   Our 6-course wine dinner this weekend at Six Peaks Grill was Michelin-star quality. Chef Chris Watkins used inventive combinations of ingredients and presentation for an outstanding experience. Also thanks to Carly Stone for her personal touch in the dining room.

   The BEST chef in Truckee/Tahoe. Best staff, gorgeous views, gorgeous location. I can’t rave enough about the whole experience - just Go!!

   We had a wonderful date night dinner. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. Our server Matthew was amazing and contributed to wonderful time.

   Excellent food and service. There were families with noisy kids nearby our table.. once they left, the atmosphere improved.

   Most of our table (7 guys) believed this was going to be a steakhouse. The only good things were the non steak items. The steaks were nothing special. The rabbit and scallops were much better than the steaks. It was just bland and the sauces (butter, chimichurri, Demi-glaze) didn’t make up for that fact.

   Overall the meal was good. The wine and cocktails were excellent. The food was just fine though. I expected much higher quality steaks for the price point. The sides were hit or miss; some great some not so much.

    We've dined here many times in the past, and always been pleased. This time around, my filet mignon was significantly overcooked, despite being ordered medium rare. It left me with the difficult choice of sending it back and waiting while my wife ate her dinner, or proceeding with a less-than satisfying meal. I do appreciate that they didn't end up charging me for it, but it was disappointing nonetheless.
