Soba never disappoints. The black cod is extraordinary.
Staff were super friendly. Food wasn’t that great. Pad Thai was really good but wish it was spicier. The fried tofu was good but not enough spice and wish it was spicier.
I brought my girlfriend here for her birthday. Our server, i believe his name was Joe, was excellent with service and recommending items on the menu. We got some great beer and wine during happy hour before and during our meal. We got the Chilean sea bass, rock shrimp tempura, and ribs. I was blown away by the quality and taste of the food. It came out in a very timely manner. I plan on becoming a reoccurring customer because it was fantastic!
Delicious food and excellent service!
We enjoyed this restaurant so much! Everyone so welcome and our server Missy was the best!! Food was delicious. We can’t wait to Go back
There were some pricy items, but I felt like you get a lot of food for the price! The shrimp tempura was amazing! Great drinks too!
Tasty cocktails and good portion sizes for the food. Our espressos came out room temp, which is the only negative from the night. A great spot to check out!
I absolutely loved Soba! Everything we had from the menu was to "die for". I especially loved the Chilean sea bass satay, and I could go on and on about everything else we tried (it is very easy to share plates here). We were very full but couldn't resist the dessert, and we did not regret that! The pretzel stack was amazing--chocolate and caramel lovers, you will be in heaven!
Our service was wonderful. Suggestions for dessert cheesecake was right on spot.
Manager Jeff came over to greet us and I was impressed that he remembered us from
a previous visit when I enjoyed the chef's sample dinner and 4 course selection
Definately felt special and will come back again and again
It was great. Food was excellent. Staff was nice!
Sadly disappointed in the experience. The dining room decor feels old and not pleasant - bar area looks nice. Had the Chinese new year menu which was a good deal but food was very disappointing, as were the other dishes we ordered. Won't be going back anytime soon. :(
A lot of Thai food. The banana split was amazing. I wouldn’t recommend the tea leaf salad, but the Pad Thai noodles & calamari (small plate) were both quite tasty.
When we there to have their Chinese New Year menu and it did not disappoint
Just a great place to have dinner and drinks
Outstanding from start to finish! We took our kids and spouses for a family gathering for evening out. Everything was on point.
Food was amazing. Just made reservations for 8 and didn’t get seated till 8:45 and then they forgot our order after a hr of waiting
The bartender was our server so tasting menu was not presented like it usually is. Food was very good though.
We spent Valentine's Day At Soba. We had previously spent New Year's Eve there, and had delicious food. We were in the mood for pad thai. It was a little too saucy for our liking. However, we had a great night, and we will return to the restaurant. The Maki Roll for dessert was very delicious.
Went for my son’s Valentines Day Birthday. Food was not as good as usual. Maybe because it was very busy. The service was great.
The food was outstanding and the cocktails were creative and delicious. The wine pairing was spot on, as well! The only slightly disappointing part was the profiteroles for dessert. The lemon curd was great but the profiteroles themselves we're definitely subpar.
Missy did a great job as our server. Food was outstanding.
Our entire evening was wonderful. Missy was awesome and really led us through a delightful meal!
Four of us went to SOBA to celebrate my son's birthday. We got an excellent table by the fireplace. Server was over the top polite and attentive. Didn't make us feel rushed. Food was excellent. We all got noodle selections. I recommend the Pad Thai.
The meal at Soba was for my birthday, and it was wonderful! Soba gave me a nice secluded table where my husband and I could quietly talk and enjoy the cascading water fountain across from us. We had the lobster taco and the bahn mi bao bun for appetizers, and they were phenomenal. We also enjoyed some beer and a cocktail, the Honey Bee, which was fantastic.
Our dinners were the duck ramen and filet bulgogi and they were fantastic! The ramen was the best ramen I've ever had, with a perfectly poached egg, lovely seared duck, ginger, bean sprouts, and a delicious cabbage. The bulgogi was delightfully spicy and a delicious dish overall, with tangy pickled mushrooms. The service, also, was excellent!
It was a beautiful meal and I enjoy every moment I spend at Soba!
Food was delicious- salmon was prepared perfectly. The calamari small plate was a generous amount for both of us. We had a table on the second level and it was perfect! The noise level was just right -we could talk without having to yell across the table. We will definitely be back!
Consistently good. Always old standby dishes with interesting seasonal changes. Never gets old.
Fabulous food, excellent service and a wonderful experience. As always!
The food here is just amazing. Creative, delicious, great portions, worth the money!
Food was amazing and service was excellent. The Chilean sea bass satays I could eat several plate fulls!!
Unique fine dining experience with Impressive portions! We ordered bahn-mi bao for appetizer, bulgogi bi bim bap and duck ramen as entrees, everything was very fresh, flavorful and authentic. Cocktails were excellent too, and our waiter was really attentive. Can’t wait to go back!
Very nice restaurant. The Hangar steak was especially good. Nice atmosphere and complimentary valet parking is a nice touch on a cold winter day.
Amazing food, great service, and overall an outstanding place to eat. The environment is nice and the service is great as well. You will not be disappointed and you will want to go back again!
I have been regular at SOBA for several years now. It consistently delivers delicious and creative flavors paired with fantastic cocktails. Personal favorites are: tuna tartare appetizer and Miso black cod entree paired up with Bangkok Iced Tea. The bar scene (especially Friday night or weekend) is quite vibrant as well.
My only "complain" is that menu rarely changes; I have seen pretty much same dishes & drinks over the past few years. Perhaps with couple of small additions. On the other hand - dinner or HH at SOBA will never disappoint with "tried and true" selections.
Awesome! 1st time there and we will most certainly return!
We LOVE Soba and Big Burrito, however, Wednesday was kind of a rough evening. First, our table wobbled and couldn't be fixed. It did not seem to bother the next couple, but these issues should be taken care of ahead of time. We were moved to a four-top but the 2 additional place settings were left on the table for the duration of the meal. We hadn't finished our cocktails when the first course arrived. Finished plates from each course were not removed before the next course came. On past visits, servers seemed to be aware of other tables during busy nights and pitched in when possible. Actually, another server did ask if everything was o.k. Our server was pleasant and very accommodating, but needed more training. The following, hopefully is not petty, but servers need to curb the comment, "Oh! that's my favorite" and "great choice". The food, cocktails and wine were excellent, as always. We were at Eleven the week before and will be at Casbah this Sunday. We LOVE Big Burrito.
Outstanding service, excellent food, but virtually sharing a table with strangers, and that greatly limited conversation.
We have dined at Soba in the past and very much enjoyed our experience. However, this experience was very disappointing. We have lived in Asia and traveled extensively there as well, so we are very familiar with the various Asian cuisines. We did not expect Soba to duplicate what is served in Asia. However, none of the dishes we ordered was even remotely like the same dishes we have ordered in Asia. I started with a tempura shrimp appetizer. The shrimp were a nice size and had been cooked in a tempura batter but then covered in a sweet sauce. I thought the sauce would be served on the side. Serving the sauce on the shrimp as it was presented to me almost completely obliterated the tempura aspect of the dish. For my main course I ordered a miso/black cod dish that was swimming in miso - far too much sauce and, as a result, much saltier than miso flavored dishes I have had on other occasions! My husband ordered pork dumplings as an appetizer. The pork was flavorful but the dumplings were more like perogi - large and very doughy - than the smaller dim sum (the term used to describe the dish on Soba's menu) we have enjoyed in Chinese countries. For his main course, my husband ordered a Korean bulgogi, which was very light on meat, had too much soy sauce and just did not taste "Korean." We understand that most customers at Soba never have been fortunate to have spent significant time in Asia and to have developed a taste for the "real thing." However, what we were served at Soba was too "dumbed down" or "Americanized" for our tastes.
We have eaten at SOBA many times and usually had no complaint. The decor is beautiful both modern and warm. Our service was great. My husband ordered the seared tuna which he said was very good. We ordered fried pork dumplings and they were incredibly salty even without the sauce. I ordered basil chicken with noodles and it was overwhelmingly salty so that I could not taste any of the other flavors involved. The noodles were also mushy and might have been cooked the day before. I usually order a fish which is normally good but this time I ventured......
BTW the spicy pork in lettuce leaves appetizer is really good. Like I said this was my first bad meal. I don't like to send food back because that means I have to sit without a meal for 15 min. while my husband finishes his. And I don't want it taken off the bill. I want good food and I will pay for it.
LOVE Soba. Best Bi Bim Bap in town! Their sushi/sashimi/rolls are always excellent too. Can't forget the Kim Chi!
Great service, great food, great drinks, great ambience... perfect for a special occasion with your significant other.
