The meals consist of organic elements including grass-fed beef and pasture-raised, cage-free chickens. Local seafood options include wild Gulf shrimp, spicy Monterey squid and seared Ahi tuna, or visitors can take advantage of the raw seafood bar. Those looking for a vegetarian or vegan menu will find plenty of options available. The Slanted Door offers a family-style menu and a wide selection of desserts with an extensive bar menu to wash it all down.

The entree’s were a little pricey. However, the food was unique and delicious.
Great place to bring visitors to SF. The building is gorgeous and the food was exceptional. We were able to share despite a wide variety of tastes and ages. The highlight was dessert w cotton candy
Underwhelmed by the food. Expected more from the ambiance. Service was just ok.
We have come here every time we have been in SF over the past 10 years and continue to love it as a truly top culinary experience! The only criticism is the noise level, which is likely due to the space, most of which is concrete. Good for a lively atmosphere, not good for conversation. Fantastic food and service!
Service was prompt with great suggestions and fast. We had a stellar experience. We would definitely go back.
Always excellent food! Been here many times over the years and never disappoints.
Great food. Would go back and try additional items.
This restaurant is one of my all time favorites but the noise level is so annoying
The food and area was amazing. It was just really loud, especially early when there was still the happy hour crowd.
Consistently good! Food comes to your table hot and delicious ( the hot part is a rarity these days).Service very good in an establishment that is always packed lunch and dinner. Highly recommended if in SF!
Has a great view of the Bay Bridge and especially good to dine as day turns to night and the Bay bridge is lit up. But other than a great waterfront view, the food is ok, service is unfriendly, menu pricey, and not great options for vegetarians. We had appetizers, drinks, and 2 entrees for 3, and the bill was $200...and we were all hungry at end of meal.
Amazing food and exceptional very knowledgeable service!
The food at Slanted Door is always outstanding; you don’t go there expecting a quiet dining experience. The patrons are friendly and the service is fast, but don’t expect a leisure meal. Still highly recommend.
A wonderful experience for a 84th birthday celebration. The greatest issue was the noise level. However the host bitted us at a table backed by a wall to help alleviate the issue. We are sure that it was helpful. The food was superb and the service flawless. Thank you for a delightful dining experience.
Great food; great service! They seated us before our friends arrived, which was really nice and unusual for an SF restaurant. Thanks.
Food was ok and the prices were a bit elevated. However, amazing dining room and the view was spectacular. :)
Loved our meals. Portions larger than expected. 2 appetizers enough for a meal.
Great food. Never rushed.
The entire ambiance of the place is amazing and the food is very good. However the service was very disconnected from a good guest experience. Definitely felt as if there was no attention to detail in the service, just a very robotic feeling the entire time. Potentially the staff had too many tables to deal with but it’s not what I expect from a restaurant that comes with a higher price tag. Ive been to other establishments in the area with a similar or even higher price tag and the overall customer service is leagues beyond what they were able to provide.
too expensive for food you go. I could get better food but I guess I am paying for the ambiance. I would not go back
Wonderful service and food! Enjoyed a mother daughter lunch date!
Would have been a food rating of 5, but noodles with crab tasted bland and soggy. Not up to par.
Loved it and can’t wait to go back.
Always wonderful; iconic Ferry Building location. Great food, service and ambience. Great cotton candy!!!!
Great ambiance and food. Nice location, great view of the Bay Bridge.
Love the food! And the service is just perfect. The food is expensive but at least the portions are large and very shareable.
The food is fabulous and lived up to reputation.
Just delightful....we love coming here with out of town guests.
The food is excellent and so is the service. My only problem with the restaurant is the noise level and the general layout of the dining room. It's a cavernous, hardscape environment with very closely-spaced tables. But the view of the Bay Bridge light installation is great, which must make it a popular destination for tourists. As well as for the many tables of well-paid tech workers . . . It's expensive but the portions are decently sized--we took leftovers home.
Excellent food, excellent service. It would be nice if there was one area that was a little less noisy.
Excellent food. Table was ready at reservation time.
Went to Slanted Door for lunch on a Wednesday. Food is a little expensive but well worth the cost. Would highly recommend stopping in to try it. Overall a 9.5/10
Food was ok. I was in town on vacation and was very, very much looking forward to this dinner, but honestly, it was a bit of a let down. Spare ribs were not anything special; shaken beef had some flavor but I had to add quite a bit of lime, sauce and salt/pepper mix. Our scallops were cold and had to be sent back. My mixed drink was very average. The waiter was very attentive and kind. He comp'd our dessert because of the scallop situation, but I was not really looking for that. Hostess was a bit snippy, but they were very busy. I suspect due to the size and volume of the food this restaurant produces daily, the quality suffers somewhat, which is too bad. The view is beautiful, but I'd rather have great food.
After wanting to go here for a long time, this was a real letdown. Food was mediocre at best. Clay pot chicken was bland and chicken was chewy. Scallop dish was cold. Seared tuna was fine but not very interesting. Spring rolls and green papaya salad were good.
Waitress was excellent; disappointed to find out certain dishes weren’t available.
AWESOME! The food was excellent and the beignets were the best!
Amazing restaurants but crowded and loud
Food was definitely good, but overpriced in my opinion.
We had a great time entertaining out of town friends here - lots of energy and is pretty busy in a good way. Definitely recommend for great seafood dishes, colorful salads, and lighter bites such as spring rolls, oysters, ribs app, etc
