A friend and I met here for lunch as it was a midway point for each of us. The menu looked fab (which was another reason for booking) but we only ate from the sandwich menu on this occasion. However, we will be back with friends to try the full lunch menu in a few weeks time. The pub had a lovely vibe to it and the staff were great.

Delightful country pub with very friendly, hard working staff. Food very good, including the vegetarian roast. I do think the roast beef is over- priced at £25 though.

Good and will go again but under new management that needs bedding in. The Saturday Night Live Band entertainment was intrusive into the bar end of the restaurant and too noisy there. Waitresses inexperienced but friendly and helpful and need training. Chicken Milanese had no sauce, so was a little dry. Good food and wine otherwise.

We went to get Royal Oak for my birthday meal. The pub was lovely, we were shown to our table straight away. Staff were attentive. We did order wine and teh wrong bottle came, then the correct bottle was just put on the table. We were not asked to try it, it wasn't opened for us and we had to ask for a wine cooler. The food was nice although my husband had scallops and the sauce was quite salty. His steak was ok but nothing special. Overall it was an ok pub meal but definitely not anything special.

Food was good and an attractive menu. Service very friendly and welcoming. However, there was a long wait for the food which didn't appear to be justified by the number of people dining that night, and the music was unecessarily loud and not appropriate for the audience.
