Great place for a nice Sunday brunch, with very affordable menu options and quality food, that was accompanied by great service from the staff.
Great spot! Sat at the bar for a first date. Highly recommend. Handsome bartender was very nice and efficient.
A great friendly place with tasty food. The desserts are fantastic!
I live down the street from SoBo Cafe and have dined here fairly frequently over the last two years. I like the creative menu here - there are seasonal dishes along with staples that never change. The house salad, spinach pie, french onion soup and flatbreads are some of my favorites. Good variety of wine to choose from. Service is warm and friendly. Atmosphere is cozy. Such a nice change from the frat house bars in Fed Hill. It's one of the best restaurants i the neighborhood. Only thing to note is that SoBo does not have a full liquor license (i.e. no martinis or other cocktails).
The food was absolutely amazing and the restaurant was extremely quaint. The service was not the best. We went on Valentine's Day so our server was clearly busy with many tables, but she did a great job with our orders. Definitely going back.
We enjoyed the wide variety of small plate options and the delicious array of vegetarian choices. Cooking was tasty and ingredients were very fresh.
We went here for Sunday brunch and had a great time. We got a homemade cinnamon roll to share between two people and I would seriously it to anyone visiting! It was amazing, as was the coffee and the rest of our food. They brought out homemade blueberry pound cake to start the meal too - everything was fantastic. The portions were so large that we will get at least one more meal out of it, so the price we paid for the quantity/quality of the food would be hard to beat!
This was our second time at SoBo Cafe. Food was excellent as before. I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie. Again. Out of this world. Intimate ambiance. Staff is warm, friendly, knowledgeable. Love this place. It's the kind of place where the owner comes to your table and asks if everything is to your liking. Not too pricey. Not stuffy. You should try this restaurant. Both times my wife and I were impressed with everything.
One of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood - live in walking distance. Good vibe, good food, reasonable prices. Wish there were more vegetarian options. Love that the restaurant displays art for local artists and occasionally has music.
Really good food but service was terrible. Not surprising since there was one waitress to accommodate the entire restaurant. It took her almost 45 minutes to take our order for our main entree after we had finished our salads and another hour to give us our Check. I probably will go back but if the service is that bad again I wouldn’t return because I simply can’t wait two hours to get dinner.
This was our first visit to Sobo, having read the good reviews and looked at the menu. When we first walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly hostess, who made us feel very welcome despite arriving 10 minutes late (traffic). Once at our table, we were greeted with smiles and answers to our questions about the beers and menu items. During the meal, while our servers were attentive, they were never cloying and let us enjoy our meal. The hostess also came by and asked if everything was OK and if we needed anything. We noticed that there were a number of families with young children - a very nice mix of clientele. All in all, it was a very positive experience and we will return soon, I'm sure.
Once I discovered SoBo Cafe I have returned twice in a week and still cannot wait to return.
Sobo is my favorite restaurants in Baltimore. ALWAYS delicious . Great menu. Great service. Great dining space.
Able to get a table 15 minutes before our reservation. Service was kind of slow and they neglected to bring one item we ordered. We had to request it again. I was only asked if I wanted a coffee refill once although the servers came by at least 4 times. My companion was not asked at all if she wanted another drink when her glass was empty. The food was worth the service issues though.
The food was good but the service was lacking. She didn't take our order for a while, never asked if we wanted more drinks, never checked in to see if everything was okay. Ambiance is nothing special. They have potential because the food is tasty for the most part but won't be going back anytime soon.
This was a great find in Federal Hill. Stopped in here with my husband and daughter after visiting the Science Center and had a late brunch - based on great reviews on Open Table. The place was so charming. Service was perfect and the brunch was fantastic. Prices were extremely reasonable. French Onion had a kick which is a rare treat. Cinnamon rolls were delicious. The big breakfast could easily be shared by two adults. Wished we lived closer. Highly recommend.
We went with a group to try out restaurant week. Really good wine selection and mac n cheese. :)
Food was delicious with several layers of flavors and textures that blended very well. Best meal I've had in Baltimore in years. Service was friendly and efficient. Will definitely return.
Great experience , good beer list but not overwhelming, anyone can find something they will enjoy
Sobo has the best French dip ever!!!!! It was great to see such a large crowd for Sunday brunch
