Skewers Mediterranean Grille Ratings and Reviews
Having been to some very excellent restaurants, Skewers was pretty good. Simple things can so often make big impressions. So, just to help, make sure all the light bulbs are lite. Kinda looked like, no big deal, but it made that front part of the windows by the front entrance look like no one cared. Our reservations were at 7:oo pm and when seated I saw our water had already been poured and menus placed across the plates. Nice touch, but simple that made a good impression. Our food was a little cool. Any cooler and I would have asked for it to be heated up. The food, which was a lite side kabob of veggies and meat, over a bed of jasmine rice with very thinly sliced zucchini, summer squash, and carrots. Tasted great, and the meat you could cut with your fork. The veggies on the kabob were sparse, needed some more in my opinion. Service by Ken was excellent, very courteous, and made sure we were taken care of
the entire evening. We went to celebrate our 47 years of marriage and overall did enjoy our evening. Thank you Ken and thank you Skewers and all the people that helped in whatever way
Made a renovation and our table was ready when got there wth waters already there! Our server was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. The only criticism I have is that the food runners seemed to be in a rush and was a little quick on dropping off our plates and grabbing ones we were not quite finished with. Other than that 5 star dining experience thank you!
We have been going to Skewer's for years now (+10). Both the food and the service have always been fabulous. A couple observations: make sure you make reservations because they do get busy. Parking can also be a challenge at times, although there is parking in adjacent office complexes.
My Family loves Skewers. The food is excellent. We eat extremely healthy and don't go to out for dinner very often. The desserts are above average and meals are always served hot and to perfection. Our waitress was a delight, very happy and upbeat. We will be back soon!
Although we have been here before and did enjoy it, this time was not so good. We were a table of 4 celebrating a wedding blessing. We ordered the sampler appetizer, which was good, but our salads arrived when we had just begun the appetizer. This changed the mood because we now felt rushed even though the waitress appologized and said that we were not being rushed. The meals arrived and everyone was satisfied. The desserts were delicious. The wine was OK.
The noise level was atrocious!!!! So loud that we could not carry on a decent conversation. Service was good.
Food and service were excellent. Entertainment was way over the top. Music was obnoxiously loud. Could not have a conversation. Did not enjoy the entertainment. Speaker was right over our table asked to have it turned down server said she could not turn it down. Had to sit through 2 sessions of this. Not happy.
We were promptly seated by our friendly hostess. Asked about beverages and were give a detailed description of the evenings specials. We had questions about the items on the menus and they were addressed very well. Food was excellent. At pm the belly dancer came around, it was loud but enjoyable, only lasted 15 minutes.
I would recommend this restaurant to friends.
The service was surprisingly slow. The restaurant didn't seem especially busy, but we went a long time in between each visit by the waitress... to order drinks, food, to get the bill, etc. The wait for the food was normal, but there were a minor few mistakes (feta cheese on a salad when it was requested to be left off, etc.). Also, the jasmine rice wasn't as heavenly as it usually is. A touch of salt improved the taste though, and despite the misses of our evening, we'll definitely still be back. Everyone has an off night. <3
Sad experience. Food was disappointing, pita bread cold and stale, salad just lettuce with a little bit of feta crumbled over it, calamari very soft and baked in old grease, child had to wait 1 hour for plain rice, my entree was cold, shrimp and steak. Could see in kitchen the entire time, cooking stuff wore street clothing, long hair etc. Music for belly dancer at 7.00 pm so loud all conversations had to end.
They must have been really short staffed the night we went. With a 7:30pm reservation, we weren't seating until 8:00pm. We decided to sit at the bar while we waited but were never served. The staff said they didn't have anymore glasses to serve us! Then we were seated directly in front of the kitchen door that opened and closed every few seconds and shined the kitchen light into our eyes. We asked to change tables and were accommodated. After moving, one plate and silverware weren't brought over, so my guest had to wait a long time to eat our appetizer. After about 10 minutes of watching us eat, she was finally brought silverware and a plate. I would go again because this isn't normal; however, my guest who had never been there before said she wouldn't be back.
The food was delicious as usual :-)
