The service was great and the staff was friendly. The food on the other hand was spectacular the use of different flavors was really well done and I loved the use of unique ingredient.
We have been coming to 16 for the last 8 years and have had many many fine dining experiences. When I got the email that the restaurant would be changed and they would no longer be doing the themed tasting menus we decided to make a special trip from Rochester MI to treat ourselves to one last great meal and an overnight at Trump International. The hotel was of course superb. My only real complaint is that there was no pricing for the wine pairing. Unless specifically listed as a “supreme” pairing I have never had one that was 20% more than the 16 course menu. WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INFORMED!! Especially when several courses the pairings were with shared courses. I’m not a millionaire - we just used a good portion of our vacation budget on $600 worth of wines and spirits.
For the wine pairing, same wines were repeated on two different occasions. Not sure if this is the best value for money. Just order a bottle of nice wine and skip the wine pairing! Not worth it!
The food was excellent. The service was impeccable. It was expensive but we had what we paid for.
It was an amazing chef’s tasting menu for lunch
Amazing birthday breakfast for my girlfriend
Excellent high end gourmet dining experience. Wine pairings where truly exquisite. Expensive (which is to be expected), but note that the advertised prices do not include service or taxes.
We were visiting from out of town and wanted to try a Michelin rated restaurant. We had heard great reviews for this place. We thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu which was the legacy menu. Each course was a mini surprise of flavors, textures and artfully presented. The ambience was quiet, good outlook to chicago’s Downtown with wall to ceiling windows. We were seated by the window. Service was impeccable, friendly. Each time a new dish was served, the ingredients and composition were explained. We did not do any wine pairings but all the other tables did. Our favorite dishes had sweet components (appetizer rhubarb snacks, and the desserts). We learned that Sixteen was closing down at the end of the month and being reconfigured to a new concept which I’m sure will still bring in crowds.
Amazing restaurant. Food and service were second to none. The views are spectacular. It is great.
We were there for a late lunch, so it was probably quieter than usual, but the food and service was amazing. The carrot cake for dessert was truly a show stopper!
Very enjoyable experience. Quality service and excellent food. Went with tasting menu and nothing disappointed.
Breakfast was good, although slightly overpriced. Service was excellent. View was outstanding. Overall a pleasant way to start the morning.
Amazing! Excelent food
Everything was perfect! The food , the service , the view, the only thing I did not like was the people going in , looking around and getting out.
The food is interesting and artful. Hard to say delicious but definitely refined. The decor looks like The Donald picked it out himself. Nothing goes together. The floor covering resemble a Las Vegas convention center, the orange wood paneling is a throwback to the early 90s. The wait staff seem confused. If I were the Chef, I would be looking for a new venue.
The food is awful. It is the worst Michelin star restaurant I have ever had. None of the dishes is delicious. The view is great but it is not worth 250 dollars per person.
I would recommend it if you have a lot of extra money to spend. I went for a birthday and my bf complained about the food the entire night. It was not worth $736 I paid. He was still hungry afterwards.
Excellent food and service! All of the components of the tasting menu we great but my favorite was the Peking Duck. The view was also a bonus. Highly recommend!
Two stars from the Michelin Guide could grow to three as the dishes here are beautiful, delicious and truly special. Expensive, but that's to be expected. Politics should not keep diners from enjoying this excellent Trump Tower restaurant. In warm weather, the outdoor terrace is fabulous, with terrific views over the river and the lakefront.
Amazing food! Fantastic service! Out of this world view! Great attention to detail!
The food was actually very well done. I’ve ordered the lunch course menu and it was overall satisfying. I would say the hanger steak was a little tough but that was to be expected. I was actually hoping the brunch buffet was still going on but apparently that was discontinued on January.
I would probably drop by again for lunch during the summer when the outside area opens up.
very quiet and elegent dishes
It was a memorable dinner tab Sixteen and the food was exceptional!!! The service was great and made our choices a lot easier!! Would definitely recommend to my friends! 💕
Beautifully presented food, wonderfully flavoured. Excellent value tasting menu for lunch. Wonderful views from 16th floor.
Horrendously expensive !
The experience is not worth the money. Excellent restaurant but there is nothing magical in the plate (taste, presentation, ingredients) to match the cost. You end up paying for the service and the location.
Fancy address but not the place for food lovers seeking more than the venue.
Great! I really enjoy the dinner with my daughter and love the view sight!
It’s about average. Not so fancy as others. Good service. Chef’s lunch menu tasted so plain that nothing is worthy of highlighting. Definitely not recommend.
Outstanding! We will most definitely return when in Chicago.
One of the best culinary experiences ever. Have been to many 1, 2 and 3 Michelin star restaurants all around the world and the lunch tasting menu with excellent wine pairings at Sixteen will always remain as a major highlight.
Outstanding service and wonderful food.
The service is excellent and people are friendly. The atmosphere is great for special occasion or dating. Must go place!! Will come back again!!
Charles and staff were excellent. The food was beautifully done and tasted very good. We would definitely come here again for a special occasion!
Impeccable presentation and top-notch service. Both the chef and staff go out of their way to provide a memorable experience. The food was both interesting and delicious.
Impeccable service with impeccable tasting food! What an amazing dinner experience that was truly enjoyable and relaxing. The price for the chef's tasting menu is priced just right. Going back again and again for sure!
This was my favorite restaurant but unfortunately Friday lunch was a big disappointment.
The New Years Eve menu had a price increase over the advertised menu price when I booked the reservation. I was made aware of this change two nights before via a phone call from the restaurant. At that point it was too late to change. I was not happy about this but not much I could do. Besides that, our experience was very good. Service is outstanding. I can't say enough about the staff there were excellent. Dan, our sommelier, was especially helpful. My husband and I enjoyed almost all of the courses. The cauliflower in one course was significantly under cooked and one side that was very salty. The view was beautiful and we were able to see the fireworks from our table. It was a lovely experience.
Not much to say. The food was not worth recounting. There were a few items but far and few. This food tasted like I was at Schwa.
Not a fan.
We had a great bottle of wine from Wren Hop vineyard. We wanted another. No more.
The fact that we were also placed in the dead zone room, in the middle of the floor didn’t help.
Perhaps all the hype about 16 just didn’t live up to it.
Tasting menu not worth the price. Food was good but not good value
As good as before. Love the lunch taste menu!
The service and ambiance was top notch. We had Christmas brunch here on the 25th and the kids loved the reindeer on the roof. Santa and Mrs. Clause were way too young and other obvious things tipped off our 2 and 4 yr old, that they were not the real deal. I would hope that next year they hire proper, much older, more authentic Clauses. The personal gifts for the children, wrapped so cute, were very thoughtful and unexpected. The food was just average. We are hoping for a more creative menu for next Christmas. All in all, we will be back and would recommend Sixteen. You need to just think of the brunch more as an overall experience rather than just a meal, bc the food alone wouldn't make the price worth it. Oh, the harpist was a classy touch we all enjoyed as well.
