Requested a table for five, but got a very crowded table for 4 with an extra place setting. It diminished our dining pleasure. Also requested recognition for our mother's 99th birthday which was totally overlooked. Food and service was good, though.

My request for a window seat can true so that added to the experience. It has been a while since I was last here and I was very happy with the food and service. One of my favorite places. This was a family brunch and everyone was very happy.

We had excellent service, delicious food, and the best table in the house! Our waiter had just the right timing, and the manager/somalier was great! Thanks for a delightful family lunch!

We have dined here numerous times. Once again, we had excellent service, an amazing view, and absolutely delicious food. I ordered the entree seafood salad. It was beautiful to look at, and a pleasure to eat. My wife ordered the seared tempura ahi.it was superb. We will be back!

The service was good, the food was good however the clam chowder was just warm. Comparing it to a few years ago, the restaurant has declined in food quality some. This was lunch. Still a good place to view the bay and SF skyline.

Skate is one of these restaurants that one visit can be fantastic, food was great and service was wonderful. Another visit can be completely opposite, food came out cold and can go an hour without seeing your server. It all depends on the day.

Four of us had dinner at Skates. Beautiful view from our table, great service. Our steelhead salmons were excellent. Two of us had lobster bisque as appetizer, good but not as superb as last time. Sashimi ah tuna salad was also great.

Food and service were excellent. View is spectacular! We arrived just at sunset, were seated at a window table. The Golden Gate and Bay bridges were visible on the horizon as the lights of downtown San Francisco began to come on. Sailboats passed the window on their way back to the local pier. Perfect evening!

Nothing better than being served rancid butter with your lobster. Ugh! The Prime Rib was perfect except when the rancid butter spoiled it. My wife’s Seafood Bucatini was overcooked. The service was great, but could not make up for the kitchen problem.

The service here is very poor, we waited for about 15 before anyone came to take our order, then another 30 for our drinks which were beer & wine. We tried to order entree’s after our appetizer, but after another 30 minutes we had to ask where it was only to discover our order had not been placed. We just asked for the check at this point. I’ve been going to this restaurant for years and the last 2 times the service has been horrible. Not sure what’s going on but I’m hopeful it will change.

The food was good, portions sufficient, and atmosphere good (table overlooking the Bay). The only thing I felt grousy about was that they tacked on some kind of second 3% charge that had to do with the cost of paying their staff a living wage.
They should just raise the prices 3% and add a note: "3% of your bill goes to the staff."

Went here for my 40th birthday and the service was impeccable. I put a request for a window seat and they accommodated with a beautiful table with a view of the Bay. They even remembered to sing happy birthday to me and provided a deeeelush custard.

Gorgeous view of the bay. Oysters were amazing and the drinks were great. The best drink was the Tropical Mojito. It was so amazing we got a second one. The waiter was super nice. We then watched the sunset from the walk path around the marina. Amazing night.

We had great brunch and celebrated my wife birthday. The staff was attentive and provided creame brûlée’s for birthday gal. We were seated at corner table with views of both Bay and Golden Gate Bridge. We would recommend both food and ambience excellent.

Great views, food yummy but we were seated close to a door near bathrooms and the smell from the air freshener wafted to our table several times. We finally asked to be moved. Also they cranked the air conditioning and people everywhere were trying to warm up. So ambiance is really my only negative.

The bill paying took one hour because of mixed up charges. Free Key lime special for pi days March 11-15 was a hassle. And use of our points resulted in our paying $3. Fortunately for me, I had to leave for an appointment and left my husband to deal with the hassle.

Coho Salmon delicious, fish & chips with a substitution scrumptious. We're very appreciative of everyone's attention. Thank you!

The clam chowder was a bit weird and three items I had where sprinkled with some sort of Granola topping - overkill on that. You go here for the view I guess, maybe not so much for the food. How sad though to fall so short on that part!

With the Open Table reservation, we were seated by a window. And it was a lovely sky with storm clouds and sun and with sailboats and birds on the Bay.

Inventive cocktails. Good choices from the Raw Bar. Good choices for the seafood specialties.

And we always finish the meal by sharing a caramel corn sundae.
