The food and show were amazing as well as the service
Wonderful experience from beginning to end. We were seated right away upon arriving. Our server Derek was top notch. He was very knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations were spot on. We ordered the escargot for our appetizer. It was fabulous. My husband ordered prime rib and I ordered the fish of the day. Halibut with crab and shrimp. The prime rib was the best we’d ever had and the halibut was cooked to perfection. We stayed for the burlesque show which was fantastic. Hands down the best dining experience we have ever had.
Kitchen was very slow and with a 7:15 reservation we did not receive our meals until almost 9 pm. Our server was attentive but just long. Halibut was mushy and clearly very frozen vs fresh. Rack of lamb was good, filet good but for overall quality a bit too $$. Perhaps an off night. It was a Sunday.
Wonderful evening with live jazz music. The food was excellent and service top notch. We never had to wait for anything. Had a nice atmosphere and vibe. We will return.
Been to Nashville many times over the years but this was the first time at Skulls. Should’ve come here way before now. The food and service were outstanding with an atmosphere that was not overbearing and very comfortable. The prime rib was amazing and the seafood was fresh and tasty. The four of us loved everything we ordered from appetizer through dessert. A very unique experience unlike 90% of the other places that all look and feel the same.
Wonderful intimate atmosphere.
Place is cool given its history. Our waitress was very good. Disappointed in the food, way too heavy on the salt content. Wont be returning.
Good was not good. The place is over hyped. Would not recommend at all
Outstanding experience! The food and setvice were exceptional, And the atmosphere was fun and creative. The best lobster bisque I have ever tasted. Not the place to shy away from trying something new. You will love anything you order from the menu. Highly recommended.
Skull was on our list to experience a taste of everything Nashville. Booked a 9:30 reservation on a Sunday night for dinner and the show. Glad we did it. Won’t repeat. Food was old time “ok”. Lobster bisque. “Best in World “ said waiter. Thick, creamy and a bit blah. Needed some spice, acid to enliven it. But I think the kitchen is stuck in the sixties. The meat ball special, huge, enough for four as an appetizer, two for dinner, were dense, covered with a tasty red sauce and smothered with mozzarella cheese. I would not serve them at my house. But probably acceptable to lots a folks. Tasty and very filling.
THE SHOW: that’s the whole reason to be here. So book a reservation about an hour or so before the night you plan dinner. But don’t come expecting a sexy, turn on erotic burlesque! Interesting. Yes. Fun. Yes. I’d call it stylized burlesque. It’s not a turn on. It’s more admiring the ladies can do what their doing. They do do it well. Dessert???? Skip it.
The burlesque show was top notch and the food was incredible. Best pork chop I've ever had.
No blue cheese stuffed olives
Best service and best food in Nashville! Our waitress helped us decide on entrees, and she did not steer us wrong. Great experience all around.
Husband took me here for my birthday dinner. It was awesome! Jazz was great, food and drinks were fantastic. Our server, Maxwell, was amazing. We will definitely be returning. Thanks for such a great evening!
The food is fantastic. It was the best Libster Bisque I have ever had!
Lobster bisque was the best. Cool ambiance and fascinating back story.
Definitely get reservations and plan to stay for the 11:00 burlesque show!
Great spot for a relaxing evening with wonderful live music and tasty food
the food at Skull's is consistently wonderful and the service is always great. It can get a bit noisy but the ambiance of the room is comfortable and familiar. We go as often we can. I am stuck on the Eggplant and crawfish appetizer and the Crawfish and tomato risotto. Absolutely delicious!
I loved the atmosphere and was happy with my meal, however, I wasn’t happy about being seated in the bar, especially because I put my reservations so far in advance. The Burlesque Show afterwards wasn’t good to say the least! They need to approve it. The girls weren’t very skilled and need to be in better shape. (Sorry to say that, but it’s not about the size, it’s about the tone and shape). The service was pretty slow as well. Birthday wasn’t acknowledged.
Always an amazing dinner. Brought some out of town coworkers out for a nice dinner and wanted to give them a local experience. The atmosphere was perfect
This restaurant was all that the reviews said and more. The food was cooked to perfection and the wait staff were excellent. Would recommend not missing this when your in Nashville.
This is a hidden gem, I walked by this place for 5 years and finally walked in and discovered some amazing music and food.
We rolled into town merely hours before and I made a reservation here 3 weeks before we set off for this trip. I highly recommend making a reservation. We ended up changing our reservation once we found out we would miss the burlesque show on Sunday. They graciously accomadeted us. It was well worth it. The food was impeccable. The service top notch. I have a cantankerous allergy to squash which happened to be the vegetable of the day. The owner personally came to our table and recommended several options so that I would ruin my romantic vacation on night one! His choice was amazing. My husband had the duck and I the Beef in Brie. We timed our reservation so that by the time we received dessert the show started. It was amazing and intimate. The Alley
Cats band was amazing and continued to play after the show ended. It was an amazing night and a great way to kick off our stay in Nashville. I can or recommend this place enough.
Great food and service. We were over dressed
We celebrated a retirement of a coworker. The staff, the atmosphere, and the food were all outstanding.
We found this gem on our last trip to Nashville! The food is amazing, music was great and overall we just love it!
The live music was outstanding and the food was delicious! Lovely atmosphere.
My only compliant would be that my friends and I sampled several bottles of red wine and agreed that we didn’t like any of them.
I spent my 30th here with friends and it was FANTASTIC! We had a BLAST! The food was phenomenal!!
Unique Dinning & Entertainment Experience. Well trained and personable staff with delicious food offerings. Dinners will experience a boisterous crowd as the hour approaches the " Main Event " but it adds to the rooms ambience.
Not the place for a quiet bite or business presentation but Fun & Tasty with an eclectic crowd.
All good was not expecting the show
Everything was excellent. Would recommend people google Skulls Rainbow Room and read about the history in advance as this would make the experience even more inspiring. No complaints, in fact we wish we lived in Nashville just so we could go again. It is expensive but worth every penny.
Enjoyed a night out at Skull's with a friend and really enjoyed ourselves. It is such a gem with an amazing ambiance and rich history. The food is absolutely amazing - I had the beef en croute and was not disappointed. The craft cocktails are amazing too! Will definitely be back.
Superb service, food and entertainment! I would go again in a heartbeat!
This is our favorite Nashville restaurant. We tried the Rack of Lamb and the Pork Chop. Both were outstanding. The service is excellent and the ambience is that of a high end supper club. Add great entertainment to the mix. Skulls is a must do!
We started with the tuna tartare which was amazing. I got the lamb which was cooked to Perfection and delicious. My husband got the scallops which were also amazing. My only complaint is I wish the menu was a little bit more creative when it came to sides and pairing Food flavors and textures. We are Foodies and work in the service industry. Don't get me wrong the mashed potatoes and Ratatouille were delicious but I just personally feel like that should not come with every meal or you should be able to have a selection of sides. Overall though everything was great and I would definitely visit again. Also when serving the water at the table it should have ice in it some people like warm tap water but I do not I like ice water.
This place has so much character. Food was delicious. Service was excellent.
