We love eating at SMITH. It is always a relaxing experience with local food, friendly staff, and a great location.
Amazing food and drinks on the patio on Canada Day. Service was friendly and attentive. We love SMITH and already can't wait to go back!
I love the chips and dip but they were out... the wounded cheese is a close second. The steak was the only disappointment asked for rare it was medium rare at best. Everyone else's food was great.
Given the pandemic , we appreciated safe zone, menu, and total service received.
We came out early, used your patio, great food and service.
Then walked around the Forks, July 1, and came back for our most delicious meal. The server was absolutely amazing!
First of all, I and my date were kept waiting as she got there first and was seated and even though I got there early, I and she were kept waiting as I only gave them my first name and it was reserved under my full name. The food was tasty but we had the pickerel and it was just the pickerel, nothing else. To even have a vegetable, it was a la carte, which to my mind is not appropriate. I am getting really annoyed with restaurants that don’t give you good quantities of food or of low quality, just because their location is good, I would much rather eat at a place that focuses on good overall value food. Once we were both seated, the service was good but I don’t think I want to go back.
Lovely. Great service and the food (gnocchi, caesar salad, verging Strawberry drink and the hamburger wwere all amazing!
Excellent atmosphere, incredible drinks and amazing food. The service was impeccable and I felt very safe and comfortable eating there during these unusual times (covid-19).
Great patio and wonderful service from all staff. The food was good too and were able to accommodate allergies with no issues.
I love the ambiance there. Cocktails and food are always delicious and it is the first place that made it feel normal to go out. They are taking all necessary precautions with the current situation but are not making it an uncomfortable experience.
For brunch, the menu is very limited and not very inspiring. Food was just ok, nothing to run back for. Portions were ok if not ravenous making prices high for what you get. Would go back but with lower expectations.
The buttermilk chicken was incredible!
Pounded cheese was incredible, the steak was just ok. Service was great.
Mediocre overpriced food and mediocre service. Not an inviting place.
Overall our experience was very good and the customer service was excellent. The hazelnut torte wasn't what we would have expected - it was on the dry side and looked more like a brownie.
Wonderful food and quiet surroundings, Parking was a breeze
Our first restaurant outing since Feb and it felt normal. Had a terrific visit
Social distancing was on point! Very clean, fast service
First dinner out since lockdown started! 👍🏻
Hands down my favourite spot in the city! Great service and the food is always delicious. Menu items rotate every now with the seasons which is nice to change things up. The beast/catch of the day for dinner are always generous, tasty and affordable. I only wish some of my favourite menu items came back (Broccolini and Rabbit Ravioli)
Food & Service were excellent. Staff were very pleasant & seemed very happy to be back at work. We also ordered dinner for 4 to eat in our home. Everything was again excellent & the staff went above beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
Great meal and service. Loved the lay out and lighting. Would recommend.
Ambiance was amazing. Customer Service was top notch! Food was delicious :)
The food was delicious, the service stupendous and the kitchen was so accommodating to set our menus items up family style, as that is how we had requested to share items. We had a wonderful meal and enjoyed everything so much. Notably the Brussels Sprouts side and pork belly starter were just delectable!
The service was not good unfortunately. The waitress forgot little things over and over, kept apologizing but continued to be distracted. She did not clear away side plates and coffee cups as they were done being used, so our table was full of dirty dishes the whole time.
The food was not my usual experience at Smith. The burger was so salty I couldn’t finish it. I was sick for approximately two hours after my visit.
I love Smith and don’t plan to avoid it, I feel it was one of those anomaly visits unfortunately
Loved the sausage and chaurchutire boards. Oysters were also delicious! Thanks!
Everything was great, just a bit expensive. $11 for a side of potatoes and $36 for just a 10oz steak, seems a bit high. Cool place though and I would go back for sure.
A great place for a night out! Great food and ambiance. Service was a bit slow, but it was a Saturday night.
Ok food and value. Great setting though. Would recommend as a place for a drink not a formal meal.
The service and food were excellent! Also, the location is awesome.
The food was very mediocre and incredibly overpriced. The restaurant was empty but the bar was full and apparently there is a different bar menu so I guess the bar is the place to go. The food in the restaurant is very expensive, the entrees are all ala cart so no sides at all and every side dish is a minimum $10. The pork chop was sliced into 4 small pieces, the filet steak was sliced in half horizontally and was not impressive and the 2 small plates I ordered consisted of 3 mushroom ravioli and 3 marrow bones that had, in total, about 1 oz of marrow to spread across 4 pieces of garlic bread. The desserts were good and reasonably priced, and in the end, were the highlight of the meal. 3 people arrived hungry and left hungry but with a wallet $250 lighter for 3 'meals' and 3 cocktails. I will not be going back and would not recommend this location to anyone. The waitress and service were excellent though, but could not make up for the mediocre food and very high prices for the quantity of food.
We had a pleasant evening but the service was minimum at best. Truffle fries were also very disappointing.
The lamb, buttermilk chicken and cauliflower fritters were good.
Madison was fantastic! Would recommend this place to everyone!
The menu was boring. I ordered the catch of the day which was nothing special. I ordered this as the entree selection is very limited and seems overwhelmingly red meat. Maybe just not the right place for me. My dessert sticky toffee pudding was dry and disappointing. The salmon tartare was wonderful however. Just wish there was more of a seafood selection for entrees. Like salmon or shrimp
. Overall a perfect spot for a special occasion.
Food was excellent and the server was amazing. Price was a little steep but all in all a very good experience
I love the ambiance here and the location when your day allows for some touring around. We enjoyed our brunch for the most part - had a few things not so perfect but sometimes that happens. If you have a small child be sure to explain that it might be helpful to receive the meal first or quickly. Parents weren't asked, didn't think to specify and it was a bit long of a wait. I will go back FOR SURE as I like Smith.
My boyfriend and I made reservations at SMITH for my birthday. We ordered the half fried chicken and two cocktails. The chicken was incredible and the creativity of the cocktails was amazing. Mine came in a tea cup and his came in a cool tall green glass. We will definitely be returning!
Sorry but I love french fries and the 12 $ potion of burned bites with truffle oil not worth the money ,my philosophy ..if a Kitchen can't make crispy french fries and pay attention to a simple staple it sets the tone for the rest of the courses ,way to over prized poor quality . Zucchini fritters ..not crispy mushy ,it came with tomato sauce ... this sauce was reduced to a thick paste not even closed to a sauce ...cauliflower not properly cooked ,hard inside , soggy outside . Face value of the mushroom ravioli ,poor presentation ...everything looked like it was rushed ... can't recommend it ,won't come back .
Our experience was overall good as was the quality of the food. However it took over an hour to have our dinner delivered which was less than desirable.
I wrote a yelp review
Food very poor and small samples
