   We absolutely love this restaurant. It’s our favorite in Ventura. Jamie, Our server was fantastic and the food was wonderful.

   My experience at rumfish was great. I was in town for work and a local recommended it, and it did not disappoint. I had the 16oz steak, the halibut ceviche, and the key lime pid. The ambience is beautiful as well as the food

   Arrived a bit early, went to bar for drinks, were served quickly, great cocktails. Was seated at our table outside, very nice setting, beautiful evening. It was a busy evening, so we weren't approached by a server for at least 5 minutes. He covered the specials, we ordered our food, and finished our cocktails. Food was very slow to arrive. It was brought by a runner. I was served a side dish that was ordered by someone else in our party. I thought it looked different from what I ordered, took a bite, then discovered it wasn't risotto, it was street corn. So another 5 minutes went by, and my risotto finally arrived. None of us loved our dishes. We had the fish stew, lobster risotto, fish tacos, beef lasagna. After we finished eating, our waiter finally made another appearance. He was apologetic, but it was way too long of an absence. We would have ordered another round of drinks. He offered us desserts on the house, which was appreciated. Overall we wouldn't return. The food wasn't good enough for a return visit. And the service this night was poor.

    Brought me mother and father in law to celebrate my mother in laws birthday and had the best time. Drank wine, had fish, soup tacos and dessert. This is our favorite place.
