   It was a great lunch time treat for our anniversary. It was disappointing 3 or 4 dishes were unavailable however, the waiter did make us aware before we ordered. Our waiter was very attentive and took time to talk to us and checked in at various points after the food was served. Another table did have their phone on loud and we had various phone calls and ring door bell notifications which was frustrating!

   Booked via OpenTable but disappointed to get a call following day saying they had over booked and could we eat in bar. I agreed but asked if they could find a quiet corner as we had a 90 year old with in our party. Arrived to be ushered through packed bar to table surrounded by drinkers with large dogs & young children. Asked is we could move to table I’d seen vacant on way in and they obliged. Thereafter all was good, food excellent and well presented. Not sure id trust OpenTable booking in future .. ?

   We all had different roasts dinners today. Beef-lamb and pork. And was all delicious and served nice and hot. Be back soon 👍👍

   April 2025 lunch time. Unexpectedly our food was below par. Steak & Ale Pie contained tough, dry cubes of meat. Without expectation, the meat within these pies always fell apart, moist and luscious. Lovely waitress reported this to the chef. We expected a response Chef. We received silence. Saracens Head, little Brington has always been our go to for food, beer and ambiance Historically loyal consumers.

   The Saracens Head is a bit of a regular for us and the food is consistently excellent. We booked a table in the bar, so it was a bit more relaxed with a lively atmosphere. Saracens does amazing homemade pies - on the specials board - and the men in our group were delighted with the teriyaki pork pies last night. A couple of us had the market cut special which was a jerk seasoned pork chop, delicious. The new dessert menu made it very hard to choose. The service was brilliant and the choice of drinks, beers and wine is always great.

    One of the best Sunday dinners I’ve had in a very long time. Great food, very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend and will definitely going back.
