Ski Tip Lodge Ratings and Reviews
Went with the wife.
The bread was wonderful
The soup was wonderful
The appetizer was wonderful
The main course for my wife was wonder
The main Course for me was t bone lamb. Unfortunately the lamb was as tough as rubber. I was very let down. I didn’t say anything to the waiter because I was hungry and didn’t want to make a scene.
The desserts were wonderful.
Service, ambiance perfect!
It may have been a fluke or an off day for the chef. I’d definitely return.
We went to Ski Tip Lodge for dinner on my Birthday. The service was excellent. The food was all very good - it was a 4 course meal for $80. After drinks, tax and tip for 2 people it came to $300 so, it's a special occasion place for sure. All of the food was excellent, I'd definitely say it's a "Foodie Restaurant". It's a pretty small place so, it's not loud, more on the quiet side. We liked it and would go back next time we're in Keystone.
The Ski Tip Lodge Restaurant is a one of a kind experience in food, ambiance, service, and location for all the right reasons. The staff take the time to ensure they know your taste and preferences. They were all completely welcoming, accommodating and professional. Mercedz greeted us with grace and CindyLu informed us on the menu with waiting attentiveness. The best service you could ask for from an incredible place to eat. Our four course meals were outstanding! They have two sommeliers, Megan Morgan and Kurtis Hammann with incredible knowledge and skill at finding the right wine from their extensive list. Andy's menu was superb! We had Duck, Elk, Wild Boar, Snapper, Mussels, Pork Belly, and so much more. All had incredible flavor!
Incredible service! Incredible food and wine. The wine selection was huge and sommelier's had great recommendations and knew every wine beyond a T! The food courses were incredible, the boar squash soup was awesome. The scallop appetizer was explosive with flavor, the beef tenderloin filet was one of the best ever, coming from a filet loving group. The duck was cooked perfect and tasted like that duck had a great life. Dessert by the fire was cute and fun. Thanks for a great time!
Celebrated our 29th anniversary. Thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the Ski Tip Lodge. It's tucked away in a beautiful setting. We dined during the shoulder months of ski season so it may have been just a little quieter than usual. Very nice for a special occasion.
What a wonderful find! This is a nice change of pace from the Main St. restaurants in Breckenridge. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, and the ambiance of the restaurant reinforces the quality service they provide. The dinner was fantastic, with a weekly changing menu that is creative yet varied enough to meet almost everyone's desires. The staff is very knowledgeable and welcoming, a must visit for a special occasion or just looking for a dinner experience.
We had a lovely evening, first with a delicious Spanish Cava on the patio overlooking the Snake River and then a wonderful California Zinfandel to accompany our beautiful entrees. The wait staff was attentive but allowed us to converse without interruption. Our sommelier explained the wines perfectly and was extremely knowledgeable. We enjoyed our evening extremely and our friends said they have the best coffee to accompany the dessert.
Absolutely incredible dining experience. The menu was fresh, incentive and quirky. The expertise is second to none from staff, and the entire experience is delicious, entertaining, and immersive. The location cannot be beat and eating there is an experience one will remember forever.
Our 6th+ visit, as always incredible! Megan is awesome regards her wine pairings (Curtis was out this night otherwise he's also a rock star) and enjoyed the evening. Took friends with us for their first Ski Tip experience and they loved it!!!
For Is spectacular and wine pairings are incredible!
The food, service and ambiance are all first class. What is especially nice is having dessert served in the lounge in overstuffed chairs in front of the fire. The Ski tip is a hidden gem among the much larger and commercial restaurants in this ski resort. We have dined here several times over the last 20 years and have never been disappointed.
Ski Tip Lodge is our favorite restaurant in Summit County and as usual everything was exceptional with regard to food, service, and ambiance. We especially appreciated the information on the various wines from Curtis. He listened to what we were leaning toward and took that into consideration along with our entree selections. The wine he recommended paired perfectly which made our meal that much more enjoyable.
One of our favorite places - have been there many times. Service was excellent as usual, but the food was not quite up to expectations based on our past experiences. The soup and the appetizer/salad courses were outstanding. However, the entrees were not exceptional. The fish choice was very dry, and the beef tenderloin was indeed tender, however, the pepper seasoning was extremely heavy. Also, the portions seemed smaller than we remembered.
The food was excellent and our waiter was very attentive and informative. The feel of stepping back into the past with the rich history of the area was inspiring. We especially loved having a quiet romantic time in front of the massive fireplace for desert. Wish we could go every week to explore their weekly change in menu. Definitely worth the price!!
Wonderful dining experience...quite possibly the best I have ever had. Food was infallible, presentation was perfect and wine was wonderful. I will come back every time I visit Keystone. A new standard (well, actually it is an old standard) has been set for fine dining. I wish other fine restaurants would get on board. First we had cocktails in the living room. The Tomato Basil Martini was refreshing and satisfying. Next we were moved tot he dining room. The waiter discussed the Appetizers in great detail and gave us plenty of time to order. The whole meal ha to be ordered at the same time. The Summer squash soup was light and refreshing. The chicken and rice soup was hearty and soulful. It is made with a roux, so this elevates the taste significantly more so than a creamy base. The Texas Boar or the Steak did not disappoint as main dishes. The wine pairing is what really boosted the main course over the top. The education of the Somm was impressive, yet also approachable. It was like an old friend who had a wealth of wine knowledge was at our table. Finally, we moved back into the living room/salon with a crackling fire for dessert. Here we were given a list of choices, then the Som m came by to give his wine recs. The dessert was as delicious as the meal. I can't wait to come back again!!
