My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at La Fatica last night. Located in the old center of Bologna, this charming restaurant did not disappoint. We stared by sharing the tortellini, the tiniest little knots served in a delectable cheese sauce. I had the seared tuna which was tasty but my husband’s filet stole the show. The meat was served rare and literally melted in the mouth. The 8 ounce filet was wrapped in bacon, topped with caramelized onions and drizzled with a red wine reduced. To further indulge ourselves, we ordered a dessert that was heavenly. A delicate pastry with the lightest of creme fresh that completed the meal to perfection. If you find yourself in Bologna, treat yourself to this extraordinary experience.

Our favorite dining experience in Bologna and one of the highlights of our trip to Italy! We enjoyed the wonderful wine recommendations, warm service from Domenico, and delicious food. The tiramisu was particularly good great! It was so wonderful that we came two nights in a row, and we’re already looking forward to our next dinner at La Fatica :)

We had a wonderful experience for a family meal here and it was our first taste of Bologna. The appetizers to desserts were well prepared and added to our enjoyment The service was great and allowed us to relax and enjoy each course.

Osteria molto ben curata, atmosfera tranquilla , cameriere professionale ma comunque simpatico ed alla mano! Piatti senza troppe pretese, ma da rivedere le lasagne.

Lovely meal here as a family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 kids. Staff were lovely and the food was amazing. Highly recommend.

Amazing good, professional staff and wonderful experience. Matteo is very observant, full of life and and provided all round fabulous service. He recommended different wine and dishes as the menu changes depending on what is fresh but we were not disappointed. Always trust the expert!

Wonderful Christmas Lunch - food and wine were outstanding, and Matteo and his team did an incredible job making sure everyone in the restaurant had a special time!
