Smoke On Cherry Street Ratings and Reviews
Disappointed. I’ve come here for happy hour with coworkers and the cocktails and appetizers have been great so I decided to take my husband for brunch on his birthday. Food was “ok”, but the service was not great. I had made reservations for a special occasion and the service was sketchy...at best. My husband ordered a Bloody Mary with me saying I might order one after I tasted his...husband had to finally stop waitress as she zoomed away from our table a third time later to ask if I wanted to order a beverage. I don’t think we’ll be back.
It’s always a great experience dining at Smoke. The home-made potato chips with blue cheese dipping sauce is the perfect starter at lunchtime. Every dish on the menu is delicious, but the smoked trout salad is my favorite dish for lunch. The butcher block smoked meat platter is exceptional, and a great dish to share. Waitstaff is extremely attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this amazing local restaurant
This is not the first time I have eaten at Smoke, and I was quite happy with everything the first time. This time, however, the prime rib was a bit overcooked from the medium I ordered, I was served mashed potatoes for which I had asked roasted cauliflower to be substituted, and the asparagus I had ordered was missing. The waiter immediately served me a plate of asparagus, but both the asparagus and cauliflower were only a bit warm - not hot as they should have been (especially for the price). Overall, I was disappointed after looking forward to excellent food.
We eat here a couple of times a year, enjoy the eclectic food and atmosphere. The quality of the food is always good, service as well. Can be a little pricy, so no that going in. The value is there for the cost though. Son had a large steak, on bed of fries that was very good. Wife and I shared the special, Swordfish. It was well cooked and seasoned, plenty of food to split. Enjoyed the experience overall, as we usually do. Have never had a bad experience here.
The food and service was spectacular! My husband and I enjoy going here anytime we have a special occasion or for brunch. The rosemary bread was out of this world. The pork loin with the mushroom risotto was amazing and enough for a second meal! My husband gets the beef tenderloin every time. He thinks theirs is better than all of the high end steak houses in Tulsa!
We ordered the buthcer's block. Four of us shared it and we took home leftovers. The food quality was superb. All the meats were so delicious. The vegetables were a four instead of a five because they were good but not special.Scott was a wonderful, kind, entertaining waiter. He was very helpful since it was our first time to visit Smoke. It was a special occasion and we had a wonderful evening.
Unfortunately two of our meals were not great. My husband had the special, which was shark and it was not very good and my friend had the Pork Brisket and it was terrible! I had the Winter Squash Salad and it was delightful as was our appetizer, PB&J.
My friend has had the Pork Brisket before and it has always been delicious. Our food at Smoke has always been wonderful and eye-pleasing. We are saddened with our latest experience.
However, the service was top-notch as usual. We will return to Smoke in the hopes that it was just an off night, as can happen, even to the best.
We looooooove Smoke! There food was amazing as always. I had the pork cheek pouting and my boyfriend had his usual, the brisket burrito. The cornbread muffins with the chipotle butter are to die for. Our server could have been a liiiiittle more attentive, but she did a great job!
Overall a very good meal. Crab cake & fried green tomatoes app was really good, quail legs also tasty.
Entrees were very good -the special was pecan crusted rainbow trout, but it was deep fried, which we weren't told. Would not have ordered it if we'd known but it was very tasty.
Rack of lamb, medium, done perfectly, delicious, but came with a weird buffalo wing style sauce. Forget that, put some mint jelly on there and it's perfect! (They didn't have mint jelly).
Dessert was a good apple crisp. All around solid meal.
Our driver had visited this restaurant on more than one occasion, but on this night they offered valet parking. Not expecting the valet, she simply pulled into the parking lot close to where a valet attendant was parking another patron's car where he could be seen visibly mouthing vulgarities at our driver. Not off to a good start.
The service was mediocre. The food was mediocre (at best). Nothing special here - just pretence based on a Cherry Street location.
The real shocker was the bill. A party of four - $176
I don't mind paying for excellence, like Mahogany or Chalkboard - but Smoke is not in the running. We should've gone to Charleston's for better food, better parking and better prices.
