Love this place. Fun atmosphere, really great food, lovely staff and a good value on my limited expense account budget. The tableside guacamole is AMAZING!
Food was very good. Took a long time to get the check.
This place has all the potential in the world but the staff just didn't make it a good experience. Got the "tableside" guac and they didn't prepare it tableside... even when we requested it. Had 3 teenagers and they wanted to watch so although the product was good the delivery was lacking. Food overall was fine... not the best...not the worst... just above average. Was hoping for a lot more but wouldn't come back based on this experience.
Good food as usual. The service has not been so good: I asked a Guacamole as Apetizer and a Shrimp Fajitas as Main Course but I received only the Shrimp Fajitas.
Ok for after work drinks. Not for a date.
Very nice place, my client and I enjoyed the meal and the casual, fun ambiance.
The server lady made us feel so special! Food had some novel items like mango with chile relleno.
Some of the best food I've eaten in a long time, with great service.
WAY too expensive for run of the mill Mexican food.
I was a little disappointed that they had changed the menu, but everything was good, as usual. The chips are nice and light and not full of oil. The guacamole is delicious. I had the sampler platter and everything was very good. I especially love all the little tasty sauces that they serve with the meal. My friends ordered the filet mignon enchiladas and with shrimp and they loved it.
Great place midtown for group lunch! Food and drinks are excellent!
The restaurant was fair at best. The drinks were pricey and had very little alcohol. The food was not to write home about. The service was fine, but the restaurant is nothing special
Food was delicious. The service was very good. Enjoyed everything
Great guacamole and extensive tequila menu! Usual great traditional Mexican fare options. I had the fajita salad and corn cake which was delicious.
I’ve been here a couple of times prior to this Friday, and had a better experience overall then.
Friday we had about 4 different waiters, and had to ask for basic things. The small plates that were set initially all had food still on them. The place needs an update in booths and fixtures.
I will not be attending this place or suggesting it to others.
Wonderful for a casual lunch with a friend; very friendly, efficient service and easygoing delicious food. Will return to try again and to try for dinner. Would probably be good pre-theater as well!
The bar scene was pretty lively at happy hour. Very close to Grand Central, so convenient for the ride home. The food was pretty good, although we asked for mild guacamole and got it very bland. Loved the combo option, so we could pick two entrees to try out. It was a little expensive for the quality, but that’s most of the restauarants in that area. Our server was great and very attentive (thank you Gelseka!). I would return.
We had a great experience at the restaurant. There was a variety of food to choose from even with my restricted diet.
Everything we ordered was well prepared and wonderful. We ordered 2 different fajitas and they were true to the great recommendation of the staff and prior reviews.
Great service, food and atmosphere. Will be back!
Really good meal, service was efficient and they were not opposing. Food was delivered promptly and never felt rushed. Would go back again
Our server was fantastic. He was quick, friendly and attentive. He make our experience great. The only criticism is that the prices are a bit high, especially for lunch. You should have a separate lunch menu with cheaper prices. I wouldn't come back for a business lunch because of the prices.
Have been numerous times ....always great!!
This is Mexican food for New Yorkers. It is not like TexMex in Dallas but it beats food out of Old El Paso Brand cans.
This alcoholic beverages, however, are well above average and make up for not being the Southwest. I recommend the Sangria and the Coffee with El Patron tequila liqueur.
The server has helpful and attentive and the seating was quiet and comfortable.
The food is good, the price is right but the noise level is way up there!!!
Food was great, service extremely slow.
The enchiladas and corn cake are great. The guacamole and margaritas are great combos.
What a horror! Service in this place is the most disappointing thing I have ever experienced. Completely untrained servers that never come by your table, make changes to your order without consulting with you first and simply ignore the order of your meal.
Though, if you are more into the food and don’t care about having your guacamole after your entire meal has been completed, the food is quite delicious. I’d simply say this is a take-out kind of restaurant.
Food was delicious- the service was not so great. Could have just been an off night- the food was excellent so I would try it again
Excellent food and service! Will definitely be back.
Repeat customers. Amazing food. Big fan of the filet Mignon enchiladas and the shrimp. Beautiful atmosphere. Will return again even though for the first time in all our visits the service was really lacking.
Place was great. Pineapple margarita was good. Overall prices were a bit on the high end for what you’re getting but I guess that’s midtown for you.
The servers didn’t clean up after themselves and there were plates sitting everywhere on the tables around us. Food was delicious, but disappointed with the service
Food was decent and ambiance nice. The bad news was that our server made us feel like we were imposing on her time and they have the worst excuse for a any Margarita I have ever seen and $11 to boot.
The service and food were excellent. But, most disappointing was the ambiance. To my taste it did not feel authentic. I would have appreciated more 'Mexican' feel, more Mexican music.
I have been to Sinigual a few times this was my least favorite visit. I am not sure if they were understaffed that night but the wait staff did seem inexperienced. We had to wait close to 10 minutes for our drink order then it seemed like we were rushed for our food order.
The waiter also brought our check with out asking if we wanted anything else.
The food was very good.
The table side prepared guacamole was superb. Also, jalapeño skirt steak was outstanding. Very loud music—not conducive to quiet conversation.
Service was outstanding by wait staff, food was great.
BAD ! BAD! BAD!
