Priding ourselves on our motto ‘Famous for fish’ Smiths Restaurants is a name that has become synonymous with fine dining and quality, attentive service. Our restaurants are located in Ongar Essex (just off the A414) and Wapping in central London (near Tower Bridge). Both restaurants boast an extensive menu of fresh fish that we offer to cook in a variety of ways to suit every palette. We also offer locally sourced meat dishes to accommodate those who prefer their food terra firma. To compliment the quality of our food we have worked closely with well renowned independent wine merchants to ensure we have a selection of wines that are the perfect accompaniment to every meal. The only problem you may have a Smith’s is being spoilt for choice.

Excellent food and service as always. The lunchtime menu is a good deal. 3 courses for £39.

First time to Smiths and the service and food were amazing. Very attentive staff from accommodating bringing our booking forward to adding a spare table to give us more space when the restaurant wasn’t as busy. I’d definitely recommmend for dinner dates, birthdays etc

The staff were amazing, friendly courteous and attentive and kept a professional eye on all Diners making sure that when they were needed, they were there. The premises are very very clean, the dinner table was laid extremely welcoming and the food!!!!! omg very very nice. It was my birthday but I took my Mum and partner and my Mum said "Its the best restaurant she's been too" The quality of the food was out of this world. Thanks to everyone at Smith's I had a lovely Birthday and looking forward to coming back very soon.

Had a lovely lunch with friends who were celebrating their Diamond Wedding Anniversary. I did mention this when I booked and was hoping a small special treat would be given to them. Unfortunately this was ignored. However, the meal was lovely and the staff very attentive. A nice table by a window which was another request was met. Thank you Smiths for a lovely afternoon.
