   New ownership’s true and classic Italian cooking was awesome! Waitstaff was excited and eager to please. Background music perfect. Ambiance was very Friday-night festive in a low key sort of way. We definitely want to help this restaurant achieve so we can keep it in the neighborhood!

   The food is simple, mid-range quality. There is nothing innovative about the meals and presentation, but it did taste good. It is not fine dining but you do get prompt and reliable service. The lighting is painful - bright white. Looking around at the other diners, I imagine it is intended to allow seniors to more easily see the menu. I get it…just awfully harsh lighting. Because the price is comparable to better-quality dining in Bellevue, we won’t likely be back.

   First time visiting Andiamo. Can’t say we were BLOWN away, but we weren’t disappointed. Pros: Food was good. I had the Carbonara which was quite tasty. I typically like the traditional version, that doesn’t use a cream sauce, but the sauce in the Carbonara was excellent. I sopped up all the sauce with the bread! Service was very good. I think we Alex or was it Alexi? Anyway, the gentleman was very attentive and our glasses were never empty. Food arrived fast and hot. Tables were set with beautiful white linens and sparkling glasses and stem ware. Well done! Cons: For an Italian restaurant, the ambiance is pretty non-existant. Other than a few Italian prints on the walls and maybe the smell of pasta, you would never know you were in an Italian restaurant. I think the music playing might have been Top 40 hits. NOTE to MGMT: You have a gem of a restaurant, all be it a diamond in the rough. With the great food on your menu, you have a great foundation for building a “go to” restaurant. Add some ambiance. Make it romantic. Make your patrons feel like they are stepping in to a small eatery in Italy. We enjoyed our meal and will most likely return the next time we are in Bellevue and crave Italian!

   We were sat at window with insects flying around. Took over 15 minutes to place order. 2 tables left before waiter came to their tables. We waited over 1 hour for food to be served - 2 tables seated 15 and 30 minutes after us were served before us. Chief Chef didn’t show and our food wasn’t started fir more than 1/2 hour per waiter. 1 entry was not edible and returned; other tow were not prepared well.As we left, we spelled food burning in kitchen. Worst experience of my life. Food quality was poor and prices were high.

   The waiter was nice but we had to ask multiple times for water and bread. The food was served cold and my entree was not plated with the vegetables or spaghetti. It came out separately and was cold. The parmigiana cheese that was served had big chunks of mold in it and my friends fettuccine Alfredo was served dry and cold. She asked for a side of Alfredo sauce and was given a bowl of sauce with the consistency of milk with chunks of cheese in it. We lost our appetites and ended up not eating and going to the Cheesecake Factory instead for desserts and cocktails. The waiter was kind and did not charge us for anything. I won’t be coming back and would not recommend.

    I’ve been to Andiamo several times in the past, always with very attentive service, but that was a problem this time. Hesitant to comment about such things these days due to staffing problems in most restaurants, but the kitchen seemed solid and well staffed, the food was excellent. Just had a difficult time keeping our server’s attention, ordering, getting plates cleared, getting dessert menus - the sorts of things that just make the experience more pleasant.
