Food and service are always good. They've just added an option to be able to "tip" the kitchen staff by buying them a round of beer for $12 - what a great idea!! Owner, Fabian, takes the time to get to know the regulars and make us feel welcome, each and every time!
Our server was kind and engaging, the food was good, and it was a great reprieve since I had been on day 2 of 4 without power at that point. It was a little on the pricey side, but we did have 2 cocktails each and split a dessert, in addition to our entrees. I'd return for the service and food but as a treat.
Sips is a great neighborhood gem in Phoenixville. Love their delicious Cocktails - Sips Margarita never disappoints. Great Beer selection and nice varied Menu. Exceptional, friendly service starting with the owner who goes out of his way to welcome each customer. The Sips salad was one of the most delicious I've had in years, fresh, simple & Yum! The Short Rib Grilled cheese hits the spot for our teenage son. The homemade soups, provencal mussels & nice selection of seasonal oysters are highlights we look forward too. Slightly off the beaten path but worth the trip.
My wife and I arrived on time and informed the hostess the other couple was delayed by a storm/power outage. We had a drink until they arrived, only to be told our reservation had been cancelled because we didn’t “check in”. (Which we had) They did find a table for us and dinner was excellent. I was told since my Opentable reservation had been cancelled, I’d have to rebook it in order to get points. Not sure if that has happened.
Overall, a minor glitch to an otherwise nice dinner.?
Didn’t know what expect. Took some colleagues and it turned out terrific food was very good, the service was excellent, and the location easy to find. I’ll be back!
The staff is very nice and always accommodating. Food is absolutley delicious.
You can't beat Sips on Sunday evenings. They have a BYOB policy and accept groupons too!
What a fabulous experience! The people were very friendly and the food was amazing! I am still dreaming about the Norwegian Benedict and cucumber Bloody Mary and trying to figure out how I can get back to Sips soon! (It is nearly an hour away from me, but I was meeting a friend who lives nearly an hour in the other direction.)
Have had a number of excellent meals at SIPS. Food and service are consistent,. Atmosphere is not fancy and prices ,especially wines are on high side. Best for BYOB on Sunday.
Wonderful food and service. Always pleased.
Excellent food. Great bartender, James, and waiter, Eric
Sips never disappoints. We went on a Sunday when it's BYOB and no corkage fee! The food is always fresh and tastes great. Service is attentive and friendly. The dining room is a romantic setting. And it helps that they have their own parking lot so you don't have to search through town for a spot. The Escargots are always a hit for me. The Thai Curry mussels were very tasty, without being overly spicy.
Favorite place to go. Love love love this place. Never disappointed.
First time at Sip’s. Enjoyed happy hour cocktails & price. The mussels were great and I will be again soon!
Had an excellent dinner for Valentine’s Day. The food was perfect as usual and the experience very relaxing. We will be back.
Had a wonderful Valentine's dinner here tonight - we were lucky enough to get a last minute reservation on one of the busiest nights of the year and it was fantastic. Escargot and fried brussels sprouts were already amazing as apps, but that beef bouginon was beyond delicious. Staff were courteous, amicable, and knowledgeable. We would highly recommend and as first timers, will no doubt be returning ourselves.
Sips is a lovely restaurant with great, attentive service. The food is very good, with a great brunch selection. I eaten here for full dinner, sitting at the bar eating bar food and for Sunday brunch... never disappointed.
We always enjoy wonderful food and a terrific staff at Sips!
This is a great place to meet friends for dinner or a great drink. Either one would be a total treat.
The bar area is nice and cozy but the Dining room needs a make-over. Our waitress was very friendly. I ordered the butternut squash goat cheese ravioli. The menu described it as Boeing præparer with mushrooms, leeks and parmesan cheese. My dish had frozen mixed vegetables ( peas & carrots) all over the ravioli. There wasn’t any mushrooms or leeks. Not only did it look unapeeling, it tasted linke frozen veggies, so I sent it back.
When in doubt, ordre a burger. The burger was fine.
I reel the proces Sips charges are too much for the atmosphere and location. I frequently dine at Parc in the city and the proces are basically the same. Parc NOT only has great food and service but the resturaunt is beautiful.
Sips doesn’t hold a candle and should not charge the same prices.
First date was the purpose of the visit. It was a an excellent meal. the service was exceptional. The first table at which we were seated was wobbly and the staff tried everything to help us fix the situation then just moved us. I really enjoyed the food, as authentic as I recall it from having lived in France for two years.
Sips is mine and my husband’s favorite restaurant in Phoenixville. It’s so cozy and we always have the nicest service. Michael is great and we love coming in to see him. Our favorite meal at Sips is brunch. In the summer, we enjoy sitting outside and listening to the musician while drinking bottomless mimosas! It’s the best brunch in Pville! Oh, and there’s a parking lot too :)
Great mussels - interesting sauces. Best bar in Pville.
Amazing as always. Love sips.
I went to Sips for Brunch. The staff was exceptionally accommodating and polite and the food was very good and presented well. Parking was a little difficult since the 2 overflow parking lots were not clearly marked for Sips' patrons. Sips should consider a valet parking option on busy days. I recommend making a reservation if you are planning to dine at Sips. Overall a very pleasant dining experience.
Brunch Food & waitress were good, but the noise level was awful! (To the restaurants defense) there was a loud 10 people party seated behind us & our table of 4 could NOT hear each other across own table! Sound absorbers are NEEDED! We asked to be moved but said could not (although they had tables open).
Sips is one of my favorite restaurants and I love going there. Always an enjoyable meal, great service and excellent wine. I will be back!
It was very pretty inside and service was good. I thought it was pricey for what we had.
Love love love it.
Found this place via Living Social. Had an amzing meal ........delicious! Will be returning.
Great food, nice selection of beer and wine, good mixed drinks, excellent service, beautiful old bar, convenient parking (though I usually just walk there).
Excellent french onion soup! The chicken sliders were great and my friend enjoyed her fried oysters. Nice place, if I lived closer I’d stop in frequently just for the soup!
New Years! Nice!
Decided to give it a try Christmas eve with some girl friends. What a great choice, we were greeted at the door by Michael telling him we were there for the Bloody Mary's and high expectations. We were seated and attended to by a very friendly staff that provided the correct amount of interaction and banter. The food was great and portions were NOT typically french, they were generous. And to my shock the Croque Madame was perfect, I have had many failed interpretations in the past. What a great way to spend christmas eve. thank you, we will be back!
Saturday of Christmas weekend was not busy at Sips, so we were able to enjoy time with family sharing some wonderful memories over a good meal. I had the frittata with side salad, and everyone else had the omelet with potatoes. Both were really good! We like the feel of the indoor patio, too. It was a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the season!
Two in our party were disappointed with their meal. We patronized Sips when they first opened. The French owner worked the front desk. It was great to see him checking on people in the dining room to see if all was satisfactory. Not any more. The food coming out of the kitchen now lacks the enthusiasm they had when they opened. It shows.
We have been to Sips Bistro & Bar in the summer. We were offered seasonal specials. This time the waiter did not mention anything to us. We just ordered from the menu. The butter lettuce salad was very good. The presentation of food is quite nice. The dice carrots and peas on the beef bourguigon add beautiful color to the brown beef. The dish is pretty tasty although some beef pieces are kind of tough. We were quite full so we did not try the dessert. Every Sunday is BYOB without corkage.
Our third visit to Sips, and each one has been fantastic. The food is delicious (large portions, too), the drinks are made to perfection, the service is flawless, and the bistro itself is wonderful.
We had amazing food and service. Love the Sunday Brunch!
Always consistent, always good. Very good value for the price. Love that parking is easy. Nice to see some classic dishes remain on the menu.
