Pennsylvania 6, is a new restaurant that is changing the landscape of the Herald Square neighborhood. Bringing with it the feeling of Old New York and a new taste of classic American dining, Pennsylvania 6 is a 21st Century cross between the Oak Room and the Oyster Bar. (The name is a tribute to Pennsylvania 6-5000, the phone number of the nearby Pennsylvania Hotel, made famous in the song of the same name performed by the Glenn Miller Orchestra.) Born of casual American roots with a sophisticated culinary twist, boasting a raw bar stocked with the finest oysters and shellfish, and an artisanal cocktail bar, a craft beer list, and an eclectic wine list, there could be no better time for its introduction, as the neighborhood continues to evolve and the bordering NoMad neighborhood becomes a burgeoning dining destination with The Breslin, John Dory, the Ace Hotel and NoMad.

We were warmly greeted and seated close to our reservation time. Our server was attentive and kind throughout the meal. Of the three items we ordered, the Knickerbocker Burgers and Cheesesteak Egg Rolls were tasty and the serving sizes were sufficient. The good size portion of fig/fontina cheese flatbread, however, was dry and the cheese was barely there. I would not order it again.

Ok place for a sit-down lunch in the food desert near Penn Station. Service and food were OK. Wouldn't travel to go eat here

This little gem was around the corner from our hotel and came up with good reviews. I’m so glad we tried it because it was perfect! My daughter & I both had a salad & shared an appetizer. Perfect calm dinner after a hectic busy day of college tours. Plus an adorable front decor with lights & plants. To me that makes a regular place extraordinary! Great photo opportunities after dinner! (Minus the homeless man in front) two 👍🏼👍🏼

We had a lovely time at Pennsylvania 6 for our anniversary. Our food was delicious, our service was quick and fantastic, and we left with smiles on our faces!

Our server was extremely frazzled and didn’t seem to know much about the restaurant or food. The food was mediocre at best and priced way too high.

My dinner tonight was a Caesar salad and 1/2 portion of gnocchi. The salad was delicious and served with fresh anchovies which I love. The gnocchi small portion was perfect size, slightly sweet in a delicious sage brown butter sauce . My only complaint was the gnocchi were too heavy ...perhaps a slight change in the recipe would result in a more fluffy potato dumpling . My friend had the salmon which was cooked perfectly.
