Good and service excellent as always.
Great food and excellent service. Never disappoints!
Dinner was really good.
Robs very good
Very impressed with this casual steak restaurant, the price was affordable for similar cut served at more expensive places! We will definitely be coming back here!
Great food and atmosphere. Didn’t feel rushed to leave. Had a great meal with friends and we could all hear each other speak (all 8 of us). Great spot.
love this place. steaks are VERY good. Reasonably priced. Very well run place
We have been to Smith Bros on several occasions. We continue to come back because the steak it is consistently delicious. Our steak is always cooked exactly how we request.
My boyfriend and I really love going to the Smith Bros. Steakhouse. We love the "complete" menu which includes an appetizer, a tasty main and a dessert. With a drink we're in and out for about fifty bucks per person, which is our sweet spot. Unlike other steakhouses, the salads are excellent, with dark leafy greens, chopped egg and real bacon bits. Very filling. The wine is reasonable priced and the selections are good. Not too fancy. Some nice robust reds. The bread is top-notch, arrives hot to the table and there's plenty of quality butter. The steaks are terrific, of course, and mine have always been cooked just how I like them. Smith Bros. is a cut above the average steakhouse.
Came here to celebrate a birthday. Three of us ordered the prime rib and one had the Filet mignon. The prime rib came with a choice of potato and a Yorkshire pudding. The prime rib was tender but the "au jus" was watery and bland. The Yorkshire pudding was basic. For $35.00 they could have offered a vegetable or two. The 7 oz. filet mignon was cooked perfectly but the mushroom cabernet sauce was a little too acidic for her liking. Again, no vegetable or garnish. With 1 drink each, no appetizer or dessert, dinner for 4 of us came to $215 with tip. Was it worth it? We didn't think so.
As always an excellent meal. Seated & served very quickly, everything was great.
Great place to have some steak and just talk. Great food, service and price point.
The prime rib was really delicious, cooked to the right temp for everyone. Great value. Honestly haven't had a great quality prime rib like this one in a long time even at much more expensive establishments. The server was really nice and attentive too.
First time at the restaurant, the server Stella was wonderful, unfortunately the food took way too long to arrive.
This is one of our favorite places to go, for a casual evening or date night. food is always great and the staff are very helpful and timely.
Smith Brothers never fails to produce great meals. Looking forward to our next visit.
Excellent food, great service,, would go there any time for a steak or prime rib but for
The price, wish it was a bit less casual, could use a nicer ambiance, especially for dinner.
Although we were expecting a “steakhouse”, we ended up at a nice family restaurant.
The ambiance was less than a steakhouse, but was a very nice casual restaurant.
Rib steaks were a large, but relatively thin. The striploin was surprisingly excellent, as was the filet mignon. All steaks came with a side sauce, but the steaks were flavourful without and didn’t need the sauce.
Our server was friendly and attentive.
A good restaurant for a steak, but far from a “steakhouse”.
Smith Bros. Has become one of my “go to” places. The food is awesome. I really love the steaks and the pot pie is the best anywhere. The house salad is a must!
as much as I love the prime rib and my husbands' steak is always amazing, I always say the baker of the Yorkshires should be the highest paid in that kitchen. truly outstanding and excellent food and value every time
Went to this restaurant based on previous reviews. I was hoping to be really impressed, but I have to admit, that I came away somewhat disappointed. "One of our most popular steaks" as per the server, was disappointing. It reminded me of a cut that would be found on a steak sandwich in a chain restaurant. $50 after tax and tip per head for nothing special and a coffee was, in my opinion, way overpriced. Probably wouldn't return as there's better out there for the same price.
I requested a quieter booth, and my request was answered. It was a Saturday night and as expected the place was fairly busy. Michael, who waited on us was very polite, professional and eager to please. We’ve always had really good experiences at this restaurant and will definitely return. Thank you
Food was great. Service was good as well. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends
On our third visit.... Jason was somewhat abrasive ! I didn’t like his comment when he passed me the payment machine and insinuated that I had a few options regarding the tip he assumed I was leaving ?? I tipped him but found that to be quite pretentious !!
We’ve been to Smith Bros Steakhouse several times now and they never disappoint. The food is great and reasonably priced. Portions are plentiful. The manager/owner always stops by your table to ask how things are. Servers are very knowledgeable about food and wine, extremely friendly and attentive.
Yet another great experience!
Food and service were both fine but not exceptional; very good value for dollar.
It was a wonderful experience and my friends who has never been there enjoyed the place, food and service.
We have been here several times. What keeps us coming back is we consistently get the best steak in the city. Love the atmosphere the service is always great. Just an all around great experience. Will definitely return again and again.
Second time at Smith Bros. and I was impressed both times. The food is excellent as is the service. The meat is cooked to perfection per your preference and is melt in your mouth good. I will be back again soon!
We were really excited to try this restaurant due to all the great reviews. It ended up costing us 250$ for 2 couples. Which we wouldn't mind if the portions were fair sized and the steak was really good. Unfortunately, the sirloins we ordered were all very chewy, the appetizer (Spinach and artichoke dip) was very bland, the main entree was very small, and the cheesecake was very yogurty and not at all like a cheesecake. The only good thing we enjoyed was the salad and the teriyaki pick up sticks. Our waitress, Stella, seemed very nice and helped us substitute for shrimp allergies (the only reason I tipped well was cause of her helpfulness). I'm not sure if it was because we ordered the special that the entree was so disappointing or if they were just having an off night on Valentines. Overall, we were very excited and ended up being very disappointed. We were going to recommend this place to our friends and family cause we were so sure it was going to be great but now we have decided not to.
Poor food quality, disappointing service
This restaurant is definitely comparable to The Keg. Food wise and price wise . Pros for this restaurant , they take reservations on special occasions , food was excellent, option to do the complete meal which included your salad and a dessert was a great idea as well. On the downside , when ordering the complete or any meal for that matter the meal only comes with sides being 3 different forms of potato, fries , mashed or baked. The meal has no veggies . Limited options for the side being the 3 different versions of potatoes. Also limited options on dessert menu. If you would like a side of vegetables it is an additional charge and it is a serving for 2, so if your the only one in your party that wants this then it is a waste. Lastly I appreciate that the waitress came to check to see how our meal was however another gentleman came as well and not once but twice and he kept walking around the tables which made me feel somewhat uncomfortable. But all in all was a very good dining experience .
We love the steak and the toasted marsmallow ice cream is the bomb!!! A must try. 😊
I have been to Smith Bros on several occasions and this visit was not up to par. I ordered a Caesar salad to start and the panko shrimp dinner. They brought the panko shrimp which was very dry and overcooked. I asked where my salad was, and the waiter had forgotten it. My two other friends ordered the roast beef dinner but the waiter did not bring the large knife. We had to ask for it after struggling with cutting the beef. Overall it was not a great visit.
Normally, Smithbros is our go-to place for our anniversary and birthdays...
But lately, despite using OPENTABLE for our resos, our servers don’t acknowledge the special occasion which is written in the notes section (anniversary/birthday) and do not ask us about it or offer the complementary dessert. This insentive is what drove us this place, along with the food quality and service. Hopefully, with the price increase, this is something that can be taken more seriously. Otherwise, why even have a special occasion request? Hopefully we can continue our business with Smithbros.
This was our first time dining at Smith Bros. It was your average steakhouse. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t exceptional either. I ordered a sirloin with a lobster and shrimp brandy cream sauce. I found the sauce to have a bit too much sweetness, which wasn’t to my taste, but others may enjoy. The service was quick and they were polite. When making the reservation via Open Table app, I listed that it was a special occasion (birthday) but it was never acknowledged so I’m not sure there is any point in noting it in future. Overall, just your average restaurant, which I probably wouldn’t go out of my way for.
The server Vida was extremely friendly and was on top of the drinks, and drink refills!
Was recommended by a friend, and I would be more than happy to tell friends.
This is a family favourite for steak, salmon and pretty well anything on the menu. The starters are great also. The beer selection is good. This restaurant can accommodate large groups or large families and kids are welcome. The servers and staff are always friendly and in general it is a good experience. There is also lots of parking which is a real bonus. We have had family dinners here a number of times and have always had a good time and enjoyed the food. We will try one of the weekday specials next. I would recommend this restaurant to friends.
Keep up the good work. We love the Smith bros and visit you once a month.
It was quiet and an okay restaurant
