the braised beef cheek was mediocre at best. the okra salad had sticks in it. Oysters were pricey but delicious. Zack and Max, however were awesome

Great experience at the oyster bar and later for dining. Loved the fried okra chaat and fried olive balls. My husband enjoyed the swordfish and I had the best cioppino I’ve ever had-the Thursday night special. One of the top dining destinations in Oxford!

snackbar is a consistent top quality experience. Fantastic food with great service. We were hosting our daughter’s friend from Birmingham, England on this visit and enjoyed her first raw oysters AND fried okra. :) thanks snackbar for a lovely evening.

Loved the venue and terrific service. The food was very good and different but the fried shredded okra dish was a little unexpected since it was fried and shredded and in a cold mixture. We love the other dishes. We will definitely go back though.

The ambiance & service was impeccable! I ordered the crab imperial I was very disappointed with it. The portion was very small & hardly any crab meat. The lentil beans weren’t cooked they were hard as a rock I almost cracked a tooth!! My wife had the mahi it was very good! The tomato stacker was a really good appetizer! Great place I’ll order a different dish next time!

We tried the Chuck Steak- twice - first order it was over cooked and second order it was cooked correctly- however the meat was tough as shoe leather! We would never order it again! Should have ordered the Shrimp! Ps - we paid for the meal - the service was good and the manager offered to make adjustments to the bill. We decided the employees should not suffer for a lousy steak.

Snackbar continues to be our go-to dining spot. We love the laid back but still smart atmosphere, the changing menu, and the excellent service. We started with the green salad, which changes slightly depending on what greens are available yet always seems to taste precisely as you want it to taste. I had the khichdi and my husband had the tuna special. We both finished with coffee (always rich and excellent) and the thin mint tart. I rarely eat dessert, but this one was worth being overly full! Two great points here: you are served by staff who know what they’re doing and the menu changes frequently.

As a local, I've eaten here many times over the past few years and have never been disappointed. Their menu suits people with a wide palate and there is always something new and inventive to try. If you are wanting something a little less adventurous, the Damn Fine Burger with a side of pomme frites (fancy french fries with parmesan and truffle oil) will hit the spot. The only place in Oxford to always offer fresh oysters, typically from the Mobile area or eastern coast. Try them with the mignonette sauce and you'll likely give up cocktail sauce forever.

Really nice experience. Food was delicious, and our server was friendly, helpful and attentive. Enjoyed a special pinot noir that was bottled specifically for local wine shop and Snackbar. Highly recommend.
