Great food! Fun time had by all
It was amazing! Great service and food!
Our group of four were happy to return to Sobo to find that it still offers a lovely dining experience. It's small, quaint, warm and welcoming. Our server was delightful, the appetizers tasty and most of the entrees were quite delicious. The only exception was the Korean Chicken Fried Steak - dry, overcooked steak with a disappointing sauce. It was just not up to par with the other entrees - Bavette Steak, Chicken Pot Pie and Salmon with mediterranean lentil pilaf and string beans.
That one glitch will not stop us from returning....we totally enjoyed our evening!
The food is amazing!
This is one of our favorite places for brunch in Baltimore. They are very attentive to celiac needs, bringing the dishes separately from the other glutened plates. The Eggs Benedict were perfect. I didn’t miss the English muffin at all because the GF bread was so good! The home fries are separately cooked in a pan for GF people. We also got a side of bacon that might be the best bacon I’ve ever had. Thanks SOBO!
Excellent brunch! We are from out of town & we felt such a kind, warm welcome. Loved the vibe and the food. It was memorable!
Attentive service and innovative food. Always good and reliable. Great value, too.
Their food is excellent and the Music that evening Roses and Rust, was superb!
Service was very slow. The server apologized for forgetting about us. Food was fine, very good actually. We’ve gone once a year for the past four years. Not sure we’ll go next year when we’re there. At least there wasn’t live music. It’s so loud then.
Say at the. At. Great service, food as always was excellent. The biosecurity really ARE the BEST in Baltimore and that’s saying something. Terrific wine list. A local place but with a high level ambiance
Wonderful! Amazing vegan options!
Great experience! Food (chicken pot pie was excellent) and service outstanding!
My wife and I have found a new favorite restaurant! It was just what we wanted and like in a restaurant - great, friendly greeting and service, fantastic food, great physical layout and not real noisy. It's small so it should never get too wild. It was also a pleasant surprise that SoBo Cafe is owned by the same people who has one of our favorite vendor stalls in Cross Street Market. Especially since it's "in the neighborhood", this will be our new "go to" restaurant when friends and family visit us in Baltimore.
My second time there in a month, my friend’s first. Food was EXCELLENT! I ordered off the Paleo/Keto menu but it’s similar to the regular entre menu, only the sides are so much better I think! Got the HUGE salmon fillet (7 oz) perfectly cooked! So yum. Had the roasted Brussels sprouts and sweet potato wedges. Seriously, one of the best meals out I’ve had in ages. Friend got the carrot ginger soup (I had that last time), which is on the spicy (no sweet) side and loved it. She also had the garden salad and salmon fillet on the side—same 7 oz portion! The salad with topped with so much thick crispy bacon—-we were in heaven.
One of those restaurants in a previous row house, very cute, ample space between tables. Nice bar, too, and happy hour. Street parking but not difficult either time I’ve been. Highly recommend it!
Ok, but waitress said she “hit the wrong button” so 4th member of our party got her meal well after the rest of us. In those cases, perhaps the meal should be comped or discounted. I didn’t request that, but the customer shouldn’t have to. The wait staff should know to make that call.
We love SoBo. Great food, service and ambiance. It’s our go to restaurant in the neighborhood!
We go to SoBos for happy hour often and really enjoy the food, drink and value. This was our first time there for brunch and the breakfast food was delicious. Especially the homemade cinnamon rolls🙂
The food and ambiance was excellent. Decent menu choices, although more vegetarian and possibly vegan options is needed. Service was friendly but spotty - slow return times and had to flag the serve down a couple of times. Definitely will return!
Delicious meal - great service!
From the moment we walked in, the staff was very accommodating to our party of three adults and a toddler. The staff was wonderful to our little guy -- they immediately offered a highchair, fussed over him, gave him crayons and paper, drew a welcome picture, and went out of their way to make him feel special. The food, as always, was excellent. Only disappointment was that French toast is no longer on the menu! SoBo Cafe has rapidly become one of our favorite restaurants, and we're looking forward to returning soon.
A wonderful time, as always! The menu changes enough seasonally to keep things interesting, while maintaining some old favorites. The service is the warmest and truly makes each experience special.
As always, it was a perfect dining experience. .
Servers were very friendly. We arrived late but they were very accommodating.
Came in for a first date and it could not have been better. There was an incredibly fun acoustic band playing, the food was incredible, the wine was delicious. Needless to say - my date and I had a great time. Hopefully we'll be back again soon.
The food was delicious and it has a great energetic feeling in the restaurant. The staff was friendly and I look forward to returning and trying some other items on the menu.
We tried the restaurant week menu. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The only thing that was really good was the spinach pie. I ordered the SoBo burger which came with a decent salad. But the fingerling potatoes were not seasoned enough. As a matter of fact, nothing was seasoned enough. My daughter, who loves Mac ‘n’ Cheese everywhere, didn’t like this one either. The hot chocolate was the worst I’ve ever tasted. The apple pie was a disaster in appearance and doughy in taste. Needless to say, we will not be going back.
Outstanding food and service. The appetizer was scant but good. We had the burgers which were excellent. The apple dessert was great. The chocolate pudding not so much. No real flavor. Overall great experience.
Fun and funky neighborhood gem. Very good food overall, but room for improvement. To be fair, I went during Restaurant Week, and ordered from the course menu, which is not always as great as the normal menu.
Bar was a little loud due to the Raven’s game, but otherwise a great meal as always!
great food and nice selection of craft brews. Our go-to before ravens games without the crowds
Dined early at SOBO with another couple before attending the Illusions Bar Magic show (which was surprisingly great!). Food was pretty good, but not outstanding. The ginger/carrot soup was extremely spicy hot (and we like hot). Scallops were really good but the butternut squash base was tepid, a real bummer. Husband said the chicken pot pie was very tasty (but he had really bad heartburn that night—the pastry crust). Burger was huge and really good, lots of bacon per our friend. Waiter was efficient, not particularly friendly. Good experience overall.
Truly enjoyed New Year’s Brunch at SoBo — service was polite and attentive, the crowd was lively and enjoying themselves, and the food was (as always) outstanding. Highly recommended! P.S. You have to try their chicken pot pie — it is the best I have ever had!
Really good brunch menu. Pleasant service. Can’t ask for more.
I always have a good dining experience at SoBo. The staff is always polite and courteous. They also know the regular patrons by name, which is a nice touch
Great time! Food was delicious as always :)
Loved this place. My girlfriend and I were impressed with the quality of the food and wine. Our server was very responsive and helpful.
So Bo is our home away from home. Wonderful food. Delightful staff. Comfort environment. And, I must mention the muscles. Yummy!
This is her usual routine before a ravens home game. Great food. Very convenient to the stadium.
A variety of interesting and delicious fare, friendly neighborhood vibe, enjoyed our lunch!
Cozy place. Live band on Tuesday. Great food. Street parking close to downtown Baltimore.
