Sky Asian Fusion Ratings and Reviews
Too Noisy!! Very disorganized when we arrived at 6:50 for our 7:00 reservation. I had requested a quiet, romantic table as it was a birthday. When we arrived there were very few tables occupied & yet the hostess seated us next to a large very noisy table celebrating a landmark birhtday. We never received coffee ordered, no mention was made of birthday. Great food, but at the end of the evening; $126.could be spent at a place with a little more attention & ambience.
We've been to Sky in the past, but this was not the same wonderful experience. The music was loud--I guess because we were close to the bar. The food was only fair this time. I was disappointed. The service we did get was good, but our server was often gone for extended periods of time.
We've been here many times and have taken many friends and family. Each time has been enjoyable and the food and service has been very good each time. I'm sorry I can't recall our servers name but she was very imformative, attentive and timely as to when the food was served.
we were seated promptly. the server greeted us immediately and explained how the brunch was set up. we were told that mimosas could not be served until noon. ( promptly at noon our server brought mimosas to us) the brunch buffet was attractive and the food was very good. the only downside was that it was not replenished very well with some items going empty. our server was outstanding, friendly, funny and did a great job of removing empty and used plates and utensils. we would go back to Sky again.
Both my husband and I are vegetarians and Sky never disappoints us with their vegetarian selections. Food is fresh and prepared very well. We usually eat there a few times a year. This is the second year in a row we have dined there for our Anniversary. You have got to try the tofu lettuce wraps. Even nonvegetarians love them.
Have been going since it opened and through several ownerships. The food is great and the ambiance superb. It's cozy and intimate. New years Eve seemed busier than I have ever seen it and it was great because it was vibrant, not totally quiet. The food was excellent and I can't wait to go back again soon.
We picked a night that it was not busy. The service was good, attentive, and appropiate for the ocassion. The food was prepared to our satisfaction and served warm/hot. Don't be concerned about my 4 of 5 star ratings.... This restaurant was a fine place to have a special meal with friends or family. I have only every awarded 5 stars to one restaurant in my life. That was a specialty restaurant in Hong Kong. It was a large group gathering and the service, food, atmosphere were excellant.
I am so glad you ask because I did want to let you know about two problems I had. The server was great but she handed items across in front of another person to people at our table. It was not a good gesture and one that I notice more than once. Also, the girl who sat our items on the lazy suzan, she actually moved plates over with another plate and had not given any thought to the appearance of the lazy suzan after items were served. I found myself arranging the plates in a presentable way so that guest at our table would enjoy serving themselves. I guess what I am saying is that the appearance of the lazy suzan was not pleasant without major adjustments from myself. This was my 1st visit but I did want to share this with you.
Starter - Lettice wraps and Desert - Bread pudding were both outstanding. What was not up to par were the Sweet and Sour Port and the Chicken Basil. The veggies on both dishes were undercooked and the pork was only breaded on one side. Not what were are used at Sky.
my 3rd time going there, 2nd time eating. menu has no shortage of great sounding items. everything my friends and i have tried there has turned out pretty well. the strongest aspects of Sky are the ambience and service. my only recommendation is that they offer a knife w/ the silverware, not just fork + chopsticks, because some of the chicken needs cutting. no problem, though - we asked for one and got it right away!
The Hotel Lobby is done in beautiful green colors and Asian theme. The hotel rooms which are also painted a matching color complete the look as you go up in the glass front elevator to the restaurant. We were seated in plush black chairs with large size tassels hung on the backs. The tables are spaced apart so you do not feel crowded. This was a first visit and a birthday one as well. The waiter was splendid, the food was good, but best of all was they served two pieces of a large portion cake to our table. It was rich and full of chocolate. Everything was nice but this was the best part of the meal.
Wonderful food, very helpful server. At the end of the meal she suprised us with the fact that some of the things we had ordered were on special that night and our bill was significantly lower than we anticipated. We enjoyed that little surprise and have told everyone we know how great the experience was that night. Thank you.
I enjoyed my experience at Sky, as always. I love taking new people there...as they enjoy the ambiance so much!!! The service is always good too! The wait staff are always professional, personable with a welcoming warm smile, which makes the meal so much more enjoyable! Thanks Sky!
I was disappointed in this dining experienct. The food was mediocre at best . The service was slow. They did bring out our meal at one time but we ordered desert and coffee. They brought the coffee out, ten minutes later they brought out my husbands desert and when he was almost finished they brought out mine. So I sat and watched him eat and then he sat and watched me eat. Not one time did they ask if we would like a coffee refill.
We went to Sky for a special anniversary dinner. We were seated promptly, but then waited for 10 minutes before a server greeted us, which was very disappointing for this restaurant. A substitution was made on a side dish that we ordered, and nothing said to us upon delivery of our food. All in all we were very disappointed in our experience and will re-think our visiting SKY for special occasions in the future. The level of service and attention to customers has diminished since they first opened.
Sadly, a disappointed customer
This was our second visit to Sky and both have been superb--an excellent menu, beautifully prepared. The lobster dumplings were some of the best dumplings we have ever eaten, the walnut shrimp amazing, and my kobe burger was preternaturally exquisite. Our only complaint was the table the hostess seated us at--a small table crammed next to a large oriental head--our waiter, a real professional, moved us to the next table and all was well.
From the moment we walked into the hotel, everyone was friendly and service oriented. The atmosphere in the restaurant was classy but comfortable. The food was excellent and the service was great. The only negative were the prices, although the portions were huge. We too home about 1/3 of each of our meals. I would definitely return. In fact I can't wait to go back.
2 orders of stir fry veggies with tofu were not equal to past like orders. Long on egg plant which was mushy; short on carrots; no snow peas. Veggies, other than eggplant, were too raw with asparagus raw and stringy. An order of Squid salad was excellent. An order of 5 Veggies on rice lacked seasoning. Margarita's were served in bar glasses.
As a strict Vegan/Vegetarian I was thrilled to find meatless options on the menu. When I explained my food restrictions to our server she reasurred me that she understood, being vegetarian as well. I ordered the pad thai and asked that the fish sauce be left out. One bite of pad thai and I knew that my request has not been granted. Very disappointing. This was my 3rd visit and this will not deter me from returning or recommending this restaurant but please respect the wishes of those who do not want to eat the fishes!
