food and service excellent once again. looking forward to the next visit
Table was ready when promised. Seven of us and we didn’t feel cramped at all. Great wine list! Fantastic food. Quiet enough that all of us could hear good conversation. Wonderful ambience. We all had a great time and would go again in a heartbeat.
We were celebrating three significant birthdays and it was a lovely dinning experience. Accessibility for anyone with handicap was very difficult.
Service was great, food are delicious, view are romantic. Great restaurant , I do recommend for anytime or any occasion ❤️👸🏻👍
Fantastic food, fantastic service with a fantastic view! The next time we visit California, we will definitely dine here again!
Excellent good. It was raining but it made the evening more enjoyable.
Was not the most cost effective but worth every penny
Loved it very delicious, great presentation and outstanding service.
Everything was top notch, the service, the food and the setting. My wife and I made reservations about a month ago as we were travelling from Michigan to California to visit our son and his family. It was impressive to say the least.
The food and service are outstanding. I love the art deco atmosphere, and of course being on the Queen Mary is a unique experience. I highly recommend it when in the Long Beach area.
The best meal we have had in years. Simply amazing. I would definitely recommend Sir Winston's to anyone tired of eating out looking for some real food.
Very traditional high end restaurant on the Queen Mary. The experience was just as special as the first time we dined there decades ago. Formal setting, great menu selections, and superb wait staff attention. Definitely a perfect location for a special occasion dining experience.
Excellent service and thank you for the dessert
Super satisfied,so formal dining, like the venue,...evrything was very good
Incredible service! Warm and welcoming. Jesus was our waiter and he was wonderful. The food was incredible and the Grand Marnier soufflé was like no other. We went for our anniversary be they truly made it unforgettable.
It is always a fabulous experience!
It was a great overall experience, the staff was amazing and very courteous. The food was to die for, these meals will leave you with just barely any room for dessert. The menu is a simple one which I loved, it didn't overwhelm me. I give this place a 10/10 really great place for a romantic dinner
Very friendly staff and great food, good value for the money
Took advantage of the dine Long Beach promotion and enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal with cocktails and wine. The food overall was good. The bread with salted butter, lobster bisque and Cesar salad were excellent, the steak was very well cooked and seasoned but a the cut had a bit too much sinew. While the flourless lava cake and tiramisu were good, I probably wouldn’t order either again. Overall the food was good, but could have been a little better.
The thing that will definitely make me return, however, was the service and ambiance. As soon as you walk into the restaurant it feels like you are stepping back in time in a wonderful way. Our waitress, Courtney, was probably the best waitress I’ve ever had. She was on top of everything and the perfect combination of attentive while also giving us space to enjoy our evening.
Overall a lovely evening and we will definitely return.
We enjoyed our meal at Sir Winstons. The vibe was friendly and fun within a classy historic setting. The service was great and the food was excellent!!!! We highly recommend it as a perfect date night if you're looking for something different.
Amazing and elegant. It was so much better than the overpriced tourist traps and infinitely higher quality. We had chateaubriand for two and a bottle of wine, watched the sunset. Dreamy.
The food was amazing. The service was impeccable. We will definitely be returning.
Good menu and great views in a historic environment
The food was absolutely fantastic as was the service. Sir Winston's wasn't overcrowded and there weren't any screaming children in attendance. I would definitely go back again. The wait staff was very attentive, but not in an interupting your meal kind of way, and we ended up ordering 2 dessert because we couldn't decide and they were both excellent.
Atmosphere was perfect but I felt like some individuals were way too stuffy. I mean a few looked as though they wanted to appear as though they were loaded with cash. Then there was polar opposite with a couple in shorts and t shirts WITH their dog (not a service animal) so I'm not really sure what the requirements are for dress. The meal cost was an average of $35 per person and appetizers/salads averaged about $20 each. I had the Petaluma duck and my husband had the beef Wellington. We certainly are not food critics but we know what we like and we both agreed that Sir Winstons was excellent! The bill came to $150 plus tax. That included bread and butter prior to our meal, an appetizer to share, 2 dinners, and 2 mixed beverages. I felt this was a fair price for an upscale place. Also, we had no idea but there is a nice quiet little bar within the restaurant. We chose to leave but it was a nice place as well. We waived dessert and the waiter brought us chocolate covered strawberries. We will go back!
We enjoyed sharing the Chateaubriand for two on our romantic "babymoon" getaway aboard the Queen Mary! Great view, ambiance and food... prefect place for a date or special occasion!!
Great dining experience with delicious food options and very good service.
Excellent off the menu specials.
Most important, not rushed but relaxing atmosphere.
We were seated immediately.. but we weren't given menus.
After 10 minutes, our server approached us and asked if we had any questions. I asked if we could have a menu.
The menu is limited, but it does include a fish, a red meat, and a chicken option.
The cocktails were excellent.
The Chateaubriand was not cooked to order..
The beef Wellington was excellent.
I loved the salted butter and the bread was amazing..
The service was a little slow but friendly.
The bathrooms are very outdated and in desperate need of a remodel.
Overall, excellent ambience.
Be warned!!!!! Some tables have a beautiful view, but many, including ours, do not.
Service was excellent. Food was amazing. Wasnt rushed and had a wonderful view. Well worth the money spent
Food and service was outstanding!
Dress attire should be enforced a little better, due to seeing some customers comng in and dining in regular street clothes. Prices are reasonable for the food . Great restaurant! Would definitely recommend for an couples night oit looking for and upscale restaurant.
Food was amazing . Very great service. Will definitely comeback
Excellent food, beautiful table overlooking the water. Service was perfect. Very old fashion in a good way. Atmosphere was Excellent. Steak cooked perfectly and lobster was delicious. Had French onion soup and one of the best tasting. Perfect for a special occasion
Excellent food and Service. Beautiful view of the Long Beach City Lights from the Historical Queen Mary.
Food was terrible! I have sent very few items back in my entire life, but all of our filets & lobster tails were brought to the table cold in temperature. I do not mean they were not hot, or warm. I mean the food was COLD! We sent it back, and twenty minutes later when they finally brought it back, it was STILL barely warm! The food was not good! This restaurant is on an old ship, the carpet is dirty, and there were stains on the white tablecloth when we sat down. This is no where near a FINE restaurant. I am normally very complimentary and not hard to please. But this was by far my worst dining experience in the last 25 years. If you eat here, you are eating here for the history of the ship.
We stayed aboard Queen Mary for two nights and opted for this restaurant on the second evening.
We thought the waiter was outstanding. We had an excellent table and he offered sound advice with regards to the wine selection. The food was faultless.
There was a rather noisy group a few tables away who liked the sound of their own voices but other than that no complaints at all
It was an anniversary dinner, and my wife and I have studied their menu prior to the dinner. And we are very satistfied with their food, as well as their wine list. To our surprises, the restaurant offered us a nice cake for dessert. The waiter (I didn't catch his name) was very professional and friendly. Not only the view across from the RMS Queen Mary was breathtaking, the overall atmosphere at the restaurant is just classy. Recommended.
We celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary and the food was great! My husband said it was the best he had in a while. Service was very attentive.
The food was amazing. The seating and atmosphere was devine. The service was friendly. Only thing I would say is I wish the servers would do more rounds to check on the tables to see if they needed anything while waiting for food but other than that they really went out of their way to make our night special. Loved it!
Prior to having our dinner at 5:30PM, we spent the first couple of hours enjoying the views, history, and amenities of the Queen Mary. We were celebrating my dear friends birthday, which he really enjoyed. It was a great place to celebrate a special occasion with those who are dear to you and that you care about. Thank you for a most enjoyable day and evening, and a most wonderful dining experience.
The venue is older of course but very classy. Menu isnt huge but has some top notch choices. French onion soup was delicious as were the meals of cheataubriand and beef wellington for around $45 each. The part I was unhappy about was dessert, the waiter told us after our meal there would be a soufle with two flavor choices. After our entres he returned and asked each of us if we wanted grand marnier or chocolate soufles so we made our selection and got two decent sized soufles which were good but we honestly didnt welcome as we had our fill with the main course alone. When the bill arrived we discovered the two soufles were $16 a piece and obviously not included with the meal. I still tipped the waiter a $20 as that wasn't even 10% but I dont plan on returning or recommending to anyone.
