Originally established in 1967, Smuggler's Inn has been serving Alberta prime rib to several generations. Always a popular place for Calgarians to gather and celebrate, we are the preferred dining choice for birthdays, anniversaries, milestones or just meeting friends and family. Our prime rib is the main feature of our diverse menu, available all day, every day any way you like it. From a 9oz. prime rib sandwich, all the way up to a 48oz cut, our succulent prime rib is sure to please any appetite. Cajun blackened is always a popular choice, as is adding a lobster tail or side of garlic shrimp. Of course there is a creative selection of steaks, chicken and seafood to satisfy everyone. With a soup and salad bar included with every entree, not many guests leave hungry, but it would be a great idea if you saved room for one of our delicious desserts...even if you plan on sharing.

Birthday lunch with my BFF who was a bit under the weather. Excellent and kind service from Amie (always!) was much appreciated. Salad greens were a bit wilted and not as fresh as usual. Prime rib was great!

Friends and I get together every 2 months for lunch. Great food, free parking, able to speak to each without loud music. Have enjoyed every time we've gone there. The Portuguese bean and sausage soup is excellent!!!!

This was our first time here and our waiter Derek was absolutely awesome. He made this a very pleasurable outing. The salad and soup bar was such a nice change from most high end steakhouses. My wife had the Sunday Prime Rib special, my daughter had the Filet and I had the Ribeye and all were done perfect and were very tasty.

Valentine’s Day

Red wine was warm. Food was subpar.
We were disappointed with our experience
This time. The soups were not good at all
They were running out of bread whole evening.
We will find another place now for special occasions

We were here for both Valentine's day and my wife's birthday. When we arrived we were greeted and taken to our seat fairly quickly. Our server was fantastic and attended to us quite often. Salad bar was good as usual and when our meal came it was cooked to perfection (prime rib - med rare and a Rib Eye steak medium well). It is not often that I can find anyone who is able to cook it this way. Mine was perfect. My wife enjoyed her prime rib and at the end of the meal they brought my wife a birthday dessert (Mud pie) and it hit the spot. Overall, we were happy with our experience and look forward in being back there again!
