waitress. Sat up front in the lounge for a more quiet dinner. Food was great but not hot enough.
Food was outstanding! We had the Filet Mignon and the shrimp and grits. Our waiter was very attentive. It was a little noisy where we were sitting. If you’re looking for a more quiet setting, try getting a booth.
Went for spouse’s birthday. Server was excellent; very helpful but not in the way or trying to upsell. Food was amazing. Best crab cakes I’ve had and my husband ‘s grouper with crawfish etouffe was delicious. Extensive wine list.
Great service, amazing food.
Excellent server spent time sharing history of Table 301 and how the company is growing. Great to support a company that people enjoy working for and are proud to be apart of. Food was very good-had filet and crab cakes which are consistently good. We were upstairs with several large groups so niise level was a bit higher than usual.
As always, it was a pleasure to dine at
Soby’s . The wait staff is always superb and the meal won’t disappoint . We brought out of town guests and one of them was not staisfied with their meal. They did not hesitate to replace it with something else to please them.
Quality food for the price!
the waiter was excellent, attentive but not botherrsome, knew his products perfectly, charming, recommended some unknown (to me) wines as unique alternatives. Not inexpensive ($200 for 3 with tip, bottle of wine, two desserts), very classy, cool.
It is odd to write a review to a restaurant that has been around 20 years. In fact I had not eaten here in some time. However I must admit they have not rested on their laurels and the food and service were top notch. The menu was fresh with a lot of new items but also some of the signature dishes they are know for.
Great place to get great food with a local and southern twist. impeccable service and great beer and wine selection.
I will not wait as long to go back.
Great food great service
Sunday brunch is excellent! Need a 2nd omelet station to reduce the wait
First time at Sobys. Everything was going great for our 8pm reservation. We had to wait about 15-20 minutes for a table because we made a last minute request for an outdoor seating due to the weather being so nice - no big deal. We got a couple of drinks at the bar which were great. Out waiter was knowledgeable of the menu and was very friendly. That said, we were not allowed to share the special due to it being “such a good deal,” so we ended up ordering much more food than we needed (we had an entire crab cake left over we didn’t touch). This is when things started going downhill. The ambience and occasion made up for it, but it took approximately 2.5 hours to be served our 3 course meal. There was about 45 minutes we never saw our waiter - at all. A table next to us got up and left soon after their food was served. Apparently they were displeased with the wait as well. No explanation from the waiter - no manager came to visit. I wish I could blame it on the busyness, but our waiter was only waiting on two tables at the time. Very unfortunate for our first date after having a baby a few weeks ago. I’ll give Sobys another chance, but wouldn’t mind an apology for the poor service.
We had two tables of friends in town for a convention. One gentleman said it was the best meal he'd had! I think that about sums up our opinions on Soby's!
Food and drink were delicious. Service excellent. Well located in the middle of downtown Greenville and has indoor and outdoor seating areas. Beautiful decorations inside, and a tree lined courtyard for outside dining. This is a must visit restaurant for me in Greenville.
Outdoor dining experience was great. The downtown scene in Greenville is dynamic. As Soby's outdoor dining is a distance from the road, you can watch and enjoy in a quieter area - great for conversation. Food and service are always outstanding.
Great place for a nice meal. On the pricier side but worth it for a special occasion. From drinks to dinner to desserts and everything in between, the options are handcrafted and delicious. Service is excellent as well.
The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. My wife has a food allergy and they went over the top to accommodate by customizing the menu. Our waiter Brioni was incredible. We will definitely return to Soby's (even though it is 200 miles from home).
