Skull's Rainbow Room is a tribute to David "Skull" Schulman and the former fine dining establishments of Nashville's historic Printers Alley. Chef Gannon Leary's critically acclaimed menu showcases a continental twist on American classics. Premium cocktails and an eclectic beer and wine list complement the award winning cuisine. Skull's pays homage to the entertainment of yesteryear with burlesque and live music. Etta James, Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Waylon Jennings, Joni Mitchell, Jerry Lee Lewis, and comedian Andy Griffith have all graced the original checkerboard stage.

The best parlour ever! Not a dull moment and definitely beats any bar on the strip, and that's truly a fact. Will return for sure!

We enjoyed being there - wish that music would have started at 6pm - we had to leave for the Ryman before it got started. Also, the server didn't offer any dessert - if dessert is even an option, but it wasn't indicated. The food was good - very good - but would offer crostini or lite bread as an option with soup.

We were very surprised by how much we enjoyed this restaurant. The food was fantastic, the ambience was unique and we really enjoyed the live music. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone for a date night or special occasion.

We have been to Skulls many times & absolutely love it! But this time, we were very disappointed. The food is awesome but the true experience is the entertainment provided by Madam Hazel, her girls & her band.
The food, though very enjoyable, was not enough to keep us coming back. The new band & the two dancers that ran the show were a far cry from what we experienced in Nov & Dec.
We were so disappointed that I canceled our reservations for the next night. Didn’t care to see that show again but we would have been every night if Hazel was still in employ there.
Thank you Skulls! It was fun while it lasted.
#Searching for Hazel Jones!

Anyone visiting downtown Nashville does not want to miss going to Skulls. The food was incredible! Prime Rib, Filet, Duck and my favorite was the Double Pork Chop. The handcrafted cocktails were phenomenal especially the manhattans. The restaurant is located in a cool backstreet area called Printers Alley. Do not miss this extraordinary restaurant.

Dined on Valentines Day so they had a smaller menu available but all good choices and a variety. Food was very good, except steak was on the fatty side. Service was good. We dined early (5:30) so restaurant was not yet busy but quickly filled up as we were leaving. Would definitely try again.

WOW! I am making my rounds with places to review online because I can not tell people enough what an absolutely incredible time my boyfriend and I had here. I wish I had more than 5 stars.

I had made an 'early valentines day' reservation on OpenTable due to the fact my boyfriend and I would both be working on Valentines. We made a note in the reservation, just as a joke honestly, that that is the reason why we made them on Tuesday night. When we arrived, the host had asked us where we worked and wished us a happy Valentines Day.

Our server, Nikki (I THINK?) was incredible. Knew everything on the menu, answered all of our questions, and was absolutely amazing. She knew all about the cocktails and helped us decide on what to order. Food came out fast and hot. Might I add that the mashed potatoes were
phenomenal. We were BLOWN AWAY by the kindness and hospitality of the entire staff. She had brought us a small dessert that was also top notch.

We had payed, left, and gone next door (whatever the trash place is directly next to Skulls) We were greeted very rudely, it was busy, and very trashy. We came right back into Skulls and sat at the bar for a few more drinks and the night just kept getting better.

The two bartenders that night were amazing. When we asked what there was around Nashville that was also as great as their location, the bartender (Brandon? Bryan? Something along those lines. Very handsome taller bar tender) had HAND WRITTEN a note saying exactly what he recommended and why. We enjoyed the live music and spent a few more hours at the bar.

We haven't shut up about this date since and my boyfriend and I both agreed we will be spending every holiday celebration at Skulls from now on.

Couldnt be more grateful.

Cool Ambiance with terrific music. I loved the atmosphere. It seems like a previous speakeasy. The food was delicious. The tuna tar tar was delicious but the portion size was small. I would recommend the eggplant! That was out of this world!!

I would recommend to make a reservation beforehand.

Our 2nd visit. Our first time there was the same time last year. We live several hours away and were in Nashville for a conference. The food was just as memorable as last year! Same fantastic quality! The music was phonominal! Laura the vocalist was there from last year! We love her! We dream about coming back to Skull's throughout the whole year! Can hardly wait until next year! Wish we lived closer,

I have always heard wonderful things about Skull's. I finally got a chance to go and it was fantastic. The live Jazz was great and made the atmosphere perfect. The food was spectacular to say the least. My date and I ordered the cheese plate and a couple signature cocktails to start. Very good spread for any fellow cheese lovers. I had the lamb for my main course and she had the duck. Both were cooked to perfection. We left full and with smiles on our faces. I would highly recommend it. It is on the more expensive side, but you won't leave feeling like you overpaid.

My friend and I were visiting from Denver and Kansas City, and found the food here to be outstanding! The prime rib was melt-in-your-mouth tender and the chop was enormous, juicy and wonderfully flavored - delicious! The only negatives were that every time the door opened, it created a gust of cold air, and the music was loud enough that it was difficult to have a conversation, but overall, it was a very enjoyable dining experience!
