Ski Tip Lodge Ratings and Reviews
The staff was as wonderful as the food. It was just a few days before our 18th wedding anniversary and when we retired to one of the sitting rooms by the fire for coffee and dessert, our server brought out a large plate decorated with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate around our dessert selection. They also modified the dessert a little to meet our request, which my wife was very happy with. A very cozy and wonderful dining experience.
Ski Tip Lodge was a wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary. The staff were friendly and professional. The food was fabulous--unique but not so unusual that you wondered what you were eating--well prepared and presented beautifully. We will come back here more often!!!
Ski Tip is a quaint, authentic, treasure! This dining adventure captures the best Keystone has to offer from the past and present, and offers an elegant experience with casual, rustic, understated Colorado charm you won’t find elsewhere.
super cozy; great service; great wine list with very knowledgeable wine steward full of interesting stories. pre- and post-dinner fireside lounges are great for drinks, coffee, and/or desserts. Always on my list of places to eat when at/near Keystone!
By far, this restaurant exceeds expectations every time. The staff is amazing and so knowledgeable, they will blow you away with their excellent, friendly service. We dine here as often as we are able. Very highly recommend reservations far in advance.
I simply can't say enough good things about Ski Tip! I feel so lucky that I got to eat there with my family for Christmas Dinner. It was the best Christmas dinner ever. Everything was done to perfection. We enjoyed everything we ordered, the bread was outrageously good and I could have just filled up on that and the charcuterie plate with housemade goodies. We ordered scallops and tenderloin - truly outrageously good. We're from Chicago - we're picky - we know good food. This food was so great that I had to ask how many Michelin stars did they have! Of course, dessert was divine and then, out come home made truffles - I'm in love! And, even though we had a 5 year old in tow - everyone was so NICE to us. We were the noisiest and most festive table which made it even more special if that's possible. Thanks, Todd - you were so wonderful and made us feel welcome and cared for. Can't wait to ski again in Keystone just to eat here again! Many blessings and Happy 2018 to the team at Ski Tip - hope we meet the Chef next time, too! Peace!
Most of the staff has been there for many years--a good sign of management. The sommelier was exceptionally knowledgeable about wines (either that, or he was just telling stories, and I don't know enough to know better!). The ambience was quiet, warm, conducive to conversation. We didn't feel rushed. Great service. Fun time, and fabulous food that didn't leave me weighed down. The flavors were awesome, the food was fresh, and I felt satisfied without feeling too stuffed.
My husband & I have been coming to the Ski Tip Lodge for our anniversary or A date near Christmas for the last 8 years. The food is exceptional. Service impeccable. And NOTHING beats dessert served by the fireplace. The sommelier is very knowledgeable and helpful. I love their focus on local wines & meats. This year, they treated us to a prosecco toast & dessert plates with “Happy Anniversary” written on them for our anniversary. This place is an incredible treat that I get very excited to go to every year!
Wonderful historic spot. The Sommelier was awesome, but the food was lacking for the price. My husband had the short rib which was very fatty. I had the lamb which was little meat, tough and also fatty. For the price, I would expect the highest quality food. The service was impeccable along with the ambiance.
Very quaint mountain lodge with excellent food and wine. Has a great European feel. I would highly recommend this to anyone with fine dining on the mind. Note- it’s a fixed price multi course dinner for everyone. The choices are all great but don’t go expecting to get “just a salad”. Waitstaff is super professional and experienced they all did a great job.
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. He said it was top three dinners he’s ever had (he’s a foodie from Chicago), but hands down the best service and coziest atmosphere he’d ever experienced. We loved our time here. I was a bit nervous about not seeing the menu ahead of the time, because we only eat fish protein, but they had fish options for each course. Worked out perfectly!
I went to ski tip Lodge based on its reviews. All the reviews were so wonderful that I thought wow I should really try this place. Well the food was just good, the portions were extremely small and I definitely think there are better places in town than this for your value as well as the ambiance. If you like limited options and dishes that are a little bit Exquisite this is probably the place for you I'm more of a steak and potato kind of girl.
Historic, charming building with a comfortable dining room and fantastic lounge areas to relax before and after your meal. Excellent spot for special occasions, the food was perfect and well presented. An extensive wine list with sommeliers to assist in selection and pairing. The service was attentive but not intrusive. I heartily recommend Ski Tip Lodge!
The kitchen and staff at STL continue to amaze and exceed expectations. We are able to visit perhaps 5-6 times per year and have NEVER been disappointed. Most of the waitstaff and sommeliers have been serving us for over 10 years, some almost 20. They love what they do to provide a superb dining and wine experience, and we are the beneficiaries. Thank you STL.
We have been frequenting the Ski Tip Lodge for dinner since 2005 and have never been disappointed. The service is always first class and the food is routinely as good or better than we have found anywhere. The menue is prix fixe, but with varied options for each of the four courses. The chef is flexible and can accommodate special diet requests. The wine list is extensive and the sommelier is very knowledgeable and helpful with selections. The restaurant is small and intimate, and the atmosphere is charming. We will return again (and again and again and again...).
Went with the wife.
The bread was wonderful
The soup was wonderful
The appetizer was wonderful
The main course for my wife was wonder
The main Course for me was t bone lamb. Unfortunately the lamb was as tough as rubber. I was very let down. I didn’t say anything to the waiter because I was hungry and didn’t want to make a scene.
The desserts were wonderful.
Service, ambiance perfect!
It may have been a fluke or an off day for the chef. I’d definitely return.
We went to Ski Tip Lodge for dinner on my Birthday. The service was excellent. The food was all very good - it was a 4 course meal for $80. After drinks, tax and tip for 2 people it came to $300 so, it's a special occasion place for sure. All of the food was excellent, I'd definitely say it's a "Foodie Restaurant". It's a pretty small place so, it's not loud, more on the quiet side. We liked it and would go back next time we're in Keystone.
The Ski Tip Lodge Restaurant is a one of a kind experience in food, ambiance, service, and location for all the right reasons. The staff take the time to ensure they know your taste and preferences. They were all completely welcoming, accommodating and professional. Mercedz greeted us with grace and CindyLu informed us on the menu with waiting attentiveness. The best service you could ask for from an incredible place to eat. Our four course meals were outstanding! They have two sommeliers, Megan Morgan and Kurtis Hammann with incredible knowledge and skill at finding the right wine from their extensive list. Andy's menu was superb! We had Duck, Elk, Wild Boar, Snapper, Mussels, Pork Belly, and so much more. All had incredible flavor!
