Nordstrom Grill – Christiana Mall Newark Ratings and Reviews
The food was good and the location is convenient. The service was horrible. Not sure what the issue was with the young lady who attended to our table. She showed an attitude seemed to not care and never followed up with us to find out if we were ok. She does not need to attend to people.
The restaurant is located in the cut of the store. At first glance it looks like a diner, more than a restaurant. The food is very good though and isn't diner food. The food is good but due to the bland look, I couldn't recommend this place to anyone. The food is good but not that good.
Eat at this cafe on a regular basis and have had a number of menu items many times so I know when things are off with a meal. Onion Rings ordered as an appetizer were good as usual. My husband's turkey and avocado club was great. My warm spinach and salmon salad was not; salmon was dry and over-cooked unlike on many other occasions. I ate the spinach and left the picked over salmon. I did inform our server and she replied that she'd wished I'd let her know; I just did. Definitely a miss with this visit.
Food was good but service was disappointing. Slow to come back to the table to check on us despite there not being many customers. Booked the reservation as a birthday, but my wife was never congratulated or had the birthday mentioned in any way
Delicious food, wonderful service, delightful atmosphere. They change the menu here from time to time which is nice because while you do fall in love with some favorites it is fresh and new all the time letting you find new favorites! We have been here many times and have never been disappointed!
It has become a tradition to take mom to Nordstrom on Mother's Day for some shopping and a late lunch. She had some champagne and a light salad. I had a beer and the crab mac and cheese. We had a nice 90 minute visit and everyone was happy! I'd gladly make it a yearly tradition.
We celebrated my mom's 65th birthday on January 5th. The food was excellent and the service was great. I can always count on this restaurant to come through when you want to go somewhere special and experience tasty food. The staff was very friendly and made my mom's day very special. Keep up the great work.
Our server was excellent, however, the food was very poor. The 'soup of the day', asian sweet potato, was tasteless and underseasoned, needing a lot of salt. The appetizer shortrib sliders that I ordered contained a thumbnail size piece of meat and had no 'melted cheddar cheese' as written on the menu (I ended up eating just the bottom of the brioche bun, discarding the top because there was NO MEAT)....the restaurant should be ashamed of serving such sub-par food and especially charging $10.50! I was hoping to make this a friends-get-together or future business meeting, but, in my experience this will not be happening. I am strongly NOT recommending Nordstrom Grill as a dining destination at the Christiana Mall.
Sixth & Pine is a hidden gem on the second floor of Nordstrom in the Christiana Mall. The food is good! I mean really good. All of the salads are tasty. Their sweet potato fries with cilantro dipping sauce, regular fries with horseradish aioli, and turkey chili are delicious!
Food was quite good-- I had the homemade black bean burger special and my husband had the turkey avocado sandwich. The downside was that despite the restaurant not being busy that afternoon, our sandwiches took 35 minutes to arrive. We weren't in a hurry but this seemed quite excessive for a couple of sandwiches.
I tried the restaurant for the first time and really enjoyed the meal at lunch. I had A wonderful strawberry chicken walnut salad and my daughter had a chicken Caesar, both super. We tried the sweet potato fries which were served with a wonderful dipping sauce. Great service and a gem I'm glad we tried.
Mother's day with a reservation. Restaurant not full. Noise level for such a small place was too high. Service was ungodly slow. The waitress made excuses for the fact that it took over an hour to get us our food. Other came in after us and were eating or were finishing. I think she forgot to put the food order in or the kitchen was just pathetic. Needless to say for three sandwiches, it should never have taken that long. If it does take that long, then offer something in the form of a dessert or coffee or something. I can only say that the food was very good. We were impressed with the flavor and presentation. I will try it again, I just hope that they get their service straightened out.
