Desde el primer Michael's Genuine Food & Drink abierto en el Design District de Miami en la primavera del 2007, los comensales han abrazado y deseado la combinación entre un ambiente relajado y comida realmente buena que ofrece este bistro local. En este lugar el chef y propietario Michael Schwartz, muestra lo mejor de lo que sabe hacer y prepara platillos caseros, modestos, deliciosos y con un énfasis en ingredientes locales excelentes. El restaurante está abierto los 7 días de la semana y sirve almuerzos, un menú por la tarde, cena y brunch. El salón comedor principal y el patio cuentan con capacidad para recibir a 100 comensales, mientras que el bar puede recibir a 16 con 24 lugares adicionales en la barra de la recepción, en donde los clientes pueden disfrutar del menú de la tarde y de la barra de mariscos de 15:00 a 17:30, de lunes a sábado. Los platillos pequeños destacan durante el brunch dominical mediante un menú de elementos dulces y salados que cambia semanalmente. El restaurante está ubicado en la animada zona del Design District, el cual es el nuevo patio de lujo y moda de Miami.

Pretty pricey and not that great. They seemed to have run out of everything last night. They did not have the Wagyu steak. Several other items on the menu they had ran out of as well. $31 for a burger. They didn’t even have the right bread for it. Because again, I guess they ran out of burger buns. $11 for a scoop of ice cream. We went with vanilla because they had run out of the Biscoff flavor. Everything was mediocre best. The service was not great either. Will not be returning. Overpriced and not the best experience. They didn’t even try to make up for it.

Everyone you encounter here is extremely gracious and professional. I enjoy dining here. The chef is first rate and they have been around for ages - tried and true.

We come to this restaurant for many years. I don’t know what happened but our experience was different this time. I made a reservation in advance and ask for a nice table for my reunion celebration. We came and were told that they only have a table outside in 95 degrees weather. It was too late to get a table on Sat night . The restaurant had a big party inside .so we were not notified about that. The food was so bad.it felt like it was prepared 2 days in advance. It’s a shame .we used to love this place. It’s really mismanaged and overlooked.

I love this place but something was off with the food and service last night. The server was rushed and wasnt paying attention to the table and what we needed. She didn’t offer anything other than water, the food was ok but one of the dishes was extremely salty and the dessert was awful. I have been coming here for several years and the food and service have always been excellent so not sure if there have been changes that affected food and service.

Two courses were poorly cooked. Waitperson was affable when she came to table, but her appearances there were few and far between. (We waited 20 minutes for our order to be taken, another 15 after requesting the check.) She seemed to have been assigned too many tables, inside and outside; she seemed overwhelmed and distracted. We appreciated not being charged for the poor courses and the free piece of cheesecake, but competent service and consistent food would have been preferable. Michael’s sure isn’t what it used to be.
