This elegant, newly refurbished restaurant inside The Maynard country house and hotel in the Derbyshire Peak National Park is a luxurious escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. With stunning views of the Derwent Valley, the cosmopolitan dining room at The Restaurant at Maynard features dark chocolate walls, chic gunmetal-grey Chesterfield lounges and vibrant contemporary artworks by local artists. The innovative modern European menu features bold dishes such as the saddle of rabbit stuffed with home-made black pudding served with vanilla and parsnip mash; confit of duck and chicken terrine served with plum chutney; and the deliciously decadent triple-chocolate roly poly with hand-made praline.

    The Restaurant at The Maynard Grindleford, Hope Valley, Derbeyshire was a delightful experience for us. The Venue itself is superb and, when we saw the elegant decor, we expected the meal to be very expensive. To our complete surprise we discovered that, not only was it very reasonable but it was also top quality. 10/10 for excellence it is everything the website says ..and more.
