Slice of Vegas Ratings and Reviews
It was so empty. Not even 25% of chairs filled on a Wednesday night at 8pm. Service was efficient and waitress was nice, but she made us feel rushed towards dessert time and we weren’t even done eating the pizza yet. Why rush me out if nobody is in here as it is? So we were asked if we wanted dessert 3 times before pizza was done and decided to just go and not get any. Overall, I more than likely won’t go back, it was OK. Pizza is MAYBE above average but definitely not close to NY.
Food was amazing, however our waiter was like the Road Runner. Great that you're efficient (or at least move fast), but SLOW DOWN when you get to the table - we are there for an enjoyable evening and are not operating at your pace - we're trying not to get indigestion. :-)
Slice of vegas offers great food in a relaxed atmosphere, with friendly, helpful, servers! I wasn't sure what to expect, as it is located in the Mandalay bay shops that sit in the walkway between Luxor & Mandalay bay(closer to the Luxor end)
we had pizza, and lasagna, and both were quite exceptional!! The food/alcohol is a lil pricier than some of it should be, but we had a great experience, and it was after all, vacation.
We walked all the way down to mandalay bay for this restaurant for the vegan options. The menu is amazing, however it was super super hard to find. We walked the entire place before we found it. Also they don't sing happy bday when they serve a birthday and since so many people do bdays in vegas I found that weird.
We went because they have a vegan menu which is AWESOME. A few years back we had the pizza. It's very good but this time we just wanted Italian. It's fine. They used gardein chicken tenders for the " buffalo wings" huh? And they attempted a cauliflower sauce linguine. Too liquid no taste and had more gardein on it. What's with gardein and Vegas. Also had the garlic bread and a salad totally fine. The vegan chocolate cake is really good. They also have an amazing beer selection. Service was great.
Located in the Shops area at Mandalay Bay, this establishment appears to be just another Italian style dining/Pizza joint, until you see the menu. The food was okay but very pricey for a pizza shop. We ordered the Fried Calamari appetizer which was overcooked, lacked seasoning and was quite bland. The menu choices were void of some traditional favorite choices and we thought a little short on options. The service was pretty good. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive, but was busy (due to shortage of staff not overcrowded conditions) and caused some waiting issues, including rare drink refills. The pizza wasn't too bad, but could be better for the price. All in all, not sure we would return. Can't say it was bad, but could have had a better meal somewhere else for the cost.
Went for lunch and ordered my favorite Philly cheese steak. They've changed it a bit since I had it last, and now serve it with a beer cheese sauce on top. If I had realized that, I would have requested it not be on there, as it really wasn't very good. I would prefer it to have mozzarella or even provolone. Other than that, the food was great. We love the calamari appetizer and their French fries are always hot and delicious.
Slice of Vegas is a great and reasonably priced Italian restaurant worth every penny. We ate lunch there three days in a row trying different menu items, and each time we had great food and great service. The pizzas and pastas are very tasty. Next time we are in Vegas, this is one restaurant we are definitely going to visit.
We waited for over an hour for our food. When we finally received it, one of the dishes was not the way we wanted it and the waitress said "Oh well, I tried" to get it right, sorry that it didn't come out right. It was a very bad experience and i wouldn't recommend it at all.
