   I often pick my restaurants based on their availability through OpenTable. When we arrived for lunch and I told them I had a reservation they told me they do not use OpenTable. Wasn’t a big deal because it was 10° out and there was no weight but if it had been busy I would’ve been out of luck. As always Joe the server was absolutely incredible.Only wish the shrimp bisque had been hotter on a cold day. Only reason I am not giving them five stars is because they are not actively using OpenTable. Which makes it kind of misleading especially since I lost 100 points.

   Do not use opentable for Nick’s. They claim they don’t use the service so either Nicks is lazy and won’t fix it or open table won’t let them off the service. The food is great though!

   It was very busy and when we arrived for our reservation we were told that the restaurant does not do reservations and they don’t participate in open table. They don’t know why open table has them listed as taking reservations. They accommodated us as best they could. While at the bar waiting there were two other parties who also used open table only to find that Nicks doesn’t accept that.

   It was good but they did not have our reservation as they said they did not have a relationship with OpenTable so we had to wait 30 minutes past our reservation time.

   We made reservations through OpenTable for New Year's Eve, but upon our arrival we found out that Nick's doesn't participate in OpenTable. They said they have no way of knowing who has booked. Luckily they were able to get us in within a relatively short time. We enjoyed drinks at the bar - bartender was wonderful! Our waitress was very overwhelmed (she told us so)...took a long time to get our drink orders, for her to take our orders, etc. Luckily we were just enjoying the evening and didn't have plans after dinner. As I looked around, she was the only staff member who seemed stressed. Food was wonderful! Would definitely go back - maybe our waitress was just having a rough day. I do have hesitations about using OpenTable if they have restaurants out there that aren't affiliated with them.

   Always a hit when I take clients or friends to Nicks. Great service, food is always done to perfection and the restaurant brings back the days of a supper club. This reservation was for lunch and my go to is the Chinese Chicken Salad. It never disappoints. The waitress did a great job of keeping our ice tea glasses full. I will always go back to Nicks.

   My husband and I have eaten at Nicks many times. Tonight we sat for several minutes before anyone came to take a drink order or even offer water. I ordered the pork and my husband the chicken Oscar. Both meals were very tasty but barely warm. The waitress finally came and asked if food was good and we said yes but barely warm. She offered to have it warmed but we declined. It would just be put in a microwave. We were given a discount which we were not expecting. This is not a normal meal at this restaurant but I felt it needed to be known.

   Six of us seated with reservations. Took forever for the waitress to come to our table to even get drinks. Then took forever for her to come and take our order. We said we would just do apps at this point. Apps came and were yummy. When she asked how it was, we said good but think we will actually do more than apps and eat dinner there now. She said ok and walked away. Took forever again for to come back. At this point we are like no way are we waiting if it’s going to take this long so far for everything else. Timed the point of saying we want our bills to walking out the door, 11 minutes. So slow. Only thing good was the food.

    The food was fantastic but the service was horrible. There were four of us in the party and the server forgot to put in one of our orders. Then he messed up two of the other orders. The three people were done eating before the final dish arrived. We didn't get an apology for the delay but did receive a free dessert. It didn't sound like we were the only party around us that had this issue. Many tables around us were waiting to even be greeted after they were sat down. We unfortunately won't be returning to Nicks Bar & Grill due to this experience.
