While not inexpensive there was not one thing I’d recommend they change. Each of us absolutely loved what we had. Appetizers and deserts were works of art plus delicious. We did the wine pairings and I’d definitely do that again. Each wine was perfectly paired with all four of our meals. Sommelier was helpful and knowledgeable as well as friendly. This was a birthday dinner for my daughter and it was a perfect evening from start to finish. Thanks.

An evening at Bas Rouge was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of elegance—soft lighting, refined décor, and a sense of quiet sophistication that set the perfect stage for a memorable meal. The service was impeccable: the Maitre D' (Alex), who is French, is knowledgeable, professional and kind. He guided our wine choices to be perfect compliments of our dinner choices. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, expertly guiding us through the menu. Every detail, from the crisp linen to the perfectly timed courses, spoke to a deep commitment to hospitality. The food was the true star of the night. Each dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The fois gras was better than anything I had tasted in Paris! The chef’s creative twists on classic dishes showcased both technical skill and a passion for seasonal ingredients. Dining here is more than just a meal; it’s a celebration of culinary artistry and exceptional service. Whether for a special occasion or simply to indulge, this restaurant delivers an unforgettable fine dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking the pinnacle of gourmet cuisine and hospitality. Rivals the top restaurants in DC!

Second visit to Bas Rouge, what an amazing place. Decor is beautiful and welcoming. Service is expectable and the food is just amazing. Staff is very professional and accommodating. Can’t wait until the next visit. Worth the trip to the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

We have been to Bas Rouge at least 30 times and have always had outstanding meals. Still the Dover Sole tonight was a new high. Just outstanding. Bravo!!!

This is a top-tier destination for anyone seeking an exquisite evening. The service is impeccable and each course is a surprise and delight. The sommelier was impressive and listened to our table's suggestions and then he blew our minds with great choices. a 10 out of 10 experience.
