The restaurant was amazing - starting with the breathtaking view, the impeccable service, and not to mention, quite a delicious cuisine!
Beyond our wonderful meal, our waiter, Richard, was the icing on the cake- very attentive and friendly. A true 5 star experience!

We loved our lunch at 16. Everything was wonderful and the pre fix lunch was outstanding.

The restaurant was lovely. However, I had made the reservation for the day after the funeral for my brother in law to take my sister into the city for a day to take her mind off of the awful week preceding this day. I had told Sixteen this and asked that they give us a table by the window to make it a nice experience. We were called 10 minutes before our reservation to ask if we were still coming as they were closing the restaurant to the public at the time of our reservation. We told them we had just driven 2 hours to make our reservation and we would be there. As soon as we finished eating they asked us to leave so that they could start filming a pilot TV series. Not the best experience for the money. We felt unwelcome and rushed.

Very expensive but it's what you expect from a french 5 star. From Everest to Alize they're all one in the same so to speak. The new Trump Towers is a specimen in itself and everyone should make the trip once. We'll be back probably for cocktails and maybe dessert.

Overrated - the food was okay - very limited selection - we both ordered fish and it was overcooked - the ambience was nothing all that special

Fantastic...The view and service were top notch. The food was very good. Move over Everest and Charlie Trotters, there's another choice in town.

Our dining experience was amazing! My husband and I took our 16 year-old as well as our 6 year old for lunch. As I said the brunch was phenomenal! But, when the waiter handed me the check it took everything within me to not react to the total, which was $245 (pre-gratuity). We travel extensively, eat in some of the finest restaraunts and I have NEVER been charged $75 per person for a brunch.
We appreciated the staff, location, food selection and everything about Sixteen, but $300 for a lunch/brunch meal will make it impossible to justify returning there to dine again.
Thank you, Dr. Joel & Mashella Johnson

Brought my wife to the hotel for a dinner & overnight to celebrate a special birthday. Truly a great time for dinner. We missed the outside terrace because the weather was too cool, but the view was great. Food was outstanding as was the service. Definitely would come back, but better after weather warms up.

I had requested a table by the window for my husband's birthday dinner and that was not provided for us. The food was okay. Duck was undercooked.

It was a wonderful place to dine. The food was a bit "out there" though. It was interesting and very good, but I won't go back again. I would rather have a nice filet, with a great ceasar salad, glass of wine and simple dessert. Amazing view!!!

AMAZING! We had the most pleasant family dinner to celebrate my mother's 60th. It was spectacular in every particular way. It was so luxurious that my mother called it "like being in heaven." The prix fix with wine pairing was exquisite. Superb!! The chef prepared a special vegetarian prix fix course as well, which was also impressive. The service was impeccable and friendly. The somellier was a charm and not a snob. There really was no better option than 16 for what we were looking for: a special place to celebrate a very special occasion which none of us will EVER forget.
We also had a chance to enjoy Ree bar and the cocktail lounge at 16 while we were waiting to be seated. Awesome cocktails!!

This was our first dining experience at Sixteen. We are fans of fine dining and Sixteen certainly met this expectation. The food was outstanding, the service impeccable and the atmosphere and ambience wonderful. I would strongly recommend to anyone with a penchant for great food and a great experience.

Lunch was more casual and less polished than expected. Overall, the food was good. The salmon with quinoa and spinach was excellent but the other courses were average for a restaurant of this reputation. Service was attentive and courteous but again, less polished than expected. The view at the 16th floor was excellent.

This is dining as it is meant to be. I went to Sixteen while on travel with a few colleague's and we decided on the tasting menu. We were concerned initially because each course was small, however by nights end we were more than satisfied. Every single course was absolutely fantastic, the blend of food and seasoning was esquisite. It was a great evening. Don't expect a quick meal, the courses are timely but slow paced, our dinner was about 2 hours.

We did a price fixed Valentine's menu(incl wine pairings) and the food had great flavors and was different/interesting without feeling like the chef "tried too hard to be fancy".

Overall, we were impressed with the food and the wine pairings.

We had a nice table next to the window, the view was not like anywhere else in Chicago. Not saying it is the best view in Chicago, but it is nice and unique.

Only complaint was the bill. ~$700 (incl tip) for a party of 2 is simply absurd. We didn't do cocktails in advance, did not order bottles of wine, and did not order any differently than we'd normally order.

Could find everything but the unique view elsewhere for half the price~

Service was outstanding, views wonderful - very romantic. Was impressed to see a kids menu and willingness to meet our needs. However, did not find the taste, creativity, and quality of the meal to match the price. Have had better in the Chicago area for a lot less.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The food portions were too small. We got an appetizer, dinner and dessert and still left hungry...so that should give the idea of how small everything was. So small I can't even comment on how the food really tasted. I wised I would've chose a different place to take my boyfriend for his birthday. Total bill for two people ended up being $186 including 2 glasses of wine as well.

The restaurant itself was quiet but there was considerable spillover of loud talking and laughter from a nearby room. We had to shout to talk with each other. It wasn't what I was expecting. A screen of some kind of screen to buffer the interference is needed. I had the tasting menu with wine pairings and it was great. Service wonderful, too.

I wanted to take office admins out for a special lunch - they had earned it! I had made my reservation through OpenTable in advance, and requested single, long-stem red roses, which were provided. (As it happened, it was just before Valentine's Day.) When we arrived, we had a wonderful table with the best view ever: the Wrigley building clock & top of the Tribune Tower, literally at eye level, and that gorgeous not-quite-frozen lake glistening in the sun. About 6 servers were waiting to pull out the 4 chairs at the table for the 3 of us - talk about attentive! The pasta dish, sandwich and foofy non-alcoholic drinks were good. A little less interruption could have been nice, and though expensive, it was a perfect special occasion. Thanks!

This was one of the most disappointing fine dining experiences I have ever had. There was nothing distinguished about the menu, which was surprisingly limited; the bread was not particularly good or flavorful; the service was efficient but robotic, not personalized at all; and the birthday cake take-away was botched. I would not go back and would not recommend it to friends. There are many other fine dining and near-fine dining restaurants in Chicago that do a much better job of providing a positive experience.

The service is quite good and the views are wonderful. But the food was not anywhere up to the par of the surroundings and certainly not the price point. We tried the Tuna and polenta appetizers, which were certainly decent, but the price point did not match. For dinner I had the duck. The whole dish was way, way over salted. Black wild rice way too salty, spinach same, even the duck skin. The pomegranate "sauce" was not a sauce at all and such an afterthought I did not find it until after the first slice of duck was gone. We also got the Lobster, my brother thought it was good, I was not as enamored but am not a big lobster person anyway, it was better than the duck for sure. It is nice that they include some nice extras, a little lobster

Staff was extremely friendly, never pushy or in a rush to get you out the door. They were also very pleasant and personable, not robotic like you find at other upper tier restaurants. They were quick to refill coffee, clear your plate and get you another mimosa! Brunch was all very good, wide variety of different food to choose from and food items were small so you could try everything. My only critique is that I would have liked a little more in terms breakfast items. Overall great atmosphere, great view, great staff, all which made for a great experience! Worth every penny (and it will cost you plenty).

The food at Sixteen lived up to its reputation. However, the service, although friendly and chatty waitstaff, missed the basics - never asked for drink orders, late delivering first course after second course already at table. The restaurant was not busy so I cannot attribute this poor service to overworked staff, just lack of attention.
