Wonderful experience in every way! The food was perfectly prepared, drinks were delightful, service was top-notch...the chef even visited our table!
Thank you for joining us, Diane! We are happy to hear you enjoyed your lunch at six.one.six and hope to serve you again in the near future. -six.one.six Management
Food wasn’t very good especially for the price. Way overpriced! Service was not good at all... several times we had to flag down a different server for help. I was very very disappointed especially because I planned this amazing date evening for my husband and honestly I feel like it was a wasted dinner date and a huge waste of time and money. Would not recommend to anyone! In fact a friend asked me the next day how it was and if they should try it out and I said absolutely not!
They did an amazing job with service. Food was excellent.
We have been here several times. This just wasn’t our best experience. The service really suffered, but I understand there was a party that evening. The French onion soup was a bit lacking from its usual delicious flavor. It was just an off night. We otherwise very much enjoy 616.
Service (Brandon), bread and salads were very good. Cassoulet was nearly inedible—undercooked beans, huge chunks of sausage tasting of little other than smoke, no duck in evidence and a leftover lamb chop thrown on the top as an apparent afterthought. I’m hopeful other entrees are better prepared.
This was our first time dining with Six One Six and we were very impressed. We arrived with a party of 4 and had excellent service and food. Our server was very informative and knowledgeable on menu items and made several recommendations to us. Dinner was absolutely delicious and was very prompt. For a Saturday evening, we were surprised at how quiet the venue was but were pleased with the atmosphere. We will definitely be back.
The website makes it seem to be an upper scale type restaurant, and the prices reflect that. If you're looking for a nice sit-down brunch restaurant, this is NOT it. The website states that they have multiple menus, but it's merely a basic, buffet brunch, and quite pricey at that. The food was cold - not room temp, but cold. The wait staff was very pleasant and attentive though. Nice atmosphere, but very loud with lots of children running around making it a chaotic experience. For approximately $30+ per person, I expected something very different. I do not recommend if you're looking for a nicer, sit-down brunch.
It was good, not great. Pricey for what it was. Plenty of competition in the higher priced restaurants. Not sure they live up to the competition. Cold potatoes shouldn’t happen.
It was awesome. Unfortunately my wife’s potassium level tanked (lots of food and rich dessert) and she passed out. Thank you so much for the prompt care and 911 call. Lisa recovered after an overnight hospital stay.
First time we've tried Six One Six for a dining experience, though we've had drinks/dessert in the bar area several times in the past. The ambiance is nice, and the food was quite good. The service was lackluster and it was very noisy. We were celebrating a career milestone for my wife and our server just seemed to be somewhere else. Forgetting part of order and bringing out unapologetically late. Server would ask if we needed anything and start to leave before we even answered. We'll stick with the bar for drinks and desserts and go elsewhere for dinner next time we stay at the JW Marriott.
The menu selection is excellent, but the food is over prepared. Too heavy on the dressings and sauces.
It's too bad since so much of the restaurant and hotel is really special. At the very least, perhaps consider offering a couple of selections that are lighter and leaner.
The only real disappointment was being served a nice glass of red wine in a white wine glass, pretty cheap for a high end restaurant.
Food and service was great! Looking forward to going back again
Six One Six this is a Great place to Dine every one that works there was great had too much fun. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice place to dine the food was excellent
Everything looked and tasted excellent. Atmosphere was radiant. Everyone enjoyed themselves and I was pleased. Thank you for a great ladies night experience.
Overall experience was great, the food was fantastic, Austin (our waiter) was fantastic, drinks were well poured and the price was fair. The restaurant is right next to the bar so it was a little loud to have a calm relaxing conversation with my wife but it wasn't overwhelming. Will definitely visit again.
Friendly service. Exceptional food. Relaxing environment. The salmon was perfect.
Service was amature-ish. Forgotten silverware, forgotten dessert. Slouchy/sloppy/too casual service.
Great food, great service. Outstanding mixed drink offerings as well
This once wonderful restaurant has lost its polish. I’ve been eating here since opening weekend in 2007. Sadly, the service has fallen off, the decor is well worn, and the food is boring. Too many other great options in GR to waste an evening at Six One Six.
Basic execution of French cooking was missing. An over cooked poached egg and trout that lacked acid and salt. Our server was never around to refill our wine. If I’m paying over $200 (with tip), I expect someone to clear the dirty dishes, remove the menus, and pour my drinks. Quite disappointed.
This was a great Valentine's day dinner! Pretty expensive but the ambiance, service, and food was great! Great drinks too :)
We chose six.one.six for our Valentine’s Day Dinner. The food itself was very good. I would highly recommend the French onion soup! We each had the special that night which was steak. Both of our steaks were cooked well. Our drinks were good, too. The staff we interacted with- waitress and manager- both seemed agitated, which was a little disappointing.
Was not a huge fan of this place. They called me after my reservation was made to inform me that they over booked and I would be sitting at mixology not even in the restaurant. We got there and got seated fast but our server was very slow took our order and brought us the wrong food out. Then when it was time to pay I gave them a gift card for $60 and told her to put the rest of the bill on my card, for some reason she ran the gift card for $50 and then charged my card for the $87.38 the whole bill. When we asked her what happened she had no clue so she went to her boss and told me she messed up and they would be crediting my account but they still needed to charge it again for $37.38 which was the total after the $50 from the gift card came off. Don’t think I will be going back there.
We were underwhelmed by the whole experience. The food was ok, but not excellent. If we go back, we would be more likely to dine in the nonformal bar/lounge area. Better river views, alternate menu and closer to entertainment. Parking was supposed to be validated, but did not work when we tried to exit and we had to pay $18.
The food was mediocre at best. To start, we ordered a Chevre appetizer which was a bit bland. My martini was fine, but nothing special. I ordered the truite meunière for my entree which was two filets, a little baby lettuce and a few boiled potatoes. I also ordered the asparagus which was supposed to have hollandaise sauce over it. The sauce was missing. The fish was fine, but again, nothing special. My husband ordered the pasta provençale which he said was ok. If I had been asked if I would like another drink right before my fish was served, I would have gotten a glass of white wine, but I wasn't asked until I was half way finished, so didn't. For dessert, we shared the chocolate madcap. That was amazing. Our server was very kind, but I feel missed a few things. We walked out having spent $200. What we got was not worth what we paid.
The staff at 616 in the JW Marriott always try hard to please their guests. And, they always succeed. Great experience.
First time there and was never greeted with any welcoming attitude. Our waitress made me feel like we were a bother and she got my order wrong after i explained to her how i wanted it. Food was okay, but nothing seemed to stand out. I had high expectations for the escargot but was let down.
Perfect for a business lunch. Atmosphere is bright. Some of the 2 top tables are too close together for private conversation
We were seated in the back corner of the restaurant where there was no one else; it was quiet and comfortable. We thought the menu lacked a little variety--not that I expected or wanted pizza and burgers also, just that the options had a certain sameness to them. The short ribs were excellent and what I expected; the pork chops were good but the "potato-like" bed they were on was a bit weird and not that tasty. Our waitress did not convey depth of knowledge about the menu items, but she was sufficiently attentive. So not over the moon about the place but it was good.
We love coming here, last night we tried coming but the lobby area was closed for a private party....not a good idea for regular guests.... keep it open to the public
Just had a bad experience with over cooked steak replaced with another over cooked steak with no apologies or anything comped. $108 two people 2 drinks each one appetizer and SPLIT a poorly executed (twice) steak. We come here specifically for the service and lately it’s been getting worse and this by far sucked, sorry just feel bad about how we seemed to be treated by the management, no hard feeling towards our waitress.
Went for dinner prior to a downtown concert. Our server was very friendly and attentive, not too much and not too little. The salmon chowder soup was amazing as was the creme brulee for dessert. Atmosphere noise level was perfect for a conversation at the table. My dirty martini was perfect!
Terrific service, nice ambiance and very good food. Nice location and valet parking!
Took my wife for our anniversary. It had been a while since we had been there and the menu had changed but the food in the french inspired menu is amazing. We were even surprised a dessert.
Six One Six took care of my wife and I for our 10 year anniversary this evening. They did not disappoint in any way, shape or form. Every person on the staff gave their best effort and we were visited by the GM as well as given a dessert as their gift to us. From hostess to management we were wished a happy anniversary - one we will not soon forget thanks to their hospitality. Everything was great that we tried - Escargot, Short ribs, Salmon...and it was plenty of portion. Top notch 616 - y’all did great on every level!
Excellent meal! Everything was outstanding!
The best vibe, quality, and service for Sunday Brunch in town.
To be fair, past dinners we have had at this establishment have been outstanding. But it had been a few years since we dined here. Our server was pleasant and responsive without being too intrusive. We both had two very good soups. The French Onion soup was superb. However, our entrees were disappointing. I had a chicken dish which, when presented, looked delicious, but the taste was bland and uninteresting. The chicken was also not as tender as one would expect. My wife had a cassoulet dish that was similarly uninspiring and not as tender as others we have had elsewhere.
Unfortunately our waitress was not attentive and even after asking twice for a glass of wine, it had to be delivered by the floor manager. Our fois gras was so cold, it was difficult to cut and was swimming in something. Very disappointing. Our other non-drinking guests felt hurried since no cocktail was being ordered, they felt pushed to order dinner. The food, by all our standards, was disappointing. The cassoulet had little flavor as did the chicken. Soup was good, although not hot. The smashed potatoes that my sister ordered with her filet was cold, but she refused to send them back. Needless to say, it would have gone a long way if the chef had come out or someone from the kitchen actually cared about what left for the dining room. Won’t be back.
