Priding ourselves on our motto ‘Famous for fish’ Smiths Restaurants is a name that has become synonymous with fine dining and quality, attentive service. Our restaurants are located in Ongar Essex (just off the A414) and Wapping in central London (near Tower Bridge). Both restaurants boast an extensive menu of fresh fish that we offer to cook in a variety of ways to suit every palette. We also offer locally sourced meat dishes to accommodate those who prefer their food terra firma. To compliment the quality of our food we have worked closely with well renowned independent wine merchants to ensure we have a selection of wines that are the perfect accompaniment to every meal. The only problem you may have a Smith’s is being spoilt for choice.

    Smiths never disappoints. Excellent in every way. Efficient, friendly and professional. Food is beyond excellent

    As always fantastic food , my Brixham dover sole was sublime as expected . 1st time we had a little issue when my husband wasn’t served the drink he ordered & had to ask 3 times . But the staff are all lovely & were very apologetic . Never had an an issue in all the years we have been here. Wish I could eat it all again today 😊.

    Very disappointed to say the lleast , terrible non attentive Waitress who seemed less interested in serving us , no bar facility until 730pm and why do they have a bouncer on the door? Last but not least , clearly zero dress code as we were sitting next to a young couple wearing shorts! The upside , we then had a far better more attentive gentleman but at this stage the damage had been done
