Noodle dish with chicken and noodle with pork, delicious....
Offensive Noise level ... fabric would help.
We had tickets for a symphony at Davies. We told the waitress we had one hour for dinner. She got our order in right away, we got our delicious food and we able to leave in time to catch BART. We really appreciated the attention to our request!
We have been here several times now. The food is always good but you do need to pay the price. It would be good to go once a while. This time, we had a nice view but the it was too much noice you will have hard time to hear the conversation.
Good food, great views. Not the best Vietnamese I’ve ever had, but very solid and delicious.
Fantastic food. Don't miss the Pork Belly appetizer--AH MAZ ING!!
Been over a decade since I ate here last, but am as impressed now as I was then. "Just to die for" deliscious! Beautifully prepared, served, and melt in your mouth decadent. Would love to dine there again, but had to ransome my 1st born just to get in. Great work chefs & staff!
Imperial rolls ---vegetarian & not ---, daikon rice cakes, hiramasa & vietnamese crepes.....what a flavor celebration !! Our server, Ginger, was terrific because of her attentiveness & menu suggestions. Our lunch was the perfect exclamation point on our annual "Family Holiday Trip to the City."
Food was flavorful. Get the Vietnamese crepe! The grapefruit jicama salad was flavorful but mainly cabbage which I don’t think was worth the $13 for it.
Holiday work dinner
Everything was just perfectly on point. The one issue is the volume of the noise in the restaurant. Too, too noisy!
Lunch is served until 2:30, I was seated at 2:25 and was told I had to order my lunch immediately because the kitchens closing, I had barely had a chance to look at the menu. I put my appetizer order in just to get the ball rolling. At 2:33 I was again reminded that this is my last chance to get my order in. Service throughout was quite unfriendly no smiles or any communication regarding whether I was enjoying my meal or not.. When the check arrived the waiter seemed relieved we were leaving. The food is so good I definitely will come back, not for lunch though the service I've had at dinner was much more pleasant.
Great space at the Ferry Building that can accomodate large groups. The Vietnamese inspired cuisine is tasty and should be shared family style
Food excellent. Service superb. Location outstanding.
Noise level unbearable!
Very nice food.
However, the noise level was very loud and it was difficult having a conversation with people that were not seated right next to you.
I spilled my wine and our waitress was great about it. She cleaned up the mess I made on the floor and refilled my glass without making me feel bad about my klutziness. Thank you!
The food is very good. The wine is a little expensive. Should serve at least one moderate price wine.
We enjoyed the food and atmosphere
Such a TERRIFIC restaurant.. unique, interesting, TASTY, creative, and excellent... Try anything, it’s all exceptional
A friend dropped by to say hi - and the hostess was very rude when he sat at our table (admittedly a table for 2 - but we moved to accommodate him so we weren’t disturbing other guests) for 5-10 mins. Will not return to this restaurant
Always one of my go to spots in the city. The food is awesome and the views are great.
excellent all around. you can taste the freshness. order the salad w/ the pear in it.
Honestly, I feel bad for your incredible chefs because the horrible service just made me forget how good the food was. Took too long for someone to take our order. Entrees took like 35minutes after we finished our appetizers. Dessert took another 20minutes after we finished our main course and when I told the server I didn’t want it anymore it was suddenly there but the 2 servers didn’t give a damn that I was annoyed and one of them even rolled his eyes at me like “calm down its here”... very very disappointed and will definitely not come back.
Delicious selections - still love their bok choy preparation! Good wines by the glass at fair prices.
Great food but definitely too noisy, not energetic just plain noisy
We absolutely love this restaurant!! We will definitely return.
Brother’s graduation. Family came out from Oklahoma and Texas. Had the cookbook and have wanted to come for a while. It was excellent and the members of the family that were unsure of what to expect came away surprised and happy.
Exceptional food and service
It felt souless to me, like the ember has died and what's left is a cafeteria experience. The seating feels more crowded than it did before. The food arrives without a rhythm, in lumps from a hectic kitchen. The staff were super stressed - it was like everybody was over it.
Great service! Amazing food! Overall a very enjoyable night. Most impressed by server...very discerning. Will be back!
The food at the Slanted Door is always great. What made this visit particularly special was the bartender, Noel. He was knowledgeable, fun, and friendly. He engaged with everyone at the bar in a really nice way and turned me onto what is now my favorite cocktail: the 4th Regiment. Delicious.
Awesome food. Great location. Service was great. Definitely recommend.
The food is fine, nothing really special, and a bit on the pricy side. (It's the Ferry Building, duh.) The highlight was in fact our incredibly attentive server. It was crazy busy when we arrived for lunch and she wasn't able to take our order for a while. Suddenly, a different server brought over a plate of spring rolls, which I thought were a mistake. Turns out our server comped them to us bc she felt we'd been neglected! (We were deep in conversation and hadn't even noticed.) Needless to say, we left a good tip.
I had lunch and dinner there. Very happy with the place. Food is good, but not cheap.
Fantastic as always - I have never been disappointed. A great SF experience.
Wonderful restaurant - food great - service is good but a bit slow at times.
After waiting for 15 minutes with no service, we left the restaurant. No questions were asked by the hostess team despite explaining to them the reason we were leaving. There were numerous empty tables despite there being no reservations available after our early 6:15pm arrival time.
Food overall was good. I had made several “phan” dishes at home. I was excited to try his version of “shaking beef”, not be sound pretentious by my at home version tasted better. Dessert was excellent as they turn a bowl of peanut butter and chocolate into an amazing reinvention of a Reese’s peanut butter cup.
Everything is Good!
Over priced Asian food and not worth it. I’ve had better spring rolls and spare ribs. Their chicken soup smelled like wet dog and tasted horrible. 6 different people tried this soup at our table and everyone said it smelled and tasted bad. If you want to dine in the Ferry Building this should be your last choice!
