Beautiful restaurant right across the street from the Peace Center. Excellent food and service in a charming atmosphere. Great little, sophisticated town with many restaurants and shops. Will visit again! The Peace Center is a modern theatre with great acoustics and not a bad seat in the house. Highly recommended.
The pecan pie was THE ABSOLUTE best part of my meal.
We enjoyed a wonderful meal with our niece who was in town for a business trip. Brian took very good care of us.
All oue meals were excellent and our server, Michelle was outstanding. Hard to pkease my mom, but she loved the she-crab soup and the crabcakes. I had never had potato-crusted grouper, but it was cooked perfectly and it was a good-sized portion with a slightly crisp topping.
First visit to downtown Greenville. Soby’s is excellent. All aspects of restaurant are top-notch. Wife and I had a terrific Russian River Pinot Noir picked from a unique and broad wine inventory. Delicious salad and perfectly prepared salmon for dinner, and a ridiculous desert. Can’t wait to go back !
Excellent grouper etoufe and salmon. Great service from Mekenzie.
Excellent dinner and service from Julie. I couldn't decide between the crab cake and shrimp & grits, so she gave me a half portion of both! Both were excellent. Husband enjoyed the filet mignon.
Had a really nice time. Service was great food was even better. Soby’s is a must go
It was fantastic!
Upscale southern bistro in the heart of Greenville.
The entire meal was very average. Service was slightly above average, but we had to wait far too long for any drinks from the bar. The appetizer was disappointing. The main course was good, but nothing spectacular. We expect more from Soby's. I have already cautioned several co-workers who asked me about my experience.
Loved the environment. Excellent food and service.
Love Sobys, food and service are always good and the ambience is nice.
Over priced buffet food for Sunday Brunch. I was not impressed. The omelettes were cooked too hard. The salmon had no flavor and the shrimp and grits were too watery. I will not go back.
Our table was at the top of the stairs and everyone passed by, the waiter was indifferent and I got very sick on the food.
Waited over 30 minutes to be seated for a RESERVATION, was charged for a chicken entree we did not order, and then double charged the bill and the end of the night and had to call the restaurant and be refunded. For the price you'd expect a little better...
Soby's is one of my favorite restaurants. The decor is really neat, and the food/service is unmatched.
Always very good food but be prepared to shell out some $. Not inexpensive.
We had reservations at 6. We didn’t get seated until 6:30. The food was ok but not worth the prices. We had been told the food was excellent and we were very disappointed.
As always the food and service were impeccable. We’re a tad disappointed that although we had reservations at 6 we weren’t seated til shortly after 6:30. We were anxious because we were trying to make the show. The staff however got us taken care of and was a delightful dinner!
Food was amazing. However the portions were a bit small. Not a big deal for my wife and I, but it could be a deal breaker for some. I had the braised beef short ribs, with the horseradish mashed potatoes. Couldn’t have been happier. The sauce on the short ribs was great. My wife had the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Server was quick and friendly.
very nice Saturday dinner before show at Bon Scours. Service good, salmon and chicken dinners very well prepared. Service was excellent . Have been here several times over past 7 years, always a solid choice for downtown dining.
Great like always!!
As always this restaurant amazes me! It is always consistent and the owner all-in to see things through. This is the classic place to go for anything or anybody important in your life!

We love Soby's and recommend it to anyone as our favorite restaurant in Greenville. Food, service, and atmosphere are wonderful!
We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We will return.
Excellent food and wonderful atmosphere. Perfect for a special occasion with your significant other.
Anniversary date. Very special occasion. Started at a smaller table and asked for a more private booth and was happily accommodated. Great quiet atmosphere. Best Old Fashioned I’ve experienced! Overall a wonderful time with the love of my life.
I am in disbelief over my most recent visit to Soby's. After calling twice to confirm surprise dessert and champagne for my boyfriend and me on our anniversary date night, we were never given what I had requested and was promised by the staff during our visit. We have been regulars at Soby's for years and I thought this was the place to go to ensure a special evening. Disappointed and probably will not return. Quite sad after so many years of tradition.
Will definitely go back next time we are in Greenville.
Food was good. But for $75 (no alcohol) for two we were still hungry when we left Soby's. Consider offering a small salad with the entrees.
Service was great and so was the atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
Overall, the experience was outstanding. My boyfriend and I went to Soby's for Valentines day. We enjoyed the unique cocktails and the food tasted amazing.
Was there on Valentine's night for dinner had made a last-minute reservations got to the restaurant 10 minutes late and was still seated very promptly wait staff outstanding service was outstanding State ordered a tenderloin and I ordered salmon tenderloin was exquisite salmon on the other hand I've had better little on the bland and the dry side other than that I would highly recommend
Amazingly delicious southern food with combined with great service....we will be back for sure!
Food was excellent. Waiter George was exceptional, helpful and plan fun!
Service was great. Food very good.
Lamb chops fantastic. Shrimp and grits the best. Crab cakes good, good, good. Kansas strip steak outstanding.
Great place to dine. It never disappoints. Our server was top notch!
My go to restaurants when I entertain out of town guests. Soby's has Southern charm, great food and wonderful wait staff.
